    I did this as well with some strips I bought from a local Home Center and indeed in works both for air / odors and sound - imagine cigarette smoke entering your apartment from another apartment - we have a very small hall - 2 apartments only in the same floor - I also installed one of those under the door 2 sponge cylinder things

      Yes, I was also too annoyed with the noise from the hallway, that’s why I decided to install these. It really did wonders for me, no more hallway noise 👍👍👍

      How long it survive

    • @rookie.handyman
      @rookie.handyman  Год назад +1

      If you glue it nicely and it sticks good it can survive for 10 years for sure. Overtime, that glie starts to desolve itself and that is the main reason why this seal strip peels itself off.

      You are welcome, I appreciate your support. My experience with this seal strip: before I had none, so after integrating this one I can tell you that it reduces as much as 50% of hallway noise, which is pretty good. But the only problem is that it is a little bit thicker seal strip, so I have issues with the door closing, I can choose to remove the seal strip from the lock side of the door but noise reduction won't be so good. I recommend you install one and see how it works for you 👍

    How many percent it working

    • @rookie.handyman
      @rookie.handyman  5 месяцев назад

      In my experience 50 percent noise reduction at least, because before there was a small gap in the door and it was very noisy from the hallway! 👍👍
