This was my very first attempt to try and do a full repair on a breakdown and film it, and I think it came out quite well!
I got called to a Remeha Avanta that I have maintained since 2019 and the boiler wouldn’t get out of Error E4 after the customer had tried a good few times.
So I attended with the initial idea that I may need to replace the ignition transformer along with the electrodes.
I carried out all my checks and it turned out to be an electrical fault at the property and not with the boiler!

Your the best. I have this heater, i think more then 13 years, the first model. Went cold when i was under shower. I opend it up. Did clean the water cifon, all brown truff out and filed it up, and did put it back. Then i removed the spark plug. Did clean it, had some corosion. After that reset and now it works again. No more E4. In a month i will let somebody put a revision set in with new plug etc. Thanks, with your E4 movie here, you helpt me. To bad you are a little bit to far a away. I would hire you with no worries. Thanks!

Yes if urs is 13years old, some parts of the ignition system may need updating!

Could you explain how you checked your gas block. I’ve got one that is making a noise on high load.
I’ve done a full service and still readings are way out. Flame looks messy as well on full load.
Hm thank you for filming this, I got this E 4 issue, and the reset button does not work, unfortunately, Do I have to hold it for a long time or? I have gas but we don't have hot water
Hi! You should just need to hold it for a couple seconds and the boiler should start back up... if it goes back to E4, there's definitely an issue that needs addressing

Can you explain why no earth would cause this? Does the pcb on this particular boiler pick up no earth?
Hi mate! Almost all boilers need to be earthed. The boiler used the Earth to rectify and recognise a flame is present

can anyone tell me how to fix error code 3 ( ignition ) on remeha tzerra
Which boilers brands/models are the same as the UK boilers in Amsterdam? I know Remeha are available here and are part of Broag BDR Thermea baxi group. I've worked an a few. Only ever installed one though.
Hey bro! They are almost the same... vaillants are the same, Nefit here is WB in uk, and many more. All the same principles... once u know a boiler, u know them all!
I have one of these, installed it 10 years ago. i do get a little let-by on the gas control valve during tightness testing. Have you come across this.?. otherwise a very good boiler.
Common fault new gas valve.
Hey Mate! Yeah unfortunately that's the only real downside to these great boiler is the gas valve seems to be letting by... however I have tested with LDF on the outlet of the gas valve and it never bubbles... so I can see how it lets by... but it does. Must be the cork gaskets that are in the assembly.

Hey man, I’m trying to find out what’s wrong with my Remeha. It keeps giving me E4 and E5 errors. They occur when I demand too much hot water (heating / shower). Don’t want to pay 3/400 euros for a simple fix. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction.
Hi mate, the e4/e5 error on a Remeha is all related to the gas and ignition side of the boiler. I would advise contacting a local engineer to test and check where the problem lies and have them rectify the issue... unfortunately there's not much more you can do other than reset if your not an engineer
