Nayeon - escaping the pressure of walls closing in and choosing to walk her own path Jeongyeon - breaking free from pressure of constantly being watched Momo - taking control by being behind the camera Sana - breaking free from the pressure of beauty standards Mina - feeling trapped and being able to be free to speak for her own Jihyo - breaking free from societal standards of how she must look and act as an idol Dahyun - being confident and walking through the chaos Chaeyoung - painting a different picture and literally flying away Tzuyu - burning the strings thats binding her on keeping a certain idol image These are beautiful and reminds me so much of some of their other title track songs like Perfect World, Fake and True and especially Feel Special who have personal meanings for each member!
This is really interesting actually! It made me think about how I see the MV, I personally see the girls set free in different categories: Creativity, Beauty Standards and Escape. Nayeon and Jihyo are escaping from the expectations of idol life, Mina, Sana and Tzuyu are setting themselves free from the need to live up to enveloping beauty standards, and Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung and Momo are taking their creativity into their own hands. I think Dahyun is in a category of her own.
I think it's meaningful that Jihyo's breaking free is in a car. She's said before that she loves being behind the wheel. Granted, she's not driving in this, but I think the symbolism is still there.
Twice literally never failed to amazed me, even on their 8th year they stay humble and very kind, he 9 girls treat each member as a family and they love each other so much, im so proud of my Queens
once through the ears and once through the eyes is the meaning behind twices name, they will charm you with both senses. and this is exactly what they did with this comeback. I love this song and the whole album, a no skip for sure. the outfit, the choreo, their voices, everything was just perfect, and all of them got lines😍😍 I also like the concept of this MV. it starts with camera rolling sound which I see as twices journey til now, and then jeongyeon with the set me free tape and then camera roll closed sound and ending credit, so this is the ending of "old and controlled" twice , thats why they watching themselves and then explosion and twice running away and are free ... maybe I'm reaching here but I love it
That base line is so addictive! I like how the song sounds a bit retro, almost like disco but all the outfits are very much lastest trends. This is going on my playlist immediately

yeah so it would be great if they gave her screen time to compensate for her lack of lines since she basically had the same lines as momo but momo was more memorable because she appeared earlier and had more screen time

i dont get it. there songs are really doll to me idk why. dont give me wrong i dont hate on them they are all talented and pretty but the music not so much. i can´t remember the cores of the songs. and that used to be standard in kpop. even if you dont like the song it somehow finds a way into your brain to stay. but with twice i have not found a single song i like and can remember. maybe it´s just a preference but it´s still a little strange for me.
