Hey girl, I went to my nursing orientation today and let’s just say I cried in the car. I was left out, I tried to talk and got shut down by the girl beside me and due to Covid, it was miserable because two seats apart from each other and feeling absolutely secluded. I asked a question and the whole class turned and looked at me as if I was some creature. They all started talking to each other and breaking the ice but ignored me. They don’t know me, I’ve never met them before and I can already tell making friends is going to be really hard. I’m really shy but I’m friendly and always good to others no matter what. I hope things get better but I’ve been watching you to lift my spirits!

ugh, it sucks feeling excluded! i hope it does get better with you and your cohort. if not, it’s all good because honestly you’re not going to nursing school to make friends, you’re going to get that degree! PERIOD! keep being you, love❤️i wish you the best

Hi!! What is the total year it takes to get ADN including prerequisites year(s)?? Does the prerequisite included in the 2 years??

hey! it depends on the school, for me...it took me 3 years to take all of my pre-reqs (re-took a few over to make better grades) and then my nursing program that i am in is 2 years. so it depends on how well you do on your pre-reqs as well as what school you go to and how long the program is😇some schools allow you to take core/pre-reqs while ALONG with nursing classes. hope that answered your question! it really just depends on the school

lol it’s okay!! for my program, we had to take the TEAS as a part of the application process before we were accepted into the program. i believe some schools also allow their students to take it after they’ve been accepted so you’ll just have to check with the school(s) you’re applying to.
