A couple thousand years dead but Byakuya still manages to be a better father to his son then 99% of anime dads.
He was blessed with a son like Senki, so of course he's like that like a father. Such a good father and son combo that is really hard to create.
And they not even related...
@@Rosecco_Real Doesn't matter, their both still blessed!
The other anime dads busy being cool
And he will be an even better father to senku later on, once more knowledge about him will be revieled. It will be even more amazing and heart breaking.
Okay, maybe not more amazing, but more heart breaking, definitely.
Rest in peace to the voice actor of Senku’s Dad , he voice acted characters like Leorio ❤️
rip Keji
Wait, Leorio from Hunter x Hunter passed? :'(
@@Minecraftexploring yeah the voice actor of leorio did pass away, In April 2020 and what’s sad is that I started watching hxh the day he died and only realised 4 days later ...
It is true that we lost Leorio’s VA but tbh Hunter wasn’t going to continue anytime soon and when it does, we’ll be seeing a completely different cast. Still, rip Keji ❤️
Probably why they killed off Ishigami
@@bacondragon6925 yeah
Anyone wondering, the voice actor for the singer was Laura Pitt-Pilford. I wanted to get her name out there because she needs to be credited too.

Still surprises me that senku and him aren’t related.
Ik right they look so alike & personality wise it’s hard not to believe they aren’t related
Same
They aren't related ?! , It's been long since I watched this maybe that's why I don't remember
Your personality and sense of humor don’t make you related to a certain person you can become that kind of person from anyone including friends or adopted fathers
I adore this kind of representativeness where it is a small thing, made daily, not a massive caracter trait, but it’s there, is amazing!
Am I the only one that gets chills when she on the stage scene

@@TheRealWoopSlap Pure and utter Epicness! Something to remember if something similar like that occurs in our lifetime (which from what Ive been looking into may).
Definitely not. As well as the scene where shes singing directly to Ruri both give me incredible chills
Prove me wrong, but this
this is an anime whose plot is different from most popular titles and is very
innovative.
I love the anime for being unique, however if you really want me to I could probably attempt it. Give me a response and I’ll go for it
honestly this is easily top 1 anime of the year when they made it sitting right besides mob psycho 100 II and vinland saga
@Yevgeny Allen Kristoffe Alverio honestly if you put senku in the stone age he pretty much does have magic
It's a shonen but the power system is science.
@@BSEUNHIR hard to lose when people attack you with sticks and you have guns
Seeing everyone’s shocked expressions was just so satisfying, I can’t imagine how something we in the present take for granted would be so incredible and utterly mind blowing to people who essentially see spears as the pinnacle of innovation. Science is both the most logical and also the most emotional thing out there
It really gave me the chills, imagine that song being the first song you ever hear
Also, they have no idea what she is singing. It is in English, they only know Japanese.
But the singing is so beautiful that they are still moved by it.
What I find surprising is, that they didn't redeveloped music by their respective time. Drums and flutes were invented pretty early.
I feel that, Watching Dr stone made me realize how amazing the scientific achievements of the last 2 million years are
@@aliannaclarissalopezandrad1863 and consider a lot of that progress is essentially being speedrunned by a guy who already knows it, so all those mind blowing little steps humanity took are now being experience within a couple of months by a stone age society.
Imagine if in our world, during the stone age, there was one guy who just had amazing intelligence and creativity and came up with all these ideas, going from stone age-modern society within 1 generation.
Now that's a song that's strong enough to reach across centuries and makes you want to rebuild human civilization.
Exactly, it refreshes your hope
Agreed. As long as we work together with other, we can still have hope for a better future.
It's right up there with Baba Yetu from Civ IV
Full version is also exhilarating😎

I think Dr. Stone is one of the Anime where the protagonist is carrying the show, because it would not work with any other character being the mc than Senku.
True
Well i dont want to spoli it, but there is a master for senku.
@@AdityaKumar-hg6wm I know Xeno, but I mean it in general. Dr. Stone would be less interesting if Senku wasn't there, because it just would not work with any other character except him.
i dont think that means he is carrying it though. the side characters are great aswell imo
@@kowen112 I didn't say that they were bad, but the main theme of the Anime would not work with any other character than Senku.

