This is more like it. A patient approach for the complete novice (aged 50 something) with simple and thankfully repetitive, clear instructions from a throughly amenable chap. Many thanks and keep up the excellent work.
Rip: Sir Sean Connery ~ o7 007 Bond James Bond 007. Thankyou for doing this as I'm in my ealry 60s so grew up with James Bond ~ I've started to learn this now, thanks so much :) o7 007
First day practicing guitar i did some spider exercise which is really challenging for me and g-e chord change exercise then thought i will practice a simple song and this video really helped alot thank you so much will subscribe now 😊
This is so cool! I haven't seen many Bond movies because I don't like spy movies that much but the theme is classic! Once I can become more proficient at guitar I'll definitely be trying this out.
@@liamdowling14 tbh I've been learning it all my life since Dr No but recently I started singing it for some unknown reason but it does sound much better on guitar , well so far at least.
I remember in the eighties I had a phone that could play this, and all these Grammar kids surrounded me. It could play other stuff too. Anyway thanks for the tabs, but the last chord takes me a few good seconds to get my fingers there. Very cool surf rock, playing on a magic stomp surfer factory preset.
I would recommend for the first section to hammer on to the first and third fretts the first time u play them, it sounds much cooler for such a simple addition
really cool. learned the notes only stopped 6 times. I am classical guitarist but I am using my electric to do some cool theme songs. thank for the lesson
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my request. What made me buy a guitar and start learning was the song Youll think of me by Keith Urban i am dieing to learn how to play it . . The video is really helpful but again he just explain what you should do with your left hand witch I learn already. I know what my left hand should do I just don't have the ability to make out what my right hand should do .I love your lessons they helped me a lot with my learning process. If you ever have the time to look at the picking pattern only for the live version intros and explain it like for a dummies (like 6 4 3 2 ........and so on)would be amazing. I'll keep monitoring in the future. Thank you so much
You, my friend have helped me soooo much because my friend got a guitar and he's bragging that he can play the four bar blues (correct me if I'm wrong) and now I can play this!! Woah he's gonna get burned
Thanks Andy I Have Really Enjoyed Your Lessons Of The Best Film Theme In History Your Tutorials Have Also Kept My Mind Off The Death Of My Dear & Beloved Mum Rhona Who Sadly Passed Last March in 2021 Her Favourite Film Theme Too & Her Favourite James Bond Was Of Course Sir Sean Connery As Far As My Mum Was Concerned He Was The Best As James Bond 007 Thanks Again Andy Kind Regards Andrew-Hamilton Baird, Stewarton, East Ayrshire Bonnie Scotland
Well done Andy you helped me get over this I didn't want to learn it but only looking for something to annoy the neighbours across the road when I turn the amps up 😆
Hi, Andy Great Lesson not something I would have considered playing at a gig, but recently learned the Morricone Good Bad Ugly theme so might introduce a Film section at my next gig lol...However my question is at the end of the tune where there is always "Big Drama" whether it be the opening sequence of the movie or in the actual movie...it seems the single notes are rather weak.....could these final notes be substituted by some kind of power cords and if so what would they be...hope I have articulated this understandably you know what I mean the .......da da....da da da....da da da da da da at the end cheers
is it possible to play this on an acoustic as well? or only for electric ,by following your steps in the video? btw great videos keep up the great work!
I came to comment on the same thing...but... instead of Eb D, I've been playing D Db. I think both work ... I wonder if both are used in different versions. Maybe D, Db in the first time through and Eb, D the second time through? (I'm playing this part up at the twelfth fret.)
I find that instead of open G then 4th fret D during the main theme. 5th fret D then slide down to 4th fret D is the same & a little easier. A fast slide sounds good too. Almost like a hammer on with the F#
Thank you however there is a mistake in the main theme the highest E note (played on the E1 string) should be an Eb (E flat played 4th frat on the B string) !!!!!!!!!!!
Sweat band. Legit purpose: for shredders playing long live sets to prevent sweat dripping down to your hand and your pick. He's just using it here because they look cool.
Hi looks a great lesson came here out of curiosity and skidded through unless I’ve missed it I didn’t see the final chord the E minor/major 7th 9 And if I missed it? I do apologise. It’s just that it’s the definitive finish to this theme.
Great lesson! What a shame, that the link he posts (to get the TAB file for this tune) leads to a site where you have to PAY in order to download the file!
+Andy Guitar Unfortunately Copy and Paste doesn't work - the site comes up with a warning. Print screen does work but you need to re-size the tabs to avoid the buttons obscuring the important bits of the tabs.

