    I think Java and JavaScript are completely different languages.

      Yes, absolutely. Java is an object oriented programming language. whereas on the other hand JavaScript is a Scripting language with shorter code lengths and greater functionality compared to just Java.

    Company like amazon,Microsoft and google hire software engineer.. are they java developer... becausee they give salary to freasher more that 40 lakhs..?

      Every company has its own requirements, similarly, every software developer need not be only a Java Developer, but yes, there are many companies which are highly dependent on Java. Chances are there that a company might hire you as a Software developer, provided you have some strong analytical skills and programming skills.
