Hello just ordered a Risa strat tenor electic ukulele in solid white can't wait for it to arrive to my house. Hey man your skills on the ukulele amazing cool video.
@ItaliasianSaysMuffin Three tracks are used. All tracks played with the Behringer V-Amp 2 with the following settings: 1. Clean Sound Track (both pickups) Black Twin with Chorus and Hall 2. Distortion-Lead-Sound (neck pickup) Rectified Hi Gain with Compressor 3. Vocal-Sound (bridge pickup) Brit Blues (Marshall Emulation) with Auto Wah.
What a great sound. I own and play a RISA Red tenor electric Ukulele. I play one on my channel. I have owned it for 6 years now, and it is an excellent Ukulele. This LP Ukulele sounds really fantastic! :)
@snufflehog Absolutely true from the view point of an ukulele player. But as the manufacturer and designer of this instrument I can let you know that this instrument also attracts a lot of guitar players. Overall it sell much better than we ever hoped. Therefore I doubt that this video is an anti-ad. I am also convinced that this is the best electric ukulele ever. It will be successful anyway. Regards RISA Musical Instruments Rigk Sauer
Sounding like no ukulele I have heard. Really nice. Must be GCEA tuning but with a low G. Love these things. Like the rest of you folks I want one too. Also want to state the guy playing that little unit is very talented for sure. Awesome playing.
@kissing88 The serial model has a cream binding for the 2 gloss finished models in cherry sunburst and black. Andreas still plays an instrument of the pre-series. Only the natural satin finished mahogany model will come without bindings around neck and body.
With a Nylon strung instrument you would never reach this sound and the sustain. If a steel strung instrument is set up properply, then there is not much more finger pressure needed. And you have many new options like bending.
Of course, it does not really sound as a ukulele but it can be great for a uke player who want to play in a rock / Hard rock / Metal band and who does not want to play the guitar. I play ukulele and this kind of instrument interest me for its particularities
Exactly why I ordered one. I play uke in a rock band. I need to play rhythm and I refuse to play guitar. Boobs get in the way and small fingers will not stretch. I plan to get an octave dropper to go with my effects pedal.
oh dear, like i didn't already want one of these, you've just gone and made me want it more! not that i could play this great... but that's not the point I WANT THAT BEAUTIFUL UKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
@BflatTenor Nothing to be sorry about. It does not sound like any electric guitar, but exactely like a Les Paul guitar. This is the purpose of this instrument.
The ukulele is recognized by many as not being very versatile. The RISA here shows that a ukulele can do exactly what a guitar can do. You know how a normal ukulele works, this shows you something you wouldn't expect. I bet you can do anything on this uke that you could do on any other ukulele and then some. Plus it looks unreal. Uke players are supposed to be peaceful, don't hurt our rep :P No offence, a fellow ukulelist
@kissing88 this comment is spot on! i am currently trying to hget a eleuke coz i want to start shredding licks on uke and this simply doesn't sound good on traditional acoustic ukes!
Hey, these little ukes look and sound fantastic. What could be cooler that a well-built LP configured as a tenor uke? The Gibson Les Paul is well-tested as a great design that looks to also be perfect as a uke. What's not to like? Your I would love to have one of these, particularly the Mahogany model. Well done!
what is the strings used?? is it standard electric guitar strings, but tuned the way a uke is tuned. Interested as there sounds I can get on a uke that are much harder on guitar and don't sound as good. wondering does anyone know if its possible to string an electric guitar uke style, and tuned G C E A??? what strings would you use to do this???
@snufflehog This is appealing to me because I'm a uke player, but I absolutely suck at guitar. I do a lot of composition for commercials and jingles and the like. A lot of that stuff calls for guitar. Usually, I have to either hire a guitarist and lose money or spend hours upon hours, take after take to get my guitar performance up to par. This would make my workflow much more streamlined and keep my creativity flowing. But I kinda see what you're saying.
@Quack4Zac Not narrowminded at all. This is an electric uke, a concept that I really like. I just don't see the point of playing something that makes it sound exactly like an electric guitar. It should have its own voice and do something DIFFERENT from what a guitar should do. And you call ME narrow minded!
Read most of the comments, honestly I bought one, and its been the best investment ever. It truly is a great instrument forget all the other brands with peso type pickups and the like. However don't just buy one to play C,F,G like others do on a £15 uke. I like the fact that not many people have one yet, and so it gets a wow factor when I open the case. Serious players, it will make you improve to justify the purchase price, and with a Zoom G1 multi effects processor you can play any style, anywhere. Steve , I did posted a video a week after I got mine, search:- ( RISA Blues in 'A' ).
I'm a guitar player thinking of getting on of these in the Telecaster form and tuning it like a guitar so I can travel with it, would it be worth it? I mean, I can get a full size guitar for the same price, so I'm currently gathering info on these little ones
It is already tuned like a guitar. Take your guitar, put a capo on the fifth fret. Take off the two lowest strings on top or tape them so they are muted. Your 12 fret on guitar just became your 7th fret on ukulele. You most likely won't be able to tune the strings down low enough to play your regular guitar chords. You will recognize the shapes. if you compare Guitar and Uke tabs. if you are using it to practice leads higher up the fretboard then it might be worth it. I play uke and my husband plays guitar. Neither of us wants to play the other. As long as I keep telling him my 7th is your 12th fret he can play leads on it.
Thank you so much! I'll have to go try one of these little ones out! I'm used to moving shapes and tunings around since I also play slide guitar, so I doubt I'll have much trouble with it
Dear RISA I think the uke looks fantastic, however this video is a major turn off. The guy may as well have been playing an electric guitar. Really, what is the point? The fact that this instrument is a ukulele should encourage the player to do something DIFFERENT with it, not just emulate the guitar. Really, this is an anti-advertisement.

@@ukuleledotde Is that the Risa LP soprano? I want to buy the Risa LP Soprano. It only has 2 buttons, just like the ukulele in the video, but it looks pretty big for a soprano. Isn't it the soprano ukulele, because of the 2 buttons or am I wrong? I hope you answer me😜😊

Kudos to the company !! As you this is an old Gary Moore song and you did him proud !!

Awesome!!!!
Bravo j'adore 👍
Awesome video. I would buy that uke today if it was nylon strung. Arthritis has me struggling with finger pressure needed for steel strings.

Que bueno es el sonido de el ukulele risa y muy bello y fino yo quiero uno
@KenMiddletonUkulele Thanks Ken! Yes, it uses guitar strings.
@JoshAndBooze It is like with any electric guitar. Most people feel that steel strings are easier to play with a pick, but you don't need one.
@jeffandbob1 No, the manufacturer doesn't sell single parts of these instruments.

do you have tabs for this?
what is the format of the instrument played soprano or tenor? (normally with two buttons it is the soprano but it looks very big!)
Very beautifully played, Andreas. It's a lovely looking instrument, Rigk. The humbuckers look and sound great. Does it use regular strings?
Is it possible to buy the just the pickups or the pickups and the other electrics in the uk?
cool!

Can you tell me what the scale and nut width are on this uke. Sounds great!

Tabs und AMP Einstellungen bitte! Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit meiner Risa ST Style Les Paul! Macht weiter so.
@kissing88 but it just sounds like an electric guitar.
They should make a lefty version of it - I'd buy it in a second!
Does the Mahagoni-Version have the same sound? Im seriously thinking of buying one.
Would you need a pick for it? I'm worried you can't use it for common strumming techniques.
Can it be nylon strung? or will this lose the sound when it's played through distortion?
What gauge strings are you using? What is scale length?
what effects pedal did you use?
