A couple of corrections and clarifications: “The Hating Game” was not the first movie she had music in; she had a gorgeous version of Charlie Chaplin’s “Smile” in a documentary about a Norwegian poker player. And she has a wonderful cameo in the tv series “Lillehammer,” where she is seen singing “Gloomy Sunday” in a jazz club. And when I talk about her being a “Bond girl” I certainly don’t mean her as one of the women James Bond takes to bed! I’m talking about her singing the opening theme song, like Shirley Bassey with “Diamonds Are Forever.”

I listened to Bad Valentine a lot of times, maybe 11 times or so, before I even noticed that she had her Jordan shoes on. What really caught my attention was the sounds that came out of her mouth. The words. The advanced singing technique few are able to do. Her vocal gymnastics are one of a kind. The shoes, eyes, outfit, hair and all that, doesn't matter when she is what she is, and does what she do. She is a talented artist with great values. Her voice is exceptional. I've never seen a better candidate to becoming the GOAT. Greetings from Norway.

Great video Chris. I know a lot of fans kind of see her as a daughter but some get ridiculously carried away especially on Instgram and TikTok. Not only do they complain about her contacts, they complain about her makeup, what she’s wearing, they say Hollywood has changed her, ruined her. There was a TikTok short video of her with Austin Butler from the Elvis movie from a year and a half ago. So many people had comments about that. Some thought they were dating. (Obviously they weren’t) Some were upset because they thought she might be dating anyone in the first place saying she has changed. Even if she was dating someone, so what. She is a teenager. One good reply was that her family wanted her to have as normal a childhood as possible but a lot of fans don’t want her to have a normal life. I think a lot of fans want her to stay 10-12 years old and can’t handle her growing up.
She is still a warm, humble, caring, family oriented person as she has always been but she is also becoming an adult.
Very correct statements, pjg! It's ridiculous how people try to keep her as the 8 year old granddaughter and on the other hand demand more and "better" content from her. It's valid to have sentimental memories of her 10 years ago, but let her grow and change and let her artistic spirit flow as she wants! As you said, she can wear, style and act however she wants in the first place and second she's an (stage-) artist and vintage style lover. They normally don't go with potatoe sacks... By now we know by proof she's style and class, more than most people will ever achieve in their life. So 99,99% we can be sure she won't be like "those other girls".

She just had a video on TikTok and while I was about to comment, while I was typing the video has been deleted. The video was up for 7 hours and exactly when I was typing it got deleted. That's a coincidence. My point is I didn't check some of the comments, and my guess is that there was a lot of bad comments in order to delete it. The video was of her in London performance with the revealing dress. Which to me it's just fashion, as long as she won't go transparent dress lol, or more revealing than that.

There have been some unnecessarily focused on shoegate, but 99% are just blown away by how good she sounds. Not a surprise, but that is a heck of a song and vocal;) There may be some regency bias, but it might just be my new favorite. To be fair though, it's nearly impossible to pick an Angelina favorite given the ages, venues, etc
Chris, I said she is going to get a fight. No matter who love or likes her. The hate and envy is there. Her singing Jazz all the time. Or the shoes things. It’s all the same crap. People are going to say their crap. Some want her to stay 8 or 10 years old. That’s why you get stalkers.
Excellent thoughts and views, visual and verbal, and 100% agree about the shoes. Hell, I never even noticed their presence until a reactor did and made a comment. And my main reaction then was disappointment in myself. I pride myself in noticing everything about this lovely young lady. But once mentioned I instantly knew there had to be the best of reasons. I know of no one more honorable than this lady of grace, something I wish we all had a lot more of, certainly including myself.

In her announcement on Instagram about the movie, Love Don’t Let Me Go is playing in the background so maybe this is the song used in the movie. We probably should get too excited to not be disappointed . It could just be a snippet playing sidtky in one scene.

Hello Chris. Thank you for bringing us your updates and your thoughtful views on all things Angelina, and not just her singing. Bad Valentine is complete dynamite. It is absolutely brilliant, lyrically, musically, emotionally, dynamically and vocally (of course. It’s Angelina). Angelina’s decision to perform barefoot was made at age 6, in a stunning display of love, empathy and compassion way beyond what would be par for her age. She reaffirmed that stance in Las Vegas, but it is HER choice and if, for whatever reason, she does occasionally perform with shoes, that is also HER choice, made by her for specific reasons at those specific times. In no way whatsoever does this diminish the amazing, beautiful, wonderful human being that she is, and our criticism or speculation is completely pointless and unnecessary.

