and from Atlanta... Amerijet-if you live south of Airport Caribbean International Shipping Service Inc located in Lithonia Compass Shipping located in NYC And I was told to flatten rolls of toliet paper and pack it in the free space so it provides padding and extra TP when you get to your location.
Thanks, definitely up for doing a US version! I wondered about the toilet paper lol.If it were me I'd use clothes as padding - paying to ship toilet paper is pricey!
Interested in another video about shipping from the US to the Caribbean/Grenada. I’m not sure where to start. He mentioned only using companies that are “recommended to you” - but what if you’re starting the search from scratch?
Definitely up for doing a US focused video. I have an interview with a broker based in the Caribbean coming next week so make sure to turn on notifications as it's pretty informative
Using a shipping company from the UK is one thing, and I do believe that there are reputable ones to choose from. However the problem is when the barrel/ container gets to the destination: the agents used by the shipping company in the case of jamaica are on occasion unprofessional and have very poor customer service. Been rude and aggressive should have no place in " customer service". They make an already stressful situation 10 times worse. About a year ago, a friend of mine used the door to door service upon arrival customs/ agents at the destination???? helped themselves, and half the items were missing. It is an open secret that this is a regular occurrence. Complaining makes little or no difference when those at the top behave in the same way. The whole process at the destination end needs a complete cultural shift.
Yes, I definitely have heard horror stories about shipping to the Caribbean. I have a couple of interviews with a broker here in Grenada you may find useful coming soon...
