    I’m in the Mile High Jeep Club and I don’t think most people watching this understand what people like you and people that are in the club with myself what we do in our personal time to keep these trails open we don’t just get out there and shovel we fences we try to cover up places where people went off of trail. We put our personal time and effort into these things, appreciate you guys getting out doing what needs to be done I hope more people appreciate what we are all doing.

      This is a great point, thanks for reminding everyone how much happens by dedicated people to keep our trails open. It's hard to quantify the hours it takes to build relationships with land managers, the planning, the meetings and then the implementation of projects to address issues or open trails for the season. I will continue to make that a focal point in our videos. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for all y’all’s hard work. As a 64 yr old Texan that’s vacationed in the backcountry of Colorado almost every year since 1985 I appreciate it. Multiple vehicles since the 1st time. Currently 2013 jkur w 232k miles and still going strong. I have always been cautious because I don’t want to be the guy that creates an environmental issue because my vehicle went off into the lake. Enjoy the scenery but drive within your abilities. Leave nothing but tracks in the road.

    Thank you all for all the hard work to maintain, open these trails for everyone to enjoy. Videos like yours bring so much awareness to the painstaking effort to keep these areas beautiful. I'm a native of Colorado, and have 4 wheeled some of these trails in the late 90's early 00's. I currently work in MN and miss getting into the mountains. Thank you for the video.

    I know exactly what you mean about people seeing tracks and thinking they can do it too, in 83 we had massive flooding in Utah, long story short a gravel pit here in town filled clear full of mud, once it dried up a bit, I skated my old Willys across the top. The next day, that thing was clear full of full sized pickup trucks, all buried beyond hope

    we have had a local road with LOW clearance 11.5' here in a 180k person city for 50+ years and even with signs starting WELL before it and on a slow 30MPH limit road and big flashing lights 3 times PRIOR to going under the overpass every year people get box trucks, garbage trucks UPS trucks, RVs stuck under it...point being sadly I am not surprised when I see things like this in your video of people not pay close enough attention. . on an unrelated note thanks to one of your recent videos for the notice ordered a few days ago ---> (2024) - OHV Permi tValid Jul 02 2024 THRU Mar 31 2025

    Is it time to ask for donations for road closure gates? It may be. 🥸

    • @keeptrailsopen
      @keeptrailsopen  4 месяца назад

      No more gates. It seems when a gate shows up, the excuses start to pile up as to why it should stay closed, unfortunatly. People just need to make better decisions.
