New Orly colorpass subscriber and Surrealist was my first collection. Blown away!!! Definitely set some high expectations for future releases. Glad to know I was not alone in this! ILNP's Harvest collection was my #1, loved ALL of those shades so much. Orly's Impressionist spring collection was my #2. While I didn't like all of the Surrealist colors enough to buy the whole collection, I've enjoyed wearing the two I did get (Stop the Clock and Metamorphosis) and I thought the collection as a whole really represented the Surrealist theme so very well. I enjoyed seeing what Orly did with the Art theme for the year.
I'm so happy ILNP's golden hour collection made it into the list! When they came out, I was so in love with how they absolutely NAILED the golden hour/sunset theme! They somehow managed to impress me although none of these polishes are my favorite colors. Good as gold is so pretty, definitely my favorite from the collection although I love every single polish. Also, ILNP as a whole really killed it this year with their collections! Their splashed collection was so fun, and I also loved their fall collection too which had some of my favorite shades in them as well! Overall, there isn't a collection of ILNP this year that I wasn't a fan of. So kudos to their team! My honorable mention would also be the KBshimmer Lounge set collection. I am personally not a fan of spring collections, but I really liked that one surprisingly.
The golden hour colection was what brought me back to nailpolish instead of gel sets! They're still my favorite colors and the ones I wear the most. Only have Afterlight and Whisper, but I think I'm gonna get sundown or Amber too!

Oh gosh thank you haha! I think most people assume it only takes as long as the video shows but I do spend around 10-12 hours on each video haha! It gets to be time consuming. But I really enjoy it, it's just so much fun to experience the different kinds of polishes!!

Love this series I was waiting for this one. Love what Orly did this year too, and ILNP fulfilled all my orange fantasies because their fall collection was amazing too. I knew metamorphosis was going to get a mention 😆
Of course the first place is a fall collection ! And rightfully so as they truly were beautiful and fall is the best season 😂 I also like to make resolutions as life goals of what i want for myself, and doing more fitness/workout is definetely one as i am tired of being so weak (physically of course 😂)
Great picks Kelli! I too was jelly obsessed this year so Cirque came out on top w/ me, esp. the Cosmic Discotheque collection, which had my heart this year. So glowy, dimensional, and colorful, and since I unabashedly love disco music and its sparkly fashions, it was totally a 'me' collection 😊ILNP's Harvest & Golden Hour, KB Shimmer's Just Add Water, and ORLY's Breathable Island Hopping collections were also favorites. Loved the color stories on those.
I loved splashed! I don't buy many full collections but that was one of them. The glitter is a lot though. Orly In The Spirit was my favorite, I only got three of them but I want to wear them constantly. The colors are beautiful and the formula is the best.
I have the Orly and ILNP collections you included. As much as I like them, my favorite of the year was ILNP’s Autumn collection. In The Spirit was probably tied for second with Splash. I did not really love the Surrealist collection, but I ended up liking the neutrals in that set a LOT more when using them with the toppers from your Witching Hour collab (which maybe wins the award for most FUN collection of the year in my book).
The last couple years instead of making resolutions for myself I have chosen a word or theme to focus on for the year. In 2023 my theme is "nourish". I want to focus on nourishing my body with nutrient-dense foods and movement, nourishing my mind with good books and meditation/mindfulness and nourishing my soul with kindness and time spent with loved ones. I'm actually really excited about it 🥰.
@Kelli Marissa Balance is a good choice! Last year my word was "flexibility". It started out mostly about actual physical flexibility but I ended up expanding it to being more flexible mentally, which was challenging but good for me. Flexibility might be a good concept to keep in mind with your balance goals 🥰

Your witching hour has to be my favorite because it was the only one that I really like every color in it! So many other sets had beautiful colors but I never liked every color. I do have several of the ones mentioned. 😁
I loved (and bought) the Orly "In the Spirit" collection. Surrealist had polishes I could dupe from my stash so I only picked up the shade Dynamism. Rock on, Orly!
I would buy all of your nail polishes if I was rich lol. I already have a few. You are very honest and fair in your reviews so it is fair to mention your collaboration in your videos. I think people can tell when someone is just selling them product, over time it becomes obvious. If you could separate your collections next time so toppers are separate that would help a ton. I couldn't justify buying the witching hour collection right now because I only wanted the jellies. I don't wear any of the toppers I have. Please keep making jellies, they are my favorite kind of nail polish too!
some of my favorite polishes from this year are from these collections haha!! i was obsessed with groove thing from cirque and the surrealist collection too (i also love surrealist art, and La Trahison des Images is my absolute fav piece by magritte so i had to get ceci n'est pas blanc and it's actually a really lovely color) but i think my absolute fav collection was starrily's fall collection? i got crunchy leaves, sleepy hollow, and fireflies and they're all so unique and lovely.
Your Orly collab is so much fun, I'll be using the black jelly as part of my NYE mani! My fave collection of the year has to be The Lounge Set from KBShimmer, every polish from that collection is so much fun

