Ukraine has been attacking that area, killing civilians, since 2014 and they requested to be annexed by Russia in 2014 (which Russia denied). It wasn't until Russia's war with Ukraine that Russia finally annexed the area after they voted to be annexed. He didn't give away any secrets that we know of, so I don't see how he is a traitor. He should be in jail for his other crimes, but if you are going to accuse a veteran of being a traitor, bring your receipts. Simply joining another country's military after being discharged from your home country's military doesn't make you a traitor. In fact, we have lots of people who did that and joined Ukraine, are you saying they are traitors too?
