Up sand dunes we climbed, with lifted hearts.
Zig-zagging canoes on waters bright,
Cherry picking, wine tasting, pure delight.
In Toastmaster meetings, so bold and grand,
We counted “ah’s” with a careful hand.
Ding-Dong timing, our nerves a flight,
How we stumbled, but learned with might.
With our Taiwanese choir, we sang with glee,
Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass-everyone singing in harmony.
Directed by a maestro’s gentle hand,
You led us in music, just as you did in life’s grand plan.
Backpacking in Yosemite’s high terrain,
Where magical views ease the strain.
On Appalachian trails, we’d tread,
Listening to nature’s songs at night in our beds.
Through wetlands we drove, binoculars in hand,
Seeking sand cranes and birds in the land.
No sight would escape our eager eyes,
We cherished each moment under the skies.
