lampworking is so fun. beyond just making cool beads you can make sculptures and marbles as well as probably more. the way glass moves is so beautiful and can make some truly intricate and beautiful desigins. it’s very beginner friendly and easy to pick up and extremely fun and calming. it’s exciting to see lampworked jewlery getting a spotlight because people often overlook the intricacy of a simple glass bead.
Thank you. As Phillippa was only a guest, and I don't make lampwork beads, there won't be any more videos on making lampwork beads. However, I'm sure you can find lots of them on RUclips. Sorry.
This is a wonderful video showcasing an Artisan being creative. There's a lot involved with lampwork/firework. I admire the boro glass pendants and have thought about learning, but I'm a bit intimidated right now, hopefully, the more I research I will one day create this type of Art. Thanks for sharing. G'day Carol... greetings from across the pond...I am so excited to have found you here today on RUclips. So so enjoyed this video! Thanks for this informative video...have always wondered how glass beads were made...now I know lol. I am enjoying all your videos..off to binge watch all of your other videos. Blessings ☺️
And thats why lampwork beads can be pricey, the craftmanship and hardwork, lots of hours ,each bead is unique in its own way. Thanks Kirsten D Ont.Canada
I have a question, & I hope I don't offend anyone..... That's not my intention. Approximately how much does the entire set-up does it cost to be a beginner at making lampworks beads, etc? (You do gorgeous work!) Thank you. 🎨
Hi, I'm sorry but I can't answer this as it's not my set up. Did you watch part 2 of this? There is more information in there about how to get started.
Thanks for your question. Please watch part 2 of this series where Phillippa talks about how she got started. ruclips.net/video/cvoqsXyF3qE/видео.htmlsi=9RqWwItzmGJH-hdW

Hi Sofie, thank you so much. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this video and others.
My toxic trait is thinking I could do this without burning my house down. She is so talented.
Yes, she really is so talented.
Loved the video💜

Any suggestions of machinery that could make glass beads at a higher rate? So hard to find anything online for glass beads.
Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for you. Lampwork beads are made by hand. There are lots of other ways to make beads including pressed glass.
Good video
Thank you.
How does the stick that you make the bead on not get super hot?
Great question. I assume that it's something to do with the metal it's made from.
Please PLEASE tell me how i can start this at home
