The percentages are nearly 50/50 because people are replaying the game to get all the endings, if you played it when it released it would of been heavily one sided.
Def, Carley and Doug used to be at least 76% in favor of Carley. Wish the game only recorded first time playthrough scoring, seeing those score now doesn't mean much imo.

From what I recall, a bunch of people decided to play just to save Doug to make the percentage higher, and with replays people choose the other option, so yeah. Doug is a good person, and he is useful to the group, but Carley always seemed like the better choice.

People are definitely free to dislike or like Kenny. But personally, I can’t let go of the fact that Larry punched Lee square in the face and straight up said “you’re not coming with us!” and if it had not been for Kenny, Lee would have been eaten and Clementine wouldn’t have had her guardian. Might sound cold hearted but…Larry seeiously sucks.

Like just an hour or two ago they were talking about killing Larry the moment they had a chance, then when they actually do have the chance they act like they love the guy. And it’s interesting considering that Larry was eager to kill Duck, assuming incorrectly that he was bitten. So I can definitely understand where Kenny was coming from. Kenny isn’t an angel and he can be A LOT, but again…I find it so interesting that so many people seem to forget that incident in the pharmacy. If it hadn’t been for Kenny (love him or hate him), Lee would be done.
Some fun extra info: If you side with Kenny in the meat locker, he helps you take down Danny in the barn but because you sided with Lilly, she came and helped you. Also when you're about to be electricuted on the fence by the other brother, if you sided with Kenny, she doesn't shoot him, leaving you to fight him off yourself. So it's moments like that where you're relationships with characters alter the story slightly. I've actually never seen a play through that's sided with Lilly before so it was good to see something different this time :)

Tbh the the writers didn't do Doug any favors, they give you very little incentive to pick him over Carly tho the games get better at this in the future
As much as I like siding with Kenny for the sake of his character, I did some research and you're basically right. I myself wasn't sure if this was true or the odds of surviving a heart attack without medical care. Kenny's little bit about the family dog goes to show he didn't want to do it. He's not a bad man.

I've watched people play this game a hundred times, and after Larry punches you and leaves you for dead in the drug store, EVERYONE immediately promises that they'll kill him or let him die the second he gets the chance. I LOVE how the game straight up gives you your wish in the meat locker, almost like "you wanted to kill him so bad? then do it! let's see if you can do it!" And you know what? 9/10 of those people who despise Larry and want him dead aren't able to kill him in the meat locker. I find it so interesting!
You guys should really give The Wolf Among Us a shot after this. It's incredible, and you don't need to have read the comics beforehand, it does a good job at explaining most things anyway.
It is such a treat seeing actual fans of the Walking Dead show, playing this game 😊 The percentages at the end of each episode are pretty evened out because so many people have replayed this game and make different choices to see the other outcomes.
I love how episode 1 ends on such an optimistic note. Then the power goes out. We get a three month timeskip and everyone is more stressed out. There's tension everywhere. When I first played, I honestly felt really bad for Lily. We see that the group elected her as the leader. And when things are going well, there's no problem. But the moment things aren't going perfect or a hard decision has to be made, suddenly everything falls onto your shoulders. Suddenly people start blaming you for things that you have no control over. And it's not like they've dealt with an apocalypse before to know what to do. She's just trying to do her best. Then she has to watch her group get kidnapped and lose her dad in the process. Larry might not have been the nicest, but that was still her father. Her blood. The tension between Lily and Kenny was building up slowly. But now it's probably at an all time high. Guess we'll have to see where that goes in the next episode.
Kenny hesitated to help because you didn't kill Larry, it damaged your relationship - Answer telling him that he destroyed two lives made things worse. You're losing the guy that had your back.
Pretty dumb if you ask me especially what happens in episode 3 it makes the decision even worse now.. never understood everyone's sudden love for Larry in a dangerous situation like that
It’s not a “love for Larry” type thing. I could be rambling but I can totally see why they tried to save him, realistically if someone has a heart attack the first thing you DONT do is immediately say “oh they are dead, no way of saving them better not even try” I can assume the reasoning was “maybe if I can save the guy who has tried to kill me and who hates me, maybe it can smooth things out and he will change because he can see I still value his life” I mean come on, he was on the floor ten seconds and Kenny was ready to kill him. It echos back to the scene with Duck when they first met him, one person was 100% sure he was gonna turn and was ready to kill him, but everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was just a child. (If you actually do the CPR fast enough Larry will actually start to move his head as if he’s coming to. As a human or a walker, we will never know) (Spoiler for the TV show) Remember, everyone wanted Negan to die for what he did but Rick chose to keep him alive and it allowed Negan to redeem himself and save Judith. Maybe, just maybe, Larry could have been around to take a bullet for someone.

