Bastion's hitbox is huge. It's easy to kill him anyway.
don’t forget the 20% damage reduction from Ironclad and the 30% damage reduction from his Armor HP

I’m glad to hear that you’re pro 6v6 Raider. Like basically every excuse has been stripped away from 5v5 in this game and this season 9 patch epitomizes that perfectly.
I host 6v6 with custom game changes made to all most everyone except tracer and widow every week. People I have played have had much more fun playing my 6v6 than they have playing 5v5 (Including myself). 6v6 (Particularly RQ) just feels like peak OW even with OW 2 heroes due the greater freedom in gameplay expecially for Tanks, and you don’t have the pressure of having to do a lot of things by yourself since people tend to utilize more teamwork in 6v6 than they do in 5v5. Even as a support main, 6v6 is much more fun and it is less demanding for Supports to be overpowered in order for the game to function properly as 5v5 demands for Supports to be broken on a fundamental level because if they weren’t, dive characters would just kill entire backlines with ease since there is no Off-Tank to peel for them like there would be in 6v6.

In-terms of my balance philosophy. I focused on buffing Higher Skill-based heroes like Ana, Ashe, Doom, DVA, Genji, IMO Hanzo, Rein, and Winton where they would feel better to play with and reward players for knowing how to play those heroes than they would if they were playing 5v5 and toning down most Lower Skill-based heroes like Mei, Junkrat, Sym, and Bastion in the effort to balance the skill-reward ratio between those heroes and the ones I mentioned before.
I also worked on making Dive Meta in my lobby, since that and Brawl is what most players have fun with so I made SLIGHT buffs to certain heroes like Brig to help mitigate the strength of Dive without making Anti-Dive characters like her even more busted.
Supports for the most part except Zen and Moria have been reworked to feel more fun to play with while at the same time Universally Nerfed in terms of their healing received having been reduced by 5% due to their passive being HELLA Busted.
Some works like Kiri and Mercy were buffed and nerfed due to 6v6 with Kiri having around 180 health, less TP range, 2% less healing dealt, and 2% increase to Ult charge but with a 13 sec Suzu to help players make more Micro decisions with her as I never enjoyed (As a Kiri Main) the 15 sec CD nerf they gave her. (Nade and Dynamite got their CDS reduced to 10secs respectively) If I could remove Immor from Suzu, then the CD would 12.
Mercy; Since I allowed more room for One-Shots like Hanzo with Damg boost being able to One-Shot 250 heroes again, while still allowing Junkrat to be able to do his One-Shot combo, I gave Mercy a 25 sec Rez. She also has .5 sec reduced CD on GA to help her feel more fluid while at the same time her health has been reduced to 174. She is basically more Mobile, but fragile.
Sorry for the long typing, but I wanted to make sure you both understood my thought process when it came to making changes to have characters work in OW. These changes are by no means perfect, but they have been fun so far and I am always willing to take feedback on how I can make characters to feel more fun to play with or give them actual nerfs to their kits. Please let me know how it turns out.😊

I havent made top 500, yet even I would never say to the life of me, that Deflect, Wraith, is just as powerful as Suzu or Biotic Field is Stronger than Suzu.

Them not even putting 6v6 in arcade isn't because of ego. It's because it doesn't work without significant balance changes anymore. With how tanks are balanced right now, two of them would roll through every other role every single game. I'm all for 6v6 coming back but it's because there's a ton of work involved now to make it happen even in arcade that they don't do it.
@@ashonline77 dude all the balancing has already been done. Just revert everything to the october 2020 patch and then add new heroes and tweak their numbers. I don't see a single problem here. It's literally 2 days of work for one person, a team of however many there are devs can do that and way more in a week. NO EXCUSES!

@@ashonline77 I mean sombra doesn't need much tweaking. Hog just needs a nerf across the board, nothing crazy. Same for doom and orisa. And obviously rein should go back to his ow1 state. Like it's really not hard, even for a single person. But they have a team designated to do this. Which is why there should be zero excuses when it comes to 6v6, balance, etc., you name it.

Bro I played sigma some days ago and they had a sombra, it was worse than any beam character (individually i mean) because either my grasp gets cancelled or my ult gets cancelled like Sombra is just there waiting to right click me and I know I can't do anything about it, then finally once she hacked one of my dps I ulted and got empd, oh well

If my choices are potentially living with double shield from time to time...or living with ONE tank, I'm taking the risk of double shield. Because at least the risk of potential double shield means I don't have to worry about having to make a full retreat because our ONLY tank got the Team Rocket treatment because the enemy is running some BS combo like Bastion/Echo and is basically just Ctrl+Alt+Deleting my tank.
As someone who also used to rotate back and forth between Support and Tank at Plat/Diamond, I have completely sworn off playing tank altogether because it's nothing but misery. Playing tank is not fun and hasn't been fun since Overwatch 1. In fact, I vaguely remember Jeff Kaplan talking in the behind the scenes or their dev talk or whatever, about ideas that they played around with, but ultimately scrapped because it just did not work...and you wanna know what those ideas were? Valkyrie and any other combination of players on either team. They tried 1/2/2, didn't work, they tried 2/1/2, didn't work, they even tried 2/2/1, guess what? Didn't work. The game only works consistently if you have 2 of each role on either team (obviously there are outliers, certain players on teams can make it work on occasion). Because there was a reason things like 3v3 were purely in Elimination and not the regular roster and even 4v4 is still an Elimination/Deathmatch format.
Spot on with a lot of stuff here. If they refuse to go back to 6v6 because they literally cannot handle saying "we're wrong about this.." its going to be saddening to see how hard this game will plummet the next year.