As far as complete collections...the only complete collection I bought this season was Witching Hour. I love it, you did a great job with Orly. There were several others that I liked but only 1 I bought in entirety. Go ahead toot your own horn, job well done.

Your Orly Witching Hour collab was the first collection I ever bought, and both my boyfriend and I loved it! I am a little surprised Mooncat's Hocus Pocus collection didn't rank... to me, they were all very unique collors/formulas.

For me, the China Glaze Jurassic World Dominion was the best, followed by the Orly In the Spirit. They are the only collections that I bought the complete set for.
Orly's Surrealist Collection is the only collection I bought this year, pretty much for the reasons you stated - brilliant color story, with a good mix of classic yet unique cremes and stunning shimmers. China Glaze's Jurassic World Collab is another collection I have my eye on, specifically the Olive to Roar and Preserved in Amber polishes. Dark rainbow from Holo taco xD. It’s my favorite brand. Still have to buy your witching hour. Resolution for me is get my nerves back on my left hand. I know it’s simple but I think that’s what can kick me into gear so I can play games and type a lot more simple.
The golden hour was definitely my favorite. I bought it as soon as I finished your review. I almost said your collaboration from LOUD Lacquer but I'm sure that's going to be in a different video (I'm behind and catching up on your videos).
I’m currently wearing metamorphosis on my nails! 😍 I agree with just always wanting to wear it, I was going to do fancy NYE nails and as I went to paint them, instead just used this color and did a subtle gold firework on my ring fingers. It’s so pretty!
i’m kinda surprised i have at least one polish from each of your top collections (except for the cirque one but i have one on a wishlist). ILNP was so good this year, and while i love that Golden Hour magnetic, i think i would put their Harvest collection just ahead of it, as i legit had to narrow down which of those to buy from it as all were so pretty. love that the Jurassic World collection got a spot. i love Preserved in Amber, and also needed a grey polish at the time, so what better than one with the Jurassic logo on it (i’m a huge fan of the franchise!)
Honestly I'm surprised at myself for not putting the Harvest collection in here LOL. That was an absolute stunner. But I just couldn't stop wearing those summer shades so I knew in my heart they won haha!
I just love your choices I really love ORLY and ILNP. I have yet to try some of the others. I'm sad to say the I Scream Nails Collection is no longer available and 4 of the Polishes are sold out!! Still with that you have left us with many others and more from the Polish Brands Mentioned. I made a wish list!! I would love to try Magnetic Polish but don't know which one is best for us beginners (AKA Polish Virgins) ;o) or who has the best formulas. Any suggestions? Also, since you are the lover of Green Nail Polish. I was wondering who has the most interesting Green Polish something eye catching but easy to apply? ohhh my gosh that jurassic world collection, i saw it get so much hate literally everywhere else on the internet but i also loved it so im delighted it made your list! my absolute favorite from it is the preserved in amber shade. i really hope the reception that collection got isn't what made china glaze pull it back and play it safe
Honestly I'm shocked that people would hate it! I know it's funky but even when I don't specificaly love something, I always appreciate an out of the box idea so I always want to applaud it (but in this case they really were gorgeous LOL!)

I was surprised that Cirque or KB Shimmer didn't make the list. Or Mooncat. Or Holo Taco. But to be honest, with the ones you did choose, how could you beat them? 2022 was a great year for nail polish. I got so many new collections. And I am so excited!! For Christmas, my husband got me 2 wall nail polish organizers!!! So I explained I would need more nail polish to make it look right. He just smiled. My daughters bought me more nail polish. But I am over the moon this year. I have room for about 400 more polishes!!!! Also, your collaboration deserves to be on the list. 100%. Golden Hour is probably my favorite collection. That one just blew me away.

So I figured why not do a series that consists of your favorite 10 (19, 11, 12, or whatever) of each brand? For example, “My Top 10 OPI Shades of All Time,” “My Top (fill in the blank) Cirque Colors of All Time.” Just an idea for you from one polish lover to another. Btw…you’re amazing!