In MY opinion THE one and only 007. I watched him as a kid in the '60s and thought he was the coolest guy on the planet. I was a huge fan. RiP. Sean
RIP 007 I guess
It must be a challenge to remain so patient, but it is very kind indeed. Thank you Andy.
I’m new to guitar and I can say in all honesty that this is the BEST guitar channel on RUclips!!!
This is for my grandad because he's getting poorly with his hearing he can still hear stuff but not as good.
He LOVES James bond
Taking me back to my N64 Goldeneye days!
Old but gold
Thanks Andy finally I'm able to play something reconizable :-)
Andy the greatest guitar teacher of all time ❤
I'm still having fun learning these riffs
This is a goood teacher that NOT show of and also got TIME to tell us how it is!
Excellent lesson, I'm subscribing. It's nice as a beginner to be able to play something fun versus just scales.
Exactly, its brilliant

@@liamdowling14 no but I'm about halfway at the moment mate not tuned up yet though 😆
@@liamdowling14 tbh I've been learning it all my life since Dr No but recently I started singing it for some unknown reason but it does sound much better on guitar , well so far at least.
i played the first couple notes of it by accident when i was just messing around and then i thought hey. thats a good idea... and now here i am :)
Thank you so much. This is the fist song I get learned complete in my guitar 🙌
THE coolest riff ever.
I remember in the eighties I had a phone that could play this, and all these Grammar kids surrounded me. It could play other stuff too.

Easy and fun riffs. I like to play it with a crunch tone. What a epic!
Hey Andy Guitar i started electronic guitar thank you soo much for teaching the james bond theme because i love its movies :D
@DGamer yeah electric ahahahhahaa

By watching, I gained the confidence that I can play this too.

Haha it rocks doesn't it! Really sounds like the real song and even beginners can do it :)

+PlainSailingWeather It was a gift- I don't know where to get them but they're awesome!
Andy Crowley
They really are, I'd love to rep Yorkshire.
Also born and bred here!
Guys I found somthing really cool in the chprus instead of just using the top string use the top 2 it packs a huge punch
Great! Thank you.
Well well It's very nice ..👍👍👍👍👍
Sick brother
Andy great tutorial mate, what are the tone settings...guitar, amp ?

Yes I'm playing along on acoustic :)
love it
Classic ✌🏼️
Thanks you !!! I love it !!! 😉
What happened to the lovely end chord
That's so cool !!
Is it just me? I can`t find a link to the tab anywhere let alone in the description.
You have to go to his webpage and search for James Bond
@@brazox Many thanks
is it possible to play this on an acoustic as well? or only for electric ,by following your steps in the video? btw great videos keep up the great work!
+kyogre325 Of course it's possible, you just get a different sound out of it, but it's still the awesome James Bond theme on both types of guitars ;)
On acoustic guitar 3rd string sounds better rather than 1st one
The high note in the second half should be an Eb (string 2/fret 4).
Yep at 11:48 it should be Eb instead of open E
I came to comment on the same thing...but... instead of Eb D, I've been playing D Db. I think both work ... I wonder if both are used in different versions. Maybe D, Db in the first time through and Eb, D the second time through? (I'm playing this part up at the twelfth fret.)

"i will be there for you"(Friends theme) please upload a tutorial for this andy.. please please!!!

Can you please show us the numbers written on a page and display it while you are playing....
Andy, I am very new to your guitar videos, do you have any videos for intermediate people?
You are the best what guitar is that
Thank you however there is a mistake in the main theme the highest E note (played on the E1 string) should be an Eb (E flat played 4th frat on the B string) !!!!!!!!!!!
Andy, in part 4 on the TAB, last note indicates a 3 on 5th string. Should it not be a 4?
I found the same problem plus it is missing the linking tabs
Which pickup(s) are you using and what settings (FX, Bass, Mid, Treb) on your amp are you using?
Any tabs pls?
007 theme is something else…
Sorry dude, where's the tab sheet to be found ?
007 good👍👍👍
That is a nice Video :-)
What's the purpose of that black wrist thing?
To generate dumbass questions
Joe Clark not really a dumbass comment though is it?
Sweat band. Legit purpose: for shredders playing long live sets to prevent sweat dripping down to your hand and your pick. He's just using it here because they look cool.
It's hard do you have an easier way
Humming?

This is the easiest way...
