What a wonderful group of people. I have been in awe of seahorses since a child and have always seen them as very special. Watching this video was a validation of just how beautiful and special they are. It's saddens me to see how these animals are becoming extinct and to see the destruction of other sea animals and corals. We need to include the protection of sealife into a global awareness and implement strict sealife protection laws worldwide. God bless all the people doing this work and our sea animals. 🙏🐠
By the by... the fact that 3919 viewers before me have watched this wonderful endeavour of this amazing group of people, and only 52 (including myself) could be even bothered to give it a thumbs up is well and truly beyond me (and don't get me started on the troglodytes who voted it down; seriously?)! No wonder these magical little critters are at risk of extinction...
Hi I am Tamer from Egypt. Ismailia, in the middle of the Suez Canal, is very interested in seahorses and would like to cultivate it for trade and export I want to provide technical support and participate in providing technical and technological services to preserve this beautiful object Thanks Tamer
What happens is when legislation comes up to curtail any reductions in the amounts of taking anything, be it coral, be it sea horses, be it yellow tangs etc… those lawmakers get many visits from lobbyists that make a lot of money from lobbying their clients wants and needs and greeds… and if you think that those lobby groups don’t have an impact ask yourself why they make such a huge amount of money for what they do? The other issue i believe that is a huge problem is that folks see these beautiful creatures from the ocean and they want to own some of that beauty… for some folks it’s statice or some other reason for wanting one but they don’t take the steps to educate themselves on the fishes history, habitat, special needs or any of the things that that creature might need to survive and in the event something goes wrong what are the best things to do… they are just totally ignorant ( not meant in a derogatory way) because they they have no experience or enough education about the animal they are interested in… It’s rather the same reasoning why you wouldn’t buy a dog breed that is used for herding sheep, to come live with you in a one bedroom apartment or flat while you are at work all day… the dog would be miserable because they need a job and a lot of exercise otherwise they get bored and pick up bad habits like chewing things because their needs aren’t met… is it a bad dog? No… is it the right choice for that environment? No… Is the owner a bad person? No, just not as educated or informed as they needed to be to make a good choice for both parties the owner and the pet… imho Love and hugs
highly respect these folk but the first? highly controversial statement, some of us bred them over a decade ago :/ :) Amazing how this has such low view count considering we are inthe middle of our green movement.

Freshwater hobbyists are much better at breeding fish than the saltwater hobbyists
Cool
Game wardens in other states strictly enforce fishing laws. Why isn't Hawaii doing this?
