Imagine how digital ID, digital wallets and these power hungry politicians start getting more of what they want and everyone has creeping acceptance and doesn't know what they've lost or had or how people were.
Manchester Metrolink is owned by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), a public body responsible for transport in the Greater Manchester region. TfGM manages the Metrolink as part of the region's integrated transport network, the Bee Network.

I actually wrote to Metrolink over this issue, after reading their photography policy on their website and I received a very nice reply stating that 'commercial' photography requires a permit but normal non commercial photography was fine, ie; taking pictures of trams for my own collection...this is the same as Transport for London only there policy states the difference between the two but Metrolinks doesn't . The only conditions they stipulated were that I should have a ticket to be on the platform and I should expect to be asked by security staff should the need arise. Its bullsh£t, network rail who own 95% of uk train station, say on their website they happily allow photographers, and film recorders on their station concourses, and platforms. They ask when you arrive inform someone your there. Don't film security cameras, and dont stick your cameras in the staff or publics faces, and be respectful.

It's a public platform. It's owned by the public and leased to the operators. Seems like they are making too much money. All the staff doing nothing is costing a fortune. And published c have contributed towards all of this in the first place.