@@mrd456 don’t forget quintessential quintuplets
Funnily enough, the final battle is shorter than you'd think 😂 (But 10 Billion percent Exhilarating)
The fact the Byakuya left the message specifically for Senku showed you how much he trusted his son and Senku's abilities that after thousands of years its his son who will figure things out and find a way to hear his message.
She brought music back to life
Forreal sometimes that’s all it takes Music=emotions
Music will never die. Maybe we will be separated one day, but music is immortal
Senku's expression is sort of a "Message received, loud and clear" like he's definitely holding back some tears and saying leave it to him
This show is such a great love letter to humans and our progress. The fact that I am able to hear the words and singing of someone long dead, to hear their message, is one of the many things this show gives you an appreciation for.
And it never stops. Right now we can even bring photos back to life with deep fake tech, and recover and color old videos with AI. There's so much more awaiting for us in the future.
It was at this moment in the series that we discovered how much they had lost and how far we have come.
So true. When I first saw this scene animated, I cried so bad. I can't even imagine losing all that we have today, and yet this song made me feel like I was right there with Senku and the others.
All these touching moments in Dr. Stone...
_While I laugh at the 6 mile gap between Kohaku's eyes_

Lol
Bruh you didn’t have to it to her like that
@@Meteorsnipers lol
Finally someone else said it
They preserved that song for 3700 years without ever damaging it even a little holy damn
They had four literal rocket scientists help preserve it
What's truly amazing is that Byakuya wanted Lillian to sing for senku in space, and he was still able to get her to do so through this record.
In a way, she’s making a song for who’s basically her step son all things considered.
Did anyone else cry during this? Just knowing that the difference in time was 3,700 years...wow
I was melting in tears...he died knowing that his Senku was gonna listen that disc.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I really felt for senku and gen in this moment because they spent almost a year without music, something we hear everyday nowadays. Not even a musical instrument. Just the sound of nature, conversation, and struggle. And then suddenly it comes back in the most unexpected moment. And I think Senku's face at the end sums up that moment perfectly, realizing you were missing something until it was right in front of you~ Man this show is awesome
Not to mention he likely realized Byakuya specifically made this for *him* to share
Imagine the awe of the villagers hearing the voices of their ancestors.

@@BlackcatPlayerB yeap, from cancer. also last year the director of the first season passed away too. she was only 50 years old
When I first heard this song in the anime I literally started crying, this song is so beautiful!
Imagine being these primitive people who have never listened to this level of singing before
Man, doesn't matter how many times I listen to this, it always brings tears to my eyes. On top of the beautiful song, this was one of the last works of Keiji Fujiwara, Senku's dad voice actor. ❤️
am i the only one with tears in my eyes like they LOST EVERYTHING and still smile
Amazing plot (rip Keji)
People are wondering how come the villagers understood this song if it’s in English when we listen to anime osts in japanese but understand almost none of it. Music exists to transcend language barriers. The tuning and the method of the music played is often the one people remember first rather than the lyrics.
Its the montage of all Senku's been through plus the music that always gets me...So perfectly times, kudos to the director and animators.
Rewatching this, I just realized how applicable this song and the context of it is to the current pandemic.

I would say Gen has his allegiance to Senku once he saw the date carved on the tree near the cave. The cola is only the last straw to confirm it.

I always liked Byakuya as a father figure, but man after the treasure island ark and finding out that he spent the remaining years of his life gathering metals for Senku just hit a soft spot for me 😥
I sometimes wish he could see everything and be proud of Senku …
It was so sad to see him constantly going out to get pieces of precious metals all those years knowing he wouldn't see Senku again. Believing the entire time that Senku would eventually break out, find the jar, and save humanity.
i literally start sniffing and tears came into my eyes.. in this scene you can feel the brutal power of human curiosity and knowledge...
Can we just take a moment to talk about how EXTRA Senku is? Record players exist and are relatively simple to make that use mechanical devices to amplify the sound from the needle, but he is so over the top that he built the electric version. He was building the radio anyway, but still.

Dear god it’s almost as beautiful as Danny devito
Is that even possible...
@@yourcrustytoenail2064 there have been very few instances of it such as bidoof
It's astounding how confident and strong Senku has been this whole season. Trapped in a state of living death for more than one thousand years, reforging and rebuilding civilization from the ground up, surviving a deadly attempt on his life, building up and bettering the lives of the village and never demanding repayment outside of a little praise here and there, he really seems like an invincible hero. The only thing that compares is when he finally shows vulnerability when they find a literal record of the past and they hear his father's final well wishes. This anime truly is something special.