Angelina wore shoes in her 7th Heaven video. All us grumpy judgmental grandpas could learn to let the girl take her own path.
In the opening scene of the 7th Heaven video you can see her shoes but the scene is supposed to be.rehearsal. Angelina always wears shoes at rehearsals anyway. Later in the video when she’s supposed to be performing you can’t see her feet clearly so she may be barefoot.

I couldn't agree more about the "raunch factor" of the movies presented to Angelina. For that reason, I shy away from Netflix originals.
I reached out to Angel Studios and introduced them to Angelina and they seem very interested. Their most famous release is "The Sound of Freedom" and is a docudrama about a federal agent who quits his job so he can more effectively rescue children from human trafficking.
They also recently released "Cabrini" about the first American saint who established orphanages and hospitals in NYC in the Edwardian era of the robber barons.
So, an angel reached out to Angel Studios promoting our Angel Princess.

Completely agree about the shoe thing. It was Toby's concert and not an occasion for her to have everything her own way. In my opinion, it showed greater character for he to wear her shoes and not take a self-righteous stand on the issue. No shoes in her own concerts when the stage is exclusively hers.
I'm sure the point of performing bare footed is to remind people of the less fortunate. It is not to bring attention to herself. People who criticize should ask themselves, what have they done to help the needy instead of focusing on the symbolism. Angelina has walked the walk with her many charity performances and her song writing. She has inspired many to be be kinder more loving people. I wish we all could could say the same thing in our own lives and professions. Performing barefooted is the reminder, not the act. So instead of wasting time on what AJ does or doesn't do, I try to focus on my own compassion or lack thereof.❤
robert The point is not "to remind PEOPLE of the less fortunate". As she has been quoted as saying on more than one occasion, the reason she performs barefooted is: “I want to remind myself that there are less fortunate people around the world who need help”. “It is a great reminder for me.”
I'm not sure Angelina needs to be reminded of the suffering in this world but I'm pretty sure that many of us do.
In either case, I have been inspired to try to be a more compassionate person by her example.❤️

I know what you're trying to say but she didn't "earn the right" because of what she has accomplished, she was born with the right to live her life as she chooses. Thanks for the video Chris! How a few people and even trolls try to make a big deal about her wearing shoes in the Bad Valentine video was a bit surprising. Like you said, there are many reasons why she had to wear shoes for this particular event, but we really don't know the specific answer. There were some who said she had to because it is a place that serves food. As someone whose family owned a restaurant for many years and had family friends that own restaurants, there is no state or federal laws about this. Also, this does not pertain to hygiene as well. As a place of business, the establishment/venue enforces their own rules and policies that they deem important to them. IF the venue told her to wear shoes, it's probably because they have a Dress Code Policy. I would also lean toward a safety concern as well. Personally, all I know is that if she can perform bare foot, she will. She stated in Las Vegas that being bare foot is a part of her identity and that won't change. I believe her. As for the song Bad Valentine...WOW! This collab with Toby Gad is going to be something to watch!

Thank you for this video, which shows us where you live. It seems that the reason AJ sang "Bad Valentine" in her shoes at the Hôtel Café is because it's forbidden to be barefoot on stage there. The story she tells of her concert in New York is frightening for her. Of course, we know why she sings barefoot, but it's a risk that I sincerely hope will never have dire consequences for her. That would be a shame ! Someone has to check before every concert which way she has to go to the stage.

You are quite right with your remarks about her shoes. One thing people must also remember is Angelina's words before she sang "The Princess of Ruins" where she implies that singing bare feet, is who she is and that's part of her. So, if there is a understandable situation that she has to wear shoes, one can make it known some way or another to her fans and viewers. Other wise, it can be difficult in the future to take her on her word.

I believe this is just a "growth stage" we all are going to have to deal with.... The first time I saw her with shoes on stage was not too long ago - quite some months back - and it caught my attention. The big difference with the BAD VALENTINE video is that a lot more people are seeing it all at the same time, so what caught my Attention a while back for the first time is now hitting a bunch of people for their first time; I think that is the stage many are in right now..... Everyone has their opinion, some just choose to throw it out there without thought. It is easy to jump to conclusions - it is more difficult to slow down and find your way to a more reasoned explanation. There are certain things I feel I DO know about Angelina - one of them is her promise to herself to never forget children in need - that will Never be in Question. 😇Jim

