I got one imported to the US from Germany for cheaper than Arai and Shoei's. It's not DOT certified but that's ok by me since it meets all the other worldwide testing. I was told it's just never been submitted for testing with the DOT.
The difference id say with an F1 helmet is they need to stop whiplash the most due to not being able to exit the car. Where as Moto GP the ride rolls and slides etc but F1 is so advanced its insane
Lorenzo should not have gone to HJC. I have his X-Lite replica and hands down it's the best helmet I've ever worn. I knew it was in a league of it's own when I lifted it out of the box.

Lorenzo should not have gone to HJC. I have his X-Lite replica and hands down it's the best helmet I've ever worn. I knew it was in a league of it's own when I lifted it out of the box.

I have x802r ultra carbon, very light helmet and it feels like you did not wear any helmet. Not to mention the expose of carbon works is very great!