I really appreciate your compassion for Jolene; I've seen some players call her just crazy or weird, I thought it was obvious she's traumatized Fun fact: Jolene and Katjaa are played by the same voice actor, Cissy Jones Also, you're the only players I've seen fixing the swing themselves (instead of Andy fixing it) but then not pushing Clementine on the swing 😂
The percentages at the end of each episode are mixed because people replayed the game making the results all at the middle but if you want to see some accurate statistics check out pewdiepie's end screen so you can get an actual idea of what people decided
Seeing that you are beyond this now, it does kind of bum me out that not siding with Kenny in the meat locker is such a massively, impactful decision determining his relationship with Lee because he is such an awesome fucking character, especially when he is like the Daryl to Lee’s Rick if you side with him

This episode is one of my favorites! But it feels like years between uploads for this game, the anticipation is killing me. Episode 3 is just insane and I can't wait to see what you guys think of that chapter. Also Kenny is super loyal if you are to him, I suggest having his back in more situations for help in the future :)
❤ A lot of people say "don't watch the Telltale episode teasers!" because of spoilers but just so you know its more of a concept for the next episode than actual gameplay, I guarantee only 30% of it will actually happen in game, the rest is just story concept, character animations and lines that will never show up. that's because I think the trailers were made before the episodes were finished, even clems hoodie was wrong in the episode 3 teaser. Watch'em or don't, but ignore anyone who gives you crap for it. Also Im looking forward to these episodes, way more than the rdr2 ones 😅 this game still holds up years later❤

the problem is Lee and Clem only existed in the comic book universe. TWD Telltale games covers that universe not AMC's TWD TV Universe. Would be cool to have a series with them though.
Just a fyi, if you haven't agreed with/agree with Kenny 100% of the time, when you speak to him, sometimes, at strange moments or when you need him, he'll starts talking out the side of his neck like you aren't there for him & don't make all the decisions, lol. Just, read the room when it comes to him, he can be a good friend {family is not his only weakness}. At the end of the day, teach Clem as much as you can, all while protecting & loving her like y'all have. Great episode fellas...💖
The walking dead game takes place in the comic universe not the tv show universe which is why Glenn and Hershel look a bit different they look more book accurate than show accurate episode 1 of the game takes place while Rick is in a coma in the hospital
I knew you guys would do the kind, moral thing and help save Larry, BUT since this was a BIG game decision (one that you HAD to choose a side) I was still secretly hoping you'd side with Kenny lol, especially while Answer was in control of the choice I thought maybe there was a chance! haha, Kenny certainly ain't gonna be your friend NO more 😅 I was too spiteful to let go of what Larry did and how he treated Lee the entire time... he left Lee for dead and he would gladly do it again... he also advocated for killing Duck, a little kid who wasn't even bitten--who does that?... Larry's not worth saving; however, Kenny had my back throughout. Lee and Kenny were bros in my playthrough. As for Larry's heart attack it looked like the "big one", like no amount of CPR would help... a hospital with doctors and pills maybe, maybe that would buy him time, but there was no helping him while stuck in a meat locker. Even though Kenny has a temper and I don't agree with all his choices I still love him and his loyalty (if you're friends with him at least), so I'll be sad to see how his & Lee's friendship diminishes in your playthrough, but I'm still excited to watch. It's a lot of fun!
Now unfortunately they'll probably hate Kenny and get the bad experience that comes from playing this game.. especially after episode 3 if you know you know.. sucks to see people experiencing this side of Kenny every youtuber basically helped Lilly literally after everything Larry did to Lee I don't get it
@@MatrixMayyhem Yeah definitely it's amazing how the game experience changes depending on if you're friends with Kenny or not, and yes is disappointing knowing they (& most RUclipsrs) won't see that good loyal side of Kenny. Their friendship was one of my favourite parts about this game. Same, I haven't seen many RUclipsrs side with Kenny on this. Could understand if Larry was somewhat likable and harmless, but he was a huge liability whether alive or dead. What if he turned into a walker while they were trapped inside the meat locker and ended up biting Clem and killing her? Killing everyone? He's a big man, zombie or not. The group had no weapons on them to protect themselves from Zombie Larry & they needed to escape that room asap. Kinda hoped the fellas at Badd Medicine would pull a Shane or a later-season Rick Grimes and take care of business lol. Rick would've smashed Larry's face in before Kenny had the chance lol.

