To be fair, it’s pretty easy to quit Tsukasa’s side when all he promises you is no adults, punching wild animals, fighting for your life every day, and force of willing it if you get sick.

It is pretty ironic that Tsukasa wants to build his own "society / utopia" based on pure instincts and survival without even thinking of progress. At the same time he uses the knowledge of modern times (at his level), same applies to all of his servants to survive and conquer.
I think through their petrifaction they’re super humans who don’t get sick anymore.

That is why Roman was so massive they were able to adapt to other cultures assimilate to their own bringing more reasons for other warring tribes to side with the Roman's. You don't need military strength to conquer sometimes cultural, scientific advancement, and economical appeal to other tribes. Play civilation the game you will find out military dominance isn't the only way to win.

This was a pretty great moment. I love that Senku drops the act. I love how Lillian, who had a hard childhood, was able to help others who had a rough time. Great moment.

Gen was pretty fickle to begin with so I had low hopes for the others but I never thought that it was a sign that Gen might not be the only one who would defect if it means getting to have something as simple like a bottle of coke. Nikki has chosen to defect if it means keeping that last record of Lilian's music. I now realize there IS a chance the others might defect if it means having at least once a simple something from the old world.
I love how his first ally from the Tsukasa Empire isn't won over by tricking them, but by giving them actual hope for something from the old world to be kept intact

Senku is so awesome of a character. He is like one of the few smart character that seems just like an amazingly good guy and who actually cares a lot about people. Like we have too many smart main characters who are also a dicks. Senku is just different

@@zhi1680 I know it's two years later but I just want to say that Senku is still an underdog in his story despite being the smartest. His only great capability is his brain and charisma. Senku relies on others a lot and can't do much on his own except basics. The ones he's always up against are strong and tricky. He can't brute force his way through. He has to outsmart, out think his enemies and he relies on others to do the things he can't. He's constantly on the back foot.
But the thing with Senku is that no matter how much he's on the back foot, he always takes that step forward and helps others to do the same.
Gen's expression gets me every single time in this scene. It makes me want to cry because you realize that it wasn't just science was lost, but people too.
You know, that singer is technically Senku's adopted step-mother.

Well, after 3700 years, everyone in the village is related to Lillian (by blood) as well.
There were only 3 couples to start with after all.
we DON'T know really if Lilian and byakuya had been together! It's real that they was pretty close but we still don't knowed it's just " assumed"! We know others couples between astronautes more certainly like shamil and connie! so NO she is not "technically Senku's adopted step-mother" just "supposed Senku's adopted step-mother"!

Deep down it makes me happy Nikki got a chance to see her idol before everyone got turned to stone. Makes you really appreciate the memories you create because you never know what's gonna happen in life to you or the people you cherish. I started crying during the concert scene

Its not talked about but I feel like if there was anything that all the modern humans in show have in common its the loss of their families and all the things they held dear in their past lives. So even a man who was willing to lie his way into hell would at least know how it feels to mourn someone who no longer exists in the stone world, and I feel like its incredible that they managed to tell the viewer that in a single shot of Gen's regretful face after hearing the heartbroken question of Nikki realizing the person she admired so much is no longer with them.
Gen is just act, he's actually a really nice an thoughtful person. Let's not forget he calculated Senku's birthday and made a surprise gift for him

Anime watchers, trust me, Nikki will have great character development and also be one of the most important characters in the future seasons

Its implied that they told everyone, since keeping it a secret makes no sense. Nikki didnt really react to it. She admired Lilian's talent and personality, not her geneaology.

Youd expect them to just write some simple reason why someone would switch sides but you could feel like this moment rocked this side character to their core

F**ing love that you cant just attribute everyone in the tsukasa army to be mindless punks. Like they were all educated students (assuming theyre mostly high schoolers/younger or young adults) from the 21st century and had lives theyll never get back and things they were passionate about that science could at least give them back in some way shape or form
Any scene involving Lilian always makes me cry, because I sympathize with Nikki, I wouldn’t know what to do when music is gone. It may just be my hobby but it’s the thing that keeps me sane in this crazy world
When Nikki ask Senku if he can bring the the other songs back and he says no; an idea surge in my mind. With Gen training his voice a little more and Nikki being a big fan, she probably know all the lyrics of Lillian songs, and together they can recreate the songs.
This episode reminded me how smart senku really is

From the opening I assumed she was a fan of the song. I would still like to know what Senkus original plan was. This moment should have shown him that lying to the others isn't really the best way to promote his side. He just has to show them what they are missing. Oh and I also hope there is a moment where he tellls Nikki what happened to Lillian. That she wanted science to still exist. Why he didn't tell her that, I don't know.
There's no reason to say more when someone is already convinced. Like she said though, when it comes to science he's honest, so if she were to ask him about it he'd answer her anyways.