She caught a cold because she was bare feet. Yet she still performed. She was 8. That was a charity thing. I love everything she does, from 2014. December. First time I saw her.
I posted on this when the vid first came out. As you stated there could be a number of reasons for it. I think she has earned our trust and it would take a lot more than this to break it. I will say she is 18 and still makes mistakes like saying always barefoot when introducing her new song in Vegas. Someone experienced at a high level would have known to leave an out esp knowing that it would not be possible 100% of the time.She speaks from her heart so I just consider it an error or different perception on her part so give her a break--I think we all know who she is.
Even if Sara and Meri don't have natural blue eyes, that's their business. And although I love, love, love Angelina's brown eyes, she's a teenager and she has the right to personally express her physical self as she so desires.. Now, about this Bad Valentine.. mind blowing..the bar is raised again and again by this beautiful young woman .. She pulls out all the stops so musically, so intelligently, so expressive with her amazing dynamics.. The consummate artist.. I can't say enough about her voice and what she does with it. I look forward to the day when I can see and hear her again live.

I think the best way to deal with people who make what I would classify as at the very least unwarranted comments is to completely ignor them. The more people respond , the better it is for their algorithm and you have therefore given them the platform that they want. If you ignore them, they get nothing other than posted one line in a channel that is filled with positive comments. ❤❤❤❤👣

Get over it! She is not a 8 year old girl anymore. She is a young woman doing her things - briliantly! And she loves all kinds of music, even some mainstream! But remember that she will always be true to her musical roots!
Have you noticed how people with straight hair want to have wavy or even curly hair - and vice versa. Same goes for hair color and likely a host of other body attributes. People tend to yearn for things they do not have.
By bet is something like that is behind Angelina's piercing blue contacts: She grew up in Norway where blue eyes are predominant, wanting to conform would be only natural. Personally I loved her warm, rather dark brown eyes, but if she wants and CAN have blue eyes, it is her own personal business.

There are instances that being barefeet is not necessary.. And its entirely Angelina's call when to go barefoot or not. Her assurance of being commited to her vow on her Las Vegas concert last February should be enough to erase some people's doubt and concern. Although honestly after following her for more than 5 years now... Im in the point where I honestly dont mind at all if she sings barefeet or not.
Angelina wore shoes in the video of 7th Heaven. Some places have strict rules on wearing shoes as a health and safety policy. No shoes no preform. It has nothing to do to any person who may perform there.
Hi Chris Angelina wore shoes in that video because they told her that was a heavily trafficked area and she should put her keep her shoes on because of all the traffic that came on to that stage that's why she had her shoes on
Angelina wears shoes in rehearsals most of the time. It's only in her own personal videos and concerts she is barefoot. Some think that AJ walks around everywhere barefoot, which is not the case.
True. The host in her interview on the Norwegian talk show commented that she was wearing shoes. How silly. Of course she was. Do they think she walks around barefoot all day long no matter where she is or what she’s doing?
Chris, this morning What's on Netflix posted: A Family Affair Netflix Movie Soundtrack: Every Song Featured. Number 16 of the 18 songs listed there is The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire) - Angelina Jordan - 2019. Did they get that date right? As far as I know, Angelina recorded this song with that band of famous musicians at her Dec 23, 2021 Christmas Concert. Will watch the movie tonight and be alert for when Angelina's song comes up.

Yes; I still hope they release the clean version of that one day, without the sounds in the background. I should have said “The Hating Game” was the first commercial, Hollywood movie she had music in. And of course for tv shows there was her wonderful appearance in “Lillehammer.”

What I find even more disturbing are the inappropriate, sometimes perverted comments she gets primarily on TikTok and Instagram. This has been going on since she was still underage. I don’t know if these people think she’s older or what but they are still inappropriate. I’m sure some of you have seen these comments. How Angelina must feel when she reads them. Even worse is that Sara and Juliette must see these comments too.
I have simply made this comment with different reactors as they are so quick to point out her shoes in that video...This was NOT a formal concert or music video and you can take this to the bank,,, she WILL be barefoot when the official drop is made of "Bad Valentine" comes and WILL be barefoot when she is in concert! How silly are these folks to take a pause in their reactions to point this out...I just laugh

I trust her Judgement, while she is putting on the crocodile skin.... you really need it in the industry to survive. And that is why some might see a change in her. She is realising how BAD the BAD side of the industry is. It's taking away a lot of her innocence.
And how about she is just growing up...becoming an adult and like all of us, losing her innocence along the way but gaining so many more extraordinary things from life!...😀
