This Polestar concept looks amazing :D. It's great to see the company go it's own way and make more models which use a different design language compared with the Volvo-inspired design of the 1 grand tourer :)
The crisp, sharp lines have a very modern architectural feel, and the side and three-quarter profiles are very Zagato. An interesting blend of Audi/Volvo/Nissan styling cues. I like it, and could definitely something like it coming to the market... Although perhaps sans drone.

I think that would probably be illegal. Or it will be. I'm thinking if its an accident, rescue service don't want to have privately owned drones flying around...
Love this concept. Driving along in quiet and being able to enjoy the scenery, hearing the birds or the ocean maybe instead of a noisy engine is ideal for a convertible.
I think it looks great, I just wish vehicles these days didn’t have such tall waistlines. I’m sure safety has a lot to do with it, but even as a concept it seems like it has a slightly off aspect ratio. It looks quite large because of it in my humble opinion.
100%. And it's so goofy that manufacturers do the same "trick" of adding more black to the bottom of the car to try to make the car look smaller. A really cheap and ineffective design strategy.

Sort of reminds me of a VW XL1, especially from behind. Can't say I'm a massive fan, but there are certainly design features I like. Looks amazing with the roof closed though.
Change the alloys and offer the user a button to rotate the central display to horizontal orientation-most cars should have this option. Some Chinese cars offer this feature and it's a very good idea.
Hopefully Polestar will put this into production. This car is gorgeous! The rear end looks incredible with those sharp lines. That reference to the new Z car is spot on. With the roof up, it truly does have almost the exact profile from the side as a 370Z or the new Z. I have a 370Z and it looks very similar from the side view. Finally, electric cars that are more affordable than the super and hyper cars and starting to look fantastic and may be attainable by us normal folks (well, with a lot of overtime maybe!). Nice job Polestar.
Absolutely love the style... As long as the sportier e-cars make SOME sort of interesting noise... Like a scifi spaceship or jet fighter, then it's fine... What you don't want, unless it's a luxury version, is no noise at all...
@@cademckee7276 Are there any actual Volvo engineers working for Polestar? And, I am well aware of Volvo's well-earned safety credentials, but I am not going to automatically associate that with Polestar. AFAIK, it's owned by the massive Chinese Geely corporation, so I have no residual faith in their automotive engineering abilities anymore.
@@bobdobbs69 Both Volvo and Polestar are owned by geely yes, but them seem to let them do what they want and just supply the funds. Let’s not forget Geely also owns Lotus now. If it was a 2 seater and they had made the rear of the car a more conventional roof line I think it would've been one of the best looking cars in recent years
Polestar is, just like Henry mentioned, the future of EVs. They are pushing the design and showing how the future doesn't need to be blend (Tesla) nor ugly (BMW)!!! This is a gorgeous car.
I’m amazed it’s taken this long to come out with attractive, innovative ideas for the younger generation. I like the thinking behind Polestar and it’s about time another electric car company take’s on Tesla..well done let’s hope we see concept becoming reality 🙏👍
How many people are there who took their 12.9" iPad and mounted it in the car? Not many? So why, then, do all car manufacturers think it's such a great idea?
That is going to to have to be a lot of carbon negative materials and assembly to offset the massive carbon footprint caused by the battery mining and manufacture

How would the drone avoid obstacles, especially oncoming vehicles?
Sensational.....Polestar just keep on delivering.
I'm ready for the 884 hp Polestar 5 sedan and the rumored 1,300 hp high-performance variant to beat the Model S Plaid.
Which itself will then be outdone by the 1,600 hp Lucid Air tri-motor.
Looks like the type of car I would draw in elementary school -- blocky shape with large simple wheels that fill the wheel well.
