I really appreciate learning from you. So much good information. I like being able to see how to loosely use the rulers, it allows me some freedom to see you do it.
This has been a great challenge series Angela. I really learned a lot but still need much more practice. The key of ruler work for me was learning how to nudge the foot to the ruler without pushing!! LOL did some very odd patterns along the way. Much gratitude to you and may your business continue on the path to success.
Thank you soooo much for these videos! I just completed a quilt that used a combination of ruler work and free motion in the final border. I have a “continuous heart” ruler that I used for the “heart” design, but then wasn’t sure how to turn the corner. Then I had a (rare) moment of inspiration. I have a “butterfly” border stencil and decided to use that in the corners. Then had another moment of inspiration! What if I quilted a string of four butterflies at the midway point of ALL four sides?! Oh boy! I can’t tell you proud of myself I was for that. Plus, it came out beautifully! The rest of he quilt was done with designs I learned from you. While my free motion skills are still a bit “primitive”, I loved the overall effect of the quilting as a whole. Thank you for all the help you given to me and the rest of the quilting community! I couldn’t have done it without you!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of quilting and for empowering me to try new things and gain the confidence. Love your rulers and now own most of them. Sue
You have my wheels really turning to decide which designs to put in my border. I think it will be pretty chunky with all these tempting ideas. Thanks ever so much!
Thank you so much for inspiring me to use quilting rulers. Enjoyed and learned lots from all of your machine quilting with rulers videos... now back to binge watching all again👍. Many blessings to you! See you next year😉
This was my first quilt challenge and I loved it! Looking forward to BAQ and your next challenge next year. And thanks for explaining SID's name last week at the Live Chat!
Thank you so much!! I always learn so much. You make me do designs I wouldn't usually do. Plus I have lots of rulers and had really only used slim. So thanks again!
I have learned so much from you and I'm loving all of the techniques I have been practicing! One thing that still scares me is the "all over" designs. I am afraid that I will not be able to keep the swirls, curls, whatever EVEN all over the quilt. I picture myself saying "this side is more dense than the other" and going back and trying to fill in. I would love it if you would do a tutorial with tips on how to keep an all over design even over the entire quilt. Thanks!!
This was my first time using rulers! I really was challenged with some of them, but learned a lot and overcame my fear of rulers. Thank you so much for the challenge!
This challenge was amazing and I really am stretching my creative wings and flying higher than ever before. Thank you for the courage and knowledge from take off, to soaring and landing. PS Have you ever thought of a Tshirt that says Echo, Echo Echo?
This has nothing to do with the quilting with rules challenge but a midnight quilt show season premiere of season 2 the bargello quilt pattern. Since blueprint no longer exist do you know if that quilt pattern is available somewhere else? I love your generosity in sharing your love of quilting with all of us thank you so much! ❤
This whole series has been SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL in me getting more confident using my rulers. I've even found myself not wanting to change back to my walking foot so I just used a straight edge on a couple things I needed to quilt straight LOL. Thank you so much, Angela. You're a great teacher and I love watching you. Now my only question.... How and when do we get to see the Midnight Quilter? I clicked on a playlist on your page and it said it was private? Is this something we subscribe to or has it just not yet been posted? Some of us need to know we aren't the only ones who require piecing potion! :) Thanks again and if I don't hear from you, Happy Holidays.
Love your teaching but I can’t decide what to do for this quilt I did for my grandson. It would be the first I would fill in and it’s a twin size. Please suggest something for me It’s a rhombus cube quilt thanks
I do have 2 questions and hope you can help direct me to the right videos or answers. First, I am wondering, how do I make sure that I have even designs from top to bottom and then across the top and bottom from left to right? I worry about getting to the end and not being able to complete a full design. My second question is, in free motion quilting, how do I make sure that my right and left side and from top to bottom has the designs all about the same size? The 1/4 inch apart helps fill it in, but I am referring to actual size, especially on a regular home machine. Any tips you have learned? Thank you so much for all of your help, guidance and teaching. I am one of those fearful quilters, you know, the one’s who sit and stew over fabric choices and quilting designs, haha. Anyway, you have helped me so much in taking the plunge and overcoming my fears. I can’t thank you enough!!
How can I use the Taj cutout in the border so the leaves are in a line (points up) and then go back with the leaves points down, fit in between the first row? Thanks!
I’m gaining confidence thanx to your detailed instructions in these videos. Best quilting teacher ever!

Thanks for the border ruler ideas to quilt our borders. Now to work on those borders 👏👏👏
I Love your quilting.

I so love your "teaching" delivery. You make it all seem just a little less scary! Love your rulers, too.

Great video! I would try out the piano key . I think echo lines and curves would be a challenge for me.
So cool!

Angela, will you be making low shank versions of your other quilting rulers?
