Totally disagree. You are talking about two different skill sets. Being a masterful musician and crafting a performance that takes an audience on a journey are two different things that don't always go hand in hand. The willingness to pull back a bit on some of the technical aspects and adapting it to something with broader familiarity to create something that people can connect with shows an incredible amount of maturity. He's already proven what he can do on the guitar, now he's showing that he has what it takes to push it to the next level.

Paganini caprice 24 was not boring Simon. You need to understand the brilliance of Marcin because he wanted to show the absolute complexities of his abilities. I really think even Marcin understood that the American crowd and the judges included won’t understand the masterpieces he was trying to pull off so he ended up with something of more appropriate taste for everyone. Hope he wins the show.
That is the truth - This guy in many ways is so beyond this show and never boring. I loved this performance but it was so clearly tailored for a more mainstream audience. But whatever Marcin plays - he is just brillant !

I just didn't know a guitar could be played like this until Marcin appeared! Thanls God for him. The bold "judge" (I don't know his name and I don't care) said a very ignorant phrase that pretended to be a compliment to Marcin, and that many people liked and cheered "you murdered your guitar" but quite the contrary, he glorified the guitar by showing such incredible sounds I NEVER thought were possible with that instrument! May Marcin live many years and gift us with this ability that, like Pavarotti's voice, occurs only once in a hundred years!

Still salty that Detroit Youth Choir advanced to the finals, and Marcin Patrzalek didn't because of some musically ill-informed judges and voters. Easy to find 50 teenagers with decent voices and perform shoddy-at-best choreography. Impossible to find someone like Marcin, a revolutionary musician who invented a new genre with just a guitar. The man that the show didn't deserve, but desperately needed.
I have seen several of this young man's videos and have been impressed every time. He should have won. Let's hope he has a great career. He deserves it.

This kid is amazing. God gifted talent and love and passion. That can only come from deep inside. He flows so nicely. I could not hear any cover ups. Meaning sometimes a guitarist will flow so fast that once in a while you will hit the wrong string, than cover it up by hitting another string, so people will not know you went off accidentally for a moment. The average ear will not pick it up. But a great musician can. I am not a great musician at all. But this kid got it. Natural. Love listening him.

I agree wholeheartedly with Simon. His previous acts showed raw talent with the way he just shreds his guitar, but here it's different. He used progression, controlled the rhythm, and unleashed his talent at all the right times. He understands the innate structure of music, and he implemented that perfectly here. This kid isn't just talented, he's a damn *master*.

He is the only one of his kind so no matter how talented anyone is, he can be the winner fro the next 10 seasons! Marcin is gifted and he truly expressed the full instrument. This guy should go down in history!!!

This kid is amazing. God gifted talent and love and passion. That can only come from deep inside. He flows so nicely. I could not hear any cover ups. Meaning sometimes a guitarist will flow so fast that once in a while you will hit the wrong string, than cover it up by hitting another string, so people will not know you went off accidentally for a moment. The average ear will not pick it up. But a great musician can. I am not a great musician at all. But this kid got it. Natural. Love listening him.
This is definitely The Next level man! So deserving a spot in the finals!!

This was the first time, I felt, I am not watching a talent Show, but I am on a concert of this guy. ;) I never felt it any time before.
I agree wholeheartedly with Simon. His previous acts showed raw talent with the way he just shreds his guitar, but here it's different. He used progression, controlled the rhythm, and unleashed his talent at all the right times. He understands the innate structure of music, and he implemented that perfectly here. This kid isn't just talented, he's a damn *master*.
I think Marcin has created a new genre of music, he combines all genres of music with a genius!
