Thank you SO MUCH for this!! I purchased a Flight Centurion (Vintage Burst) which I have yet to unbox. When I wrote to Flight asking an unrelated question, in their reply, they recommended your video channel. What a gift this is to be able to learn from you. Thank you again and best wishes. Rachel Shwmae😊 Thank you very much for this video...I have just bought a Flight Pathfinder which was in need of a complete set-up. The intonation at 12th was a disaster 😨 really sharp now it seems much better but I've noticed that the small springs are all crooked, especially the G string one Is it ok or did I mess up? Thank you 🙏
Hi Ely, it’s difficult to tell without seeing the springs. I have just checked my various electric instruments and there are a few crooked springs in amongst them so unless there is another issue I wouldn’t worry too much. We’ll done though for sorting the intonation out. 👍
Hi Rachel, when you're using the gauge to set the string height on the 12th fret, are you measuring from the top of the fret to the bottom of the string or the top? Cheers.
Hello... I'm new here and I know I'm not the 1st to ask but what does Shamai mean? Just bought a kala u bass. Unfortunately the E, A an D strings were so quite and the G so loud it was unplayable. I sent it back and there going to send me another. Looking forward to getting it. Greg in Michigan
Hi Greg, glad to have you here. Shwmae means hello, how are you 👍 I’m glad you are getting your new bass sorted, unfortunately it is a common problem with the piezo pickups.
@UkuleleWales Hello Sent bass back and received new one. Works great. Thay were very good to deal with. My distant relatives on my dad's side are from Wales. Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
Hi, I’m a beginner so this is a stupid question (I think): Does the string action height affect the tuning? And also does it affect the sound of the uke?
No, not a stupid question. In theory the action shouldn’t effect the tuning but it will also depend on how hard you need to press the strings down. With the bridges / saddles on these it is possibly to adjust both action and intonation if it is needed.

Yeah sorry if thats my fault. You raised the saddle not lowered. Easy mistake
No I’m glad you pointed it out but I’d already thought about it the day after. I had to correct it as I wasn’t happy giving out wrong info. 🤞
