Sam Moores that’s a tough one mate, both awesome. Evora is better for touring but all and all i still prefer the most aggressive of cars so i’ll take the Exige. When i’m 40+ it might swing back to the Evora. I’m still happy with my 420hp turbocharged Elise and 73 3.6 powered 911 :)
This Vid ( IMHO) is a breath of fresh air. Having seen you accompanying some of your fellow car based RUclipsrs that I have been subscribed to for some years now, this makes me wonder why I haven't subscribed to your channel earlier. Not taking anything away from their individual and sometimes quite seemingly scripted formulae, this pushed lots of my happy buttons. You, like many of them are obviously quite succsessful in your own right. From an ageing working class Northern lad, to an obviously fairly well off, dare I say, " upper middle class " ( I hate class stereotyping ) but seemingly genuine fella, you come across as somebody who has a genuine interest in the raw ingredients of the subject, rather than the bragging rights ( unlike a quite rude and often offensive bearded show off who's name I won't mention. Anyway, great Little vid, I hope to enjoy many more.
Hey Dave, I'd like to say an honest "Thank You" for writing this comment. It is really nice to hear sincere positive feedback from someone when a lot of people leap to negatives straight away. From my end I put an extremely large amount of effort into creating videos like this and one of the main reasons I keep doing it is reading comments from people like yourself. Thanks again and hope you have a great day.
glad you did this one , one the track I remember you were a bit fighting with the steering (made me think the car needed a limited slip urgently).. here's is all ok, fun and safe
The race for massive power...why bother..my Evora 410 is plenty fast enough and Sam is obviously having fantastic fun on a B Road...think before you follow the heard and buy Porsche
Been loving your Lotus content. Curious if you played with the various traction control settings. IIRC, it has a pretty sophisticated Bosch system with a lot of variability. Chris Harris did a video with the V6 Exige when it first came out in 2012 and was raving about how good the TC was (he was at Hethel in the rain).
I tried them all out but didn’t have much time tbh when I was at hethel. It goes on, super loose, then the race setting which is all about going as fast as possible. I ended up in “all off” at the track. On the road I just tried normal and sport. Sorry that wasn’t a very useful response 😂. In short, it’s quite trick. Not very adjustable like an amg gtr dial for example
People that havnt driven a gt3 always want to own one without knowing its for the ego. The fun comes from being fast and the feeling of control near the limit. A GT3 will get you going faster down a B road than you can handle the consequences of failure. Great for the track, wasted on the road. This 410 is perfect for our UK roads

not easy to get in and get out from car and steering is vvvv heavy u cannot park in this car ..just drive straight its only for track its strong fast but there is cayman gt4 or gts is same power more comfortabke for daily use😊
Porsche is so overrated. They're fast but aren't true driver cars. Fanboys have overhyped Porsche. Porsche is the Apple of the automotive industry. People buy it because it's popular and overhyped.
@@zarbon700 really..., Porsche has made some of the best drivers cars of all time, couple that with precision engineering, reliability and decent pricing. What more can you ask for.
@@sammooresphoto You definitely fell victim to the hype. Modern Porsche cars are not true driver's cars mainly due to its steering rack providing poor road feel and feedback, especially when compared to a Lotus. They sacrifice road feel and feedback for easy steering. Porsche cars are better at straight line speed rather than being highly agile around corners. They often understeer when pushed hard.
@@zarbon700 I never said modern anywhere in my reply. Carrera GT is one of the all time greats. Exige. I don't like the looks of the Evora. Reminds me of the early 90s Bugatti.
@@000GunterGabriel000 unfortunately the Evora doesn't do it for me looks wise either. Completely new design styling coming next week tho.

So much nicer than a cayman

You’re brave going that hard on those conditions! I’d have an Exige 410 over a lot of good cars.

Omg did anybody even notice how gorgeous it looks in the back between the seats?
You can see the throttle body actuators working perfectly *__*

I owned an Elise for 3 years. Handling is insane. Truly amazing.

Even 410 could be too much for the roads imo. Maybe 350 is the sweet spot.
We herd you
@John Mitchell Agree, but also a 2000kg/400HP car is not as good as a 1000kg/200HP car.
I really want one. The fact that you can see the throttle pulling in your rear view mirror 🪞
People should have more the chance for testdriving a lotus.
Sam why do you get to drive Lotus cars. Are they lent to you or do you buy them? Thanks.