When you find a polish that you are just obsessed with do you buy more bottles? I usually do because I know they won't be around long so I'll buy two to four more of the same polish. Hi Mindi! Jelly is just a type of finish for nail polish (think like how "shimmer" or "holo" are used to describe colors!) It can be in a gel formula (which always requires a lamp to cure) or in a regular lacquer formula (which dries by air!) In my case, I mostly use regular lacquer and all of my favorites are that - lacquer that dries by air! One easy way to tell is if a polish is in a clear bottle, it doesn't require a lamp to cure. Otherwise it would harden because the light would go through the glass haha! Hope that helps.

Love this series I was waiting for this one. Love what Orly did this year too, and ILNP fulfilled all my orange fantasies because their fall collection was amazing too. I knew metamorphosis was going to get a mention 😆

Discotheque is definitely my favorite for the year - Groove Thing is far and away my most used polish this year. So so so good.
Cirque really knows how to make a chartreuse polish, every one they release is a stunner!!
Great picks Kelli! I too was jelly obsessed this year so Cirque came out on top w/ me, esp. the Cosmic Discotheque collection, which had my heart this year. So glowy, dimensional, and colorful, and since I unabashedly love disco music and its sparkly fashions, it was totally a 'me' collection 😊ILNP's Harvest & Golden Hour, KB Shimmer's Just Add Water, and ORLY's Breathable Island Hopping collections were also favorites. Loved the color stories on those.

I loved splashed! I don't buy many full collections but that was one of them. The glitter is a lot though. Orly In The Spirit was my favorite, I only got three of them but I want to wear them constantly. The colors are beautiful and the formula is the best.

I have the Orly and ILNP collections you included. As much as I like them, my favorite of the year was ILNP’s Autumn collection. In The Spirit was probably tied for second with Splash. I did not really love the Surrealist collection, but I ended up liking the neutrals in that set a LOT more when using them with the toppers from your Witching Hour collab (which maybe wins the award for most FUN collection of the year in my book).

The last couple years instead of making resolutions for myself I have chosen a word or theme to focus on for the year. In 2023 my theme is "nourish". I want to focus on nourishing my body with nutrient-dense foods and movement, nourishing my mind with good books and meditation/mindfulness and nourishing my soul with kindness and time spent with loved ones. I'm actually really excited about it 🥰.

@Kelli Marissa Balance is a good choice! Last year my word was "flexibility". It started out mostly about actual physical flexibility but I ended up expanding it to being more flexible mentally, which was challenging but good for me. Flexibility might be a good concept to keep in mind with your balance goals 🥰

Your witching hour has to be my favorite because it was the only one that I really like every color in it! So many other sets had beautiful colors but I never liked every color. I do have several of the ones mentioned. 😁
I loved (and bought) the Orly "In the Spirit" collection. Surrealist had polishes I could dupe from my stash so I only picked up the shade Dynamism. Rock on, Orly!
Dynamism was from the Futurist collection, not Surrealist. Just FYI, you know, in case you want to get more. LOL

I would buy all of your nail polishes if I was rich lol. I already have a few. You are very honest and fair in your reviews so it is fair to mention your collaboration in your videos. I think people can tell when someone is just selling them product, over time it becomes obvious.
If you could separate your collections next time so toppers are separate that would help a ton. I couldn't justify buying the witching hour collection right now because I only wanted the jellies. I don't wear any of the toppers I have. Please keep making jellies, they are my favorite kind of nail polish too!

some of my favorite polishes from this year are from these collections haha!! i was obsessed with groove thing from cirque and the surrealist collection too (i also love surrealist art, and La Trahison des Images is my absolute fav piece by magritte so i had to get ceci n'est pas blanc and it's actually a really lovely color) but i think my absolute fav collection was starrily's fall collection? i got crunchy leaves, sleepy hollow, and fireflies and they're all so unique and lovely.
Your Orly collab is so much fun, I'll be using the black jelly as part of my NYE mani!
My fave collection of the year has to be The Lounge Set from KBShimmer, every polish from that collection is so much fun

I completely agree with you! I loved the Orly releases this year and purchased Metamorphosis based on your rec. Also bought some of the Jurrasic pieces based on your recs, especially love the Amber. As far as complete collections...the only complete collection I bought this season was Witching Hour. I love it, you did a great job with Orly. There were several others that I liked but only 1 I bought in entirety. Go ahead toot your own horn, job well done.