I mean, there was a point, when she asked him if he could bring back more songs. He said no and used the ability to save the song in his argument. I just feel that would have also been a great moment to tell her why this song even exists at all. Because Lillian wanted something to preserve it for humankind and with it the existence of science. Yes, it wasn't necessary in the end, but it would have made the argument even stronger in my opinion.

I enjoyed this episode so much. I didn’t expect nikki’s character to be soft or a fan girl due to her exterior. The part where she was questioning gen and senku (as Lilian) was very funny. I can’t wait for a taiju, yuzuria and senku reunion.

It's interesting why people betray Tsukasa, it's never for huge amount of comfort or power but for one little thing, Gen wanted to taste his favourite drink once more, hearing a song from her favourite artist obviously meant the world to Nikki, Ukyo just wanted everyone to stay alive, in a way even Tsukasa, his crusade got erased instantly when faced with the hope of seeing his sister in good health again
Music is a very powerful weapon. No matter how we are feeling theirs some type of genre of music you listen to in order to feel happy, to dance to, or have a good cry. Gotta Love Music! 🧡🎶

As great as an anime Dr.Stone is, I really appreciate the fact of how it makes me look around and really start to appreciate what we have around us today.

What saddens me watching this clip is the idea that we would lose so much culture after over 3,000 years. Any digital media unless properly stored is gone, the music that once was is gone, the stories of classic literature, the medium of film and video games. I don't think my heart could handle the loss of over 10,000 years of human culture. The idea of preserving anything from that time would drive me too. But at the same time being on the forefront of developing culture and making new art and new stories to tell would fill me with joy.
The only thing that will remain from the 21st century within 3000 years will be the concrete we have used. Pretty much everything else will be gone

It didn’t take long for Nikki to become one of my favorites.

0:23 that pose looks extremely uncomfortable in high heels seriously it looks painful, that aside that song really suits the world of Dr. stone it's inspirational and that's precisely what that world needs to work towards restoration.
Lilian has descendants in Senku's tribe. I am hoping one of them inherits her singing talent.
This entire episode was so amazing. I was in AWE for almost 20 mins straight. Nikki really hit home tbh. I'm the exact same person. Music really does wonders. Loved this episode, 10/10.
Also the art?😭😭😭 can't help but admire the time they spent on this. It's beautiful.

That’s basically the weakness of the Tsukasa Army. They’ll obey and fight for him as long as they’re in the Stone World with zero technology. But when Senku reinvents a component which resonates with a person from Tsukasa’s side, they’ll gladly leave him for the Kingdom of Science. First it’s Gen with cola and now Nikki with music. Who knows how he’ll convince everyone else?

Senku's dad really hitted the jackpot, and better yet, without facing a single reporter by hooking up with the equivalent of Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.

This was such a heartwarming scene, really enjoyed watching it. I also love how quickly they developed a character whose brief introduction was to punch Taiju.

Sure you may convince yourselves you don’t need phones to live, and you’re right on that. But technology is part of this generation and it’s everywhere: toiletries, medicines, food, entertainment...
Anyone who are used to the comfort and convenience that technology brings will NOT able to live like that in Stone Age.
Senku’ sass should have been kissed 10 times and over by everyone at this point and Tsukasa would be grounded to dust tbh.

I love the fact that not only are we getting science facts and funny moments but a good story that gives you just heart warming scenes great anime
Dr. Stone, making you feel unexpectedly
Well thank goodness that plan failed, but the record did what the plan could not. Best part is that Senku kept it real with Nikki. If I'm gonna be honest, if that fake Lillian plan worked on even a super fan like Nikki then I probably would like this anime less so again, thank goodness Gen's plan didn't work.
Gen defected if it meant having a bottle of cola while Nikki here has chosen to leave if it meant keeping the last record of Lilian's legacy. I didn't think much of it since Gen was pretty washy to begin with so I had low hopes when he defected for a bottle of coke but Nikki defecting nailed a realization into my head.
