  • Butler County’s land bank is balking at the latest plan to demolish Forest Fair Mall so an industrial park and retail complex can replace it. That’s because a key tenet of the plan is to use Butler County’s demolition grant to tear down buildings in Hamilton County.

I went to the arcade at this mall almost every week shortly before it was closed. It was such a cool, almost eerie and surreal location. Almost like a living time capsule of the era it was built in. Personally, I think it's shame to see it's going to be torn down instead of revitalized.

They’re inside… lucky. Forest Fair is my dream bucket list mall, but it’s closed now and I’ll probably never make it out to even see the outside… 😢

Really? You can't even keep the Golden Corral open.

That parking garage wasn't built in 2004, try the late 80s

What a joke and waste of space. Who ever had owned that and currently does should be ashamed of themselves.

I grew up in Fairfield in the 60's/70's. I watched this mall being built. Boondoggle from the get go. Look, cross the right palms with some consideration and your golden. Small town politics at play. It has been that way in that area forever.