Catching up on the episodes I had missed. I love that you guys are jumping into it. I love that ya'll are just getting into the characters as well. Up to season 2-5 is really good ya'll going to have fun.
I'm not gonna lie I love the way all of you laugh at some of the subtle comedic moments and stuff. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this. Also just a minor tip: Usually if there's an interaction with a character asking if you're ready to leave the area, back out of it so that you can talk to everybody and complete the area. Diamond Dave already said it but you missed a whole portion talking to Kenny and pushing the kids on the swing talking about the plan with the RV and stuff.
The walkie talkie Glenn uses to talk to Rickk in the Pilot is Clem's. So Clem/Lee help save Rick as the very first thing that happens in the base show.
Yeah they messed up siding with Lilly. I get wanting to have humanity in these types of situations but risking yourself and Clementine for Larry wasn’t the move.
Realistically speaking, you would not side with Kenny right there. Even if Larry had died, it wasn't instantly, because that's not how a heart attack works. Kenny was far too hasty there.

Coming from a “non gamer” this was my fav game to play in highschool! The decision making and not too crazy control movements. I’m so excited for all the story lines to come!!
I was lucky enough to see the Trailer Park Boys live show a few years back. Right after John Dunsworth passed. They did a really nice tribute to him at the end. Not a dry eye in the house. That was just about the best night of entertainment I have ever had or am likely to have.
Its actually possible to stump Larry by taking the high road earlier on, if you tell Mark he's just looking out his daughter, Mark tells Larry you said that and Larry gets stuck trying to think of a way to tell you off
Fingers crossed Kenny will come around in your playthrough! He definitely is a fan favorite and he is such a loyal character if you side with him🙏🙏 Can’t wait to see how things play through and what kind of interactions you guys unlock
I recommend walking away and letting the trailer for the next episode play out. It kinda spoils certain parts of the story, great video! I’m so glad to see after so many years the game can still be enjoyed for the first time
If you don't chop off David's leg you get Travis to come with you back to the motor inn instead. It's better to take Travis than David since Travis' dad was special forces. He knows what he's doing.

Also, if you were wondering, while you can’t save Larry you can look up videos that show right before his head is smashed he breathes again, meaning Larry could have lived
@@Kickinthescience I know. But Lee being the bigger man and trying to save him is good to see. I mean in the show Hershel came back after he stopped breathing, so could Larry if given the chance. It also helped establish peaceful relations with Lily

I believe you can hold L1/LB to walk faster during exploring sections. Helps to move around and get to things quicker.
You can give food once to people, not more than once, and there isnt enough food for everyone, id stick to feeding the children tho

It’s not a “love for Larry” type thing. I could be rambling but I can totally see why they tried to save him, realistically if someone has a heart attack the first thing you DONT do is immediately say “oh they are dead, no way of saving them better not even try”
I can assume the reasoning was “maybe if I can save the guy who has tried to kill me and who hates me, maybe it can smooth things out and he will change because he can see I still value his life”
I mean come on, he was on the floor ten seconds and Kenny was ready to kill him. It echos back to the scene with Duck when they first met him, one person was 100% sure he was gonna turn and was ready to kill him, but everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was just a child. (If you actually do the CPR fast enough Larry will actually start to move his head as if he’s coming to. As a human or a walker, we will never know)

Remember, everyone wanted Negan to die for what he did but Rick chose to keep him alive and it allowed Negan to redeem himself and save Judith. Maybe, just maybe, Larry could have been around to take a bullet for someone.

Clementine has one of the coolest character arcs I've seen in a game other than Arthur, but for a kid it's very impressive

Fun fact: If you count to 4 when giving Larry cpr you can see his mouth move so basically Larry was still alive before Kenny finished him off

Seeing that you are beyond this now, it does kind of bum me out that not siding with Kenny in the meat locker is such a massively, impactful decision determining his relationship with Lee because he is such an awesome fucking character, especially when he is like the Daryl to Lee’s Rick if you side with him

This episode is one of my favorites! But it feels like years between uploads for this game, the anticipation is killing me. Episode 3 is just insane and I can't wait to see what you guys think of that chapter. Also Kenny is super loyal if you are to him, I suggest having his back in more situations for help in the future :)

because of spoilers but just so you know its more of a concept for the next episode than actual gameplay, I guarantee only 30% of it will actually happen in game, the rest is just story concept, character animations and lines that will never show up.
that's because I think the trailers were made before the episodes were finished, even clems hoodie was wrong in the episode 3 teaser.
Watch'em or don't, but ignore anyone who gives you crap for it.

