He is probably one of the best Korean actors I have ever watched! The emotions he is able to portray is unmatched. I am also enjoying watching Shin Se Kyung for the first time. I hope to seem them in future Netflix series!

#ChoJungseok is always great in his roles but this one is exceptional; he really exudes power in this role. His battle of words with the Dowager Queen are always so clever. Loving the series very much.
Cho Jung-Sok's acting is simply sensational. It is refined, bold and firm but also torn, sensitive and vulnerable. As I have been watching Korean dramas for many years this was one of the most refined performances I have seen so far. I don't know how he did it but hats off to him.
After watching K drama for the last 10 years, I have rarely stumped upon such a good actor as Jo. I looked at his background, he started with theatre. I really think this matters a lot. He is so much more of a seasoned actor that other men starring on K dramas. Huge difference.
He is a very fine singer. Have you seen him in Hospital Playlist?
Yep. Many of the best Korean actors are theater trained, and a huge number of the older ones (50 and above were theater trained, and it shows).

i absolutely love this series and wanted a second season. Outstanding performances by the cast. Such beauty with the cinematography and locations. So much emotion as well. Totally loved this series - highly recommended.
That one scene he was asking why she'd come back was unforgettable, i literally stopped breathing. Watched that scene 10 times and their acting, just wow. Also their dialogues were really well-written too, i had to read the subs 2 times to understand their allusive sentences.

Shin Sae Kyeong is so freaking gorgeous and beautiful. She is also a very versatile and excellent actress. Love Cho Jung -Seok too. He is a great actor and their chemistry is so good for this show. Can't wait for the remaining 6 episodes!

The whole cast was amazing, but Junseok was superb. His portrayal of the king was so charismatic, not to mention compelling. Beautiful leading lady. The grand prince stole my heart, incredible child actor. Great drama all around 🤗🎬🍿😍

He is an excellent actor and I was truly impressed with how he portrayed the King with deep emotional content. Episode 13 was absolutely brilliant for me with all the revelations. I had to watch that episode again after seeing the finale. I look forward to seeing him again in other kdramas.

I just finished this drama within four days!! I couldn’t get enough so I watch again! I was even captivated by every episode, that I couldn’t stop. The acting with these two stars was amazing. I love the actress Shin Sae-Kyeong. Seen some of her kdramas. I’m watching this again!!

Have really come to appreciate his acting chops! He is able to portray the personality of a king who has experienced betrayal and intrigue to the extent he is hyper sensitive to anything perceived as betrayal. He is very believable in this character role, and his emotions, and conflicted feelings come through. Very well acted on both of their parts.

I’m not usually into period dramas but watched it because of Cho Jungseok, and I LOVED it. This was my first drama seeing Shin Sekyung and she was also amazing! The whole cast also did a great job! Definitely recommend this drama. Thank you to the whole team for all the hard work🫶🏻
