What I think people with normal/dry skin don't understand is that the oil produced by your face is slightly tacky/sticky. So, it might look like a beautiful glow, but it's not the same thing as applying a facial oil or having an illuminating skin product. If the wind blows, all of your baby hair stick to your face unless you blot/powder every few hours. It's also extremely uncomfortable when it gets really shiny, like you have a thick layer of makeup that's been sitting on your face for hours, even if you're not wearing any makeup.
🙌 Raising my hand for the question who has never used a makeup wipe on their face - me! I’ve always thought they were horrible- uncomfortable, hard to use, ineffective and so wasteful! I’m 52 and people say I dont look my age at all- I contribute it to good skincare from a very young age.
Same here. Never used a face wipe. I'm originally from Lithuania, so when I was growing up I don't even remember that many face wipes around. But it could also be because my mum taught me to cleanse my face ALWAYS. I may have gone to bed without washing my face less than 5 times in my entire life. I'm 34
Side note, they recently reformulated the Differin Dark Spot correcting serum with the ban of Hydroquinone, it's now a 4% Niacinamide serum with Sea Buckthorn Oil
I just have so much trouble with the idea that sunscreen is so hard to get off that you have to double cleanse, but so fragile that you have to reapply every 2 hours. I can see having to double cleanse if you actually follow that rule set forth by the sunscreen providers and have 8 layers (applied in the massive amounts recommended) on your face by the end of the day.
Sunscreen in direct sunlight loses its spf after a few hours, but the actual cream will still be there! Aka you need to wash it off thoroughly at the end of the day or the leftover missed residues of it can break u out! Just like u would with makeup!❤️
The fragility yiu said refers to sunscreen's ability to protect us from the uv which does degrade overtime no matter what which is why you should reapply. Although I do agree with using an oil cleanser, not that I am against oil or balm cleansers I just think cleansing twice with whatever cleanser you have should be fine. I just use a water based gel cleanser twice and it works fine.
Yeap..! 🤷♀️Only heat triggers my frickin' melasma on my cheeks pretty noticeable. I try to avoid it and the sun as well. I just started using Naturium Tranexamic & Azelaic Serums recently and I'm glad my skin reacted positively to both prods. It's upsetting to try to incorporate or simply change prods into a skin care routine just because of the possibility of an allergic reaction / irritation. Also, I was a little hesitant about trying the Azelaic serum at first because it contains vit c, which my skin gets kind of irritated with its use (that's why I stopped using my usual despigment serum) but I'm glad everything is controled at the moment.
Susan you are a sweetheart I feel like you are a really cool person very genuine and down to earth! Especially seeing you work with her. Lol. Keep being you Susan your a beautiful kind woman!💯💯💯👍🏽😘 (your not stuck up)
Love this vidéo, and your recommandations ! Love the blush Dr Sam Ellis was wearing in the video, can you tell us the color and the the brand? Thank you, from a parisian girl

Not really it's really a overpriced moisturiser in a smaller tube but if it a retinol eye cream or eye cream with actives that will help the under eye problems
@@sassouusasoo3607 you have a problem with that? Wow, you must be a Democrat. You people are as sensitive as a hunchback. You people make an issue out of EVERYTHING. GET OVER IT.
@@sassouusasoo3607 by the way you cry baby liberal, I am also going to dress up in my borrowed Kimomo, make some rice for my boyfriend in the rice cooker he got me, and massage his feet. After that I will give him some awesome sex. Later we will make some origami, and take a long drive in my Japanese made Lexus.
I would also love to get advice about my routine. I have sensitive, mostly dry skin with bumps and rosacea. I also have a bit of pigment spots and clogged pores on my nose.
I thought Susan wasn’t big on double cleansing if not wearing make up? Maybe I have her confused with another YT’r. I personally don’t think it’s necessary. It’s so much wasted product and if I’m not feeling up to putting make up on for the day, I’m certainly not willing to double cleanse lol
Big thank you to Yessi for sending in her routine! I hope this video was helpful. Also to Dr. Sam Ellis. We love having her on the channel!
Thank you Susan and Dr. Ellis for a very informative and caring review 💖 of Yessi’s routine.
Watching Dr. Ellis approving of things is the positive feedback we all need.
Dr. Ellis is so elaborative- i like her!
I LOVE this series with Dr Ellis. I also miss Nina

Yeah.. Only people with dry skin will say someone is glowing when they're actually feeling oily and greasy 😂
Love this videos, specially with Dr. Ellis!! 👍🏼

I have never used one either since I don't wear makeup.
Me too! I always felt like I was dirty and sticky after using them. And they burned my skin 😵

I’d really like to know what type of skincare and haircare routine is good for someone who has to work outside often(4-5 hours a day)
I really enjoy these videos I cannot wait for dry and large pores video 🤞🏽 some I get a lot of black heads or a ton of sebum Anything for those?
Same here, sebaceous filaments for days 😭

The cream base will stay, the SPF value and protection is what needs to be topped up

Susan and Sam......MORE PLEASE!
Your should have mentioned the effect of hydroquinone on people with darker skin tones.

The Differin Dark Spot Corrector now has niacinamide in place of hydroquinone

Dr. Alexis Stephens mentions cyspera as a safer alternative to hydroquinone, especially with people who have darker skin tones
i like the way susan talk....😍
I have oily skin and totally prefer richer moisturizers for my nighttime routine.

I'd looove to see a video on folliculitis, I've been dealing with it for so long and there's barely any information on it online!
Thanks for all the melasma info!

If I wear a normal mineral or chemical sunscreen and I also wear foundation on top of it, would it be the equivalent to a tinted sunscreen?
Love this video. What about eyecream? Is it not important? I use it everyday

I’ve still seen they differin dark spot serum the ingredients are different though it had like niacinamide and something else maybe retinol