Just a fyi, if you haven't agreed with/agree with Kenny 100% of the time, when you speak to him, sometimes, at strange moments or when you need him, he'll starts talking out the side of his neck like you aren't there for him & don't make all the decisions, lol. Just, read the room when it comes to him, he can be a good friend {family is not his only weakness}. At the end of the day, teach Clem as much as you can, all while protecting & loving her like y'all have. Great episode fellas...💖

The walking dead game takes place in the comic universe not the tv show universe which is why Glenn and Hershel look a bit different they look more book accurate than show accurate episode 1 of the game takes place while Rick is in a coma in the hospital

I knew you guys would do the kind, moral thing and help save Larry, BUT since this was a BIG game decision (one that you HAD to choose a side) I was still secretly hoping you'd side with Kenny lol, especially while Answer was in control of the choice I thought maybe there was a chance! haha, Kenny certainly ain't gonna be your friend NO more 😅 I was too spiteful to let go of what Larry did and how he treated Lee the entire time... he left Lee for dead and he would gladly do it again... he also advocated for killing Duck, a little kid who wasn't even bitten--who does that?... Larry's not worth saving; however, Kenny had my back throughout. Lee and Kenny were bros in my playthrough. As for Larry's heart attack it looked like the "big one", like no amount of CPR would help... a hospital with doctors and pills maybe, maybe that would buy him time, but there was no helping him while stuck in a meat locker. Even though Kenny has a temper and I don't agree with all his choices I still love him and his loyalty (if you're friends with him at least), so I'll be sad to see how his & Lee's friendship diminishes in your playthrough, but I'm still excited to watch. It's a lot of fun!
Now unfortunately they'll probably hate Kenny and get the bad experience that comes from playing this game.. especially after episode 3 if you know you know.. sucks to see people experiencing this side of Kenny every youtuber basically helped Lilly literally after everything Larry did to Lee I don't get it
@@MatrixMayyhem Yeah definitely it's amazing how the game experience changes depending on if you're friends with Kenny or not, and yes is disappointing knowing they (& most RUclipsrs) won't see that good loyal side of Kenny. Their friendship was one of my favourite parts about this game. Same, I haven't seen many RUclipsrs side with Kenny on this. Could understand if Larry was somewhat likable and harmless, but he was a huge liability whether alive or dead. What if he turned into a walker while they were trapped inside the meat locker and ended up biting Clem and killing her? Killing everyone? He's a big man, zombie or not. The group had no weapons on them to protect themselves from Zombie Larry & they needed to escape that room asap. Kinda hoped the fellas at Badd Medicine would pull a Shane or a later-season Rick Grimes and take care of business lol. Rick would've smashed Larry's face in before Kenny had the chance lol.
@@MatrixMayyhem It's pretty obvious why they helped Lilly, she isn't her father. Lilly has shown multiple times to be reasonable, so it stands to reason to at least try to help her before just letting loose.

I'm not gonna lie I love the way all of you laugh at some of the subtle comedic moments and stuff. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this. Also just a minor tip: Usually if there's an interaction with a character asking if you're ready to leave the area, back out of it so that you can talk to everybody and complete the area. Diamond Dave already said it but you missed a whole portion talking to Kenny and pushing the kids on the swing talking about the plan with the RV and stuff.
The walkie talkie Glenn uses to talk to Rickk in the Pilot is Clem's. So Clem/Lee help save Rick as the very first thing that happens in the base show.
Yeah they messed up siding with Lilly. I get wanting to have humanity in these types of situations but risking yourself and Clementine for Larry wasn’t the move.

Realistically speaking, you would not side with Kenny right there. Even if Larry had died, it wasn't instantly, because that's not how a heart attack works. Kenny was far too hasty there.

I was lucky enough to see the Trailer Park Boys live show a few years back. Right after John Dunsworth passed. They did a really nice tribute to him at the end. Not a dry eye in the house. That was just about the best night of entertainment I have ever had or am likely to have.

Its actually possible to stump Larry by taking the high road earlier on, if you tell Mark he's just looking out his daughter, Mark tells Larry you said that and Larry gets stuck trying to think of a way to tell you off

If you don't chop off David's leg you get Travis to come with you back to the motor inn instead. It's better to take Travis than David since Travis' dad was special forces. He knows what he's doing.

Also, if you were wondering, while you can’t save Larry you can look up videos that show right before his head is smashed he breathes again, meaning Larry could have lived

@@Kickinthescience I know. But Lee being the bigger man and trying to save him is good to see. I mean in the show Hershel came back after he stopped breathing, so could Larry if given the chance. It also helped establish peaceful relations with Lily