Ngl all your points are valid. I tried giving the game another chance this last week and I only needed two games to prove to me that the balance is still shit and rightfully uninstalled it. If the devs aren’t gonna put in the effort to make a balanced game, I’m not going through the effort of playing their game.

I wanted to keep playing to earn ow coins and get S9 battlepass just because I really wanted genji's mythic, but I can't bring myself to play this shit anymore, nothing makes sense, the game rarely feels satisfying, the community is dogshit. It's just like league, I have no reason to play it, except in league I can play whatever I want, it's sad, but at least now I'm enjoying my time with other games like deep rock galactic, Gotham knights, it feels good to play a game that was actually designed to be fun

The wildest thing about the patches are you can read them and instantly think of a handful of heroes who are going to be disproportionately bugged by the changes. It’s insane that the devs haven’t even considered them.
Hanzo is dead unless his one shots back
Tracer although the buff to her hp only does 220 per mag so she's now more reliant on hitting all shots with added crits
Junk Rat is also dead
Mei will be absolutely devastating to play against 300hp?
Soldier will just stay in backline spray his gun to proc that dps passive
Genji got a massive buff from throwing wet noodles to dry rice grains and his ult needs 3 hits to kill anyone apart from widow tracer etc..

I love Overwatch 2 and I’ve been an Overwatch fanboy for years now. And even though I’m one of the people who tends to defend the devs with certain subjects, you’re right, the balance cannot be defended whatsoever. Instead of addressing the community’s issues with the balance, they will dance around the problems rather than just addressing them head on. We saw this with Sojourn back in 2022, We asked for railgun nerfs, instead they nerf her primary fire and energy rate instead of just going the easy route and simply nerfing railgun damage. We saw this with supports only a few season ago, we asked for healing nerfs, and they instead nerf cooldowns. Season 9’s patch has gotta be the biggest professionally choreographed broadway level dance-around ever, rather than simply nerfing overall damage and heals like we’ve asked, they’re instead making major changes to the core gameplay as a whole.
The core gameplay of overwatch was built for 6v6. Ever since they took that away the balance has been in shambles

I agree so much with the point of creating characters that are the same as old ones but just better. Perfect example is literally Ramattra: Sigma shield, long range, short range, Omni form, can literally stop any kind of movement with vortex, blocks off damage better and longer than doom with his 2 second block or how long it is AND can easily be played as dive,poke and brawl

I feel kinda called out about the playing slow part (I'm just in gold atm), I play a lot of ana and zen, I walk very slowly lol so it can be hard to keep track of my tank if they're playing ball or doom, or genjis will cut my los often to dive and I can't heal them as ana. But idc man, my tank picked ball, he can be bottom 5 on the whatever tier list but I'm gonna make sure I help him do ball things

Some Tanks are defensive and some tanks are meant to play aggressive but no matter what tank you play your team will always get messed up by that one counter depending on the tank you picked.
At least, at certain maps you can still beat your counter, like D.va and Zarya.
But what are you supposed to do when the ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM is countering you. At least with double tanks this can me mitigated.
Man, when I lost to a team that I was smashing just because everyone decided to counter me, I felt so bad.

i was fighting a mercy-pocketed-soldier and watched as my health went down whilst the soldier never went below 25% health
The 6v6 portion of the video and all defending points of 6v6 were another level of juicy
They really buffed matchmaking to do a compensation nerf on gameplay.
The funny thing about Double Barrier is that they eventually created Junker Queen and Ramattra who would've countered Double Barrier anyways.

Ever since I found this channel, all it’s been is funny toxicity and non-stop facts, 2 things that I really love.
The real problem imo is that a lot of these NPC OW players who steel man for the Blizz devs...
They refuse to do critical thinking and only look at the game at the surface level without REALLY taking into account the finer details.
The only way you can make them understand is forcing them to think outside of their narrow neuropath ways.
That's impossible when they don't want to think hard bc it hurts just like them tryna reach a new PR lifting.
They're not enticed to use their brain.
So the brain just doesn't work. 😊

I feel like support is going to be unplayable after this patch unless you’re a Zen or Lucio player, which sucks for me. I’m worried this will kill all my enjoyment for the game which sucks because I’m excited to see the new maps gamemodes and characters they have planned for later on this year.

I never complained much about the balance because i always leaned on mystery heroes but with the bigger hitboxes and more health for everyone, this game looks like an even bigger chore to play.