Your Orly Witching Hour collab was the first collection I ever bought, and both my boyfriend and I loved it! I am a little surprised Mooncat's Hocus Pocus collection didn't rank... to me, they were all very unique collors/formulas.

For me, the China Glaze Jurassic World Dominion was the best, followed by the Orly In the Spirit. They are the only collections that I bought the complete set for.

Orly's Surrealist Collection is the only collection I bought this year, pretty much for the reasons you stated - brilliant color story, with a good mix of classic yet unique cremes and stunning shimmers. China Glaze's Jurassic World Collab is another collection I have my eye on, specifically the Olive to Roar and Preserved in Amber polishes. I’m currently wearing metamorphosis on my nails! 😍 I agree with just always wanting to wear it, I was going to do fancy NYE nails and as I went to paint them, instead just used this color and did a subtle gold firework on my ring fingers. It’s so pretty!

i’m kinda surprised i have at least one polish from each of your top collections (except for the cirque one but i have one on a wishlist). ILNP was so good this year, and while i love that Golden Hour magnetic, i think i would put their Harvest collection just ahead of it, as i legit had to narrow down which of those to buy from it as all were so pretty.
love that the Jurassic World collection got a spot. i love Preserved in Amber, and also needed a grey polish at the time, so what better than one with the Jurassic logo on it (i’m a huge fan of the franchise!)
Honestly I'm surprised at myself for not putting the Harvest collection in here LOL. That was an absolute stunner. But I just couldn't stop wearing those summer shades so I knew in my heart they won haha!
I just love your choices I really love ORLY and ILNP. I have yet to try some of the others. I'm sad to say the I Scream Nails Collection is no longer available and 4 of the Polishes are sold out!! Still with that you have left us with many others and more from the Polish Brands Mentioned. I made a wish list!! I would love to try Magnetic Polish but don't know which one is best for us beginners (AKA Polish Virgins) ;o) or who has the best formulas. Any suggestions? Also, since you are the lover of Green Nail Polish. I was wondering who has the most interesting Green Polish something eye catching but easy to apply? The think everybody’s favorite this year was Orly’s Surrealist collection. I bought 3 of them; which is rare for me to do in any one collection.
ohhh my gosh that jurassic world collection, i saw it get so much hate literally everywhere else on the internet but i also loved it so im delighted it made your list! my absolute favorite from it is the preserved in amber shade. i really hope the reception that collection got isn't what made china glaze pull it back and play it safe
Honestly I'm shocked that people would hate it! I know it's funky but even when I don't specificaly love something, I always appreciate an out of the box idea so I always want to applaud it (but in this case they really were gorgeous LOL!)

I was surprised that Cirque or KB Shimmer didn't make the list. Or Mooncat. Or Holo Taco. But to be honest, with the ones you did choose, how could you beat them? 2022 was a great year for nail polish. I got so many new collections. And I am so excited!! For Christmas, my husband got me 2 wall nail polish organizers!!! So I explained I would need more nail polish to make it look right. He just smiled. My daughters bought me more nail polish. But I am over the moon this year. I have room for about 400 more polishes!!!! Also, your collaboration deserves to be on the list. 100%. Golden Hour is probably my favorite collection. That one just blew me away.

A jelly polish is one that's a bit sheer and super shiny, sort of like jelly/jello!

Hey Kelli! I have a video series idea for you (if you or someone else hasn’t thought of if it already). I love and miss the “My Favorite…” series. So I figured why not do a series that consists of your favorite 10 (19, 11, 12, or whatever) of each brand? For example, “My Top 10 OPI Shades of All Time,” “My Top (fill in the blank) Cirque Colors of All Time.” Just an idea for you from one polish lover to another. Btw…you’re amazing!

Hi Kelli! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I can't decide which collection I like best. There were just too many beautiful polishes. When you find a polish that you are just obsessed with do you buy more bottles? I usually do because I know they won't be around long so I'll buy two to four more of the same polish. Could you please explain the difference between jellies, gel and lacquer. Do you need the light for all jellies and gel?
Hi Mindi! Jelly is just a type of finish for nail polish (think like how "shimmer" or "holo" are used to describe colors!) It can be in a gel formula (which always requires a lamp to cure) or in a regular lacquer formula (which dries by air!) In my case, I mostly use regular lacquer and all of my favorites are that - lacquer that dries by air! One easy way to tell is if a polish is in a clear bottle, it doesn't require a lamp to cure. Otherwise it would harden because the light would go through the glass haha! Hope that helps.
