I love how McHaggis-man managed to keep just enough difficulty in the medium chart to where you really feel like you’re progressing as a player. As someone stuck in medium limbo, it would definitely benefit medium players to play this chart and practice it nonstop as they progress to harder difficulties. No one just starts at expert, so props.

I can beat guitar hero songs on expert, some with over 95% and 1 fc, but medium looks impossible to me. Half the expert songs in main guitar her games look easier than medium.
well, they are a bit undercharted because that's one of the main thing happening on lower difficulties back in GH1-GH2-GH3-... And compare to normal GH, they don't nesecerly do the 25% notes/50% notes/75% notes/100% notes (Easy/Medium/Hard/Expert for the matching difficulties/% of notes), if they was, they will do like this: Easy: 2 251 or 2 252 Medium: 4 502 or 4 503 Hard: 6 753 or 6 754 Expert: 9 005 but, they do: Easy: 3 495 (38,812%) Medium: 5 607 (62,265%) Hard: 7 817 (86,807%) Expert 9 005 (100%)
For everyone that's saying that easy, medium etc, are really hard and unfair, well thing is, soulless 4 wasn't made to be easy at all. (Sorry for late reply) Actually, it's not harder on hard. Most of the HOPO chords are followed by a single note which is the lowest color of the chords. Thus, you only have to let go of one fret, instead of both frets which you have to do on Expert.

Honestly I feel the hard chart is in a good spot right now. I can comfortably get myself up to 96-98% tops. There are parts I still have to practise, such as murderous and some others, but I genuinely feel like SL4 on hard is fine as is. Any "easier" (because I'm not saying it's easy), would defeat the purpose of it being a proper challenge for those mad enough to try.
Isn’t the point of easier difficulties to prepare you to move up to harder ones? I personally feel like while easy is by no means a beginner track, it’s definitely one that you would practice as you prepare to move on to medium. Moving to the medium chart specifically may not happen right away, but it sure is a good test of skills you’ve built up, and a good challenge to reveal what you still need practice on. I’m personally okay with all three of the lower difficulty charts.
Maybe we should make new difficulties for songs like this, cuz i'd say that medium looks like an expert to me and that expert is more like "why are you doing this"

Hard looks like a ton of fun in my opinion. It has most of the elements of expert but the tapping doesn't require the 6 or 7 finger tapping skill like expert does and that's what I cannot do.
It's great for people that are just under the level of playing the Expert chart. I guess kinda like an Expert Minus. I find it actually fun, not overly hard but not too easy for me personally. I found S5's Hard chart boring in comparison, even tho it is better in terms of difficulty progression.

The quads are usually sixteenth notes or eighth notes and the trips are usually eighth note triplets or quarter note triplets. 4 sixteenths equal 3 eighth note triplets and 4 eighths equal 3 quarter note triplets, so I’d say it makes a lot of sense.
Solo of a Robot A is a bit fast for medium and the pattern of stepping solo a is rough for players on keyboard or controller although I don’t know why you would be on controller

i have to say that the hard chart is not loyal to the games. if there is a hard part on expert, it would be way nerfed on hard mode. take jordan for example. the hard chart pales in comparison. The chart displayed is way too hard for it to be hard difficulty if one were to be loyal. exilelords hard chart is the same, but that wasn’t meant to be a hard difficulty chart.
