Made this recipe last night and it turned out perfect. Followed recipe without alterations. Accompanied with steamed green beans and red potatoes. My husband slurpped up the butter/garlic sauce from the pan and poured it over his beans and potatoes. Thanks Preppy Kitchen for the cooking lesson!
Thank you. Your recipe so delicious and so easy to make. You explained and show it clearly and simple way that make this delicate dish recipe amazingly. I tried so many time from other recipes and never get right. But you, thank thank thank you again
Thank you so much for your informative scallop cooking video. My husband loves them and I always wanted to try making scallops for him. After watching your video, you gave me the key information and confidence to give them a try at home.
Excellent tutorial. I learned so much and had it down pat after the fourth time. I had no lemon or fresh garlic. I improvised and used a jar of minced (refrigerated) garlic and a delicious, juicy Caramel Cara orange, adding juice and zest. It turned out fantastic! Thanks! 😊👍
Thank you so much! I just made this and it was delicious. I am embarrassed to say that I never realized how bad my scallops were before! I was using a non-stick pan, extra virgin olive oil and just salt and pepper.
I would love you to give us some recipes for children’s lunch foods eg meal in muffin etc. You recipes are amazing and you have lids so,you would know. Thanks
Ooo, I'm from the east coast, have been searing scallops all my life and I find three minutes per side, even for sea scallops, a bit long. I set a timer for 2½ minutes, and then flip and sear for another 1½ minutes, no more. Otherwise, well done. I sometimes soak them in a brine for 30 minutes, sometimes adding lemon to the brine, before patting them dry and searing them. But this is how I generally do them as well.
I like you. You're like Bob Ross mixed with Julia Child. I also like your videos. There much better than those other channels like So Yummy and 5 Minute Crafts.
Wow, these look fantastic! Will have to make them. Could you do a video on bacon-wrapped scallops? Had them once at a wedding reception and, oh how delicious!
I found out that one of the best way to cook scallops is the air fryer. About to experiment more and probably gonna cook half time in air fryer and will finish on the pan with butter
John, do you just cook your pasta al dente in salted water or do you add anything else before topping it with the seared scallops? I’d love to make this it looks so good!!!
Yay I love scallops! Thank you! I've tried making some but now I used a nonstick pan with low heat and did not come close to getting that golden crust 🙈 I realize what I did wrong now and can't wait to try again 😬
Hi John ❤ please could you do a video about ingredients that can be swapped out ie if a recipe calls for sourcream or yogurt but you don't have or use either what can you use? Or if you want to use whole eggs instead of whites how many whole eggs? ❤ please can you do more gluten free recipes 🙏 ❤
I love scallops. They are one of my favorite dishes. I tried making them a couple of times and ruined them both times by over-cooking. How do you get rid of the grit? I even had this issue at a restaurant. Not enjoyable at all.
How is someone just so flipping likeable and calming???
I don't know which I like more, the food you cook or how much fun you're having while doing it.

Damn I rarely wanna try any seafood incorporated dishes but may try this!
At first I thought you meant seared scalloped potatoes, which also sounds good.
Yay I love scallops! Thank you! I've tried making some but now I used a nonstick pan with low heat and did not come close to getting that golden crust 🙈 I realize what I did wrong now and can't wait to try again 😬
This looks incredible. It’s unfortunate that the price of scallops is a little too high in my area.

Yummmm 😋 🤤
Thx for your recipe...But where are you from...?
These scallops are far superior to the restaurant offerings and it can just be served as a standalone dish, like an appetiser.
