Regarding the Netflix movie A Family Affair, filming took place in 2022. The movie was originally supposed to be released in November 2023 but was delayed due to the strike. So most likely an older Angelina song is in the movie. On her story about the movie Love Don’t Let Me Go is playing in the background so that might be the song. No matter the song I think we should go in not expecting too much so as not to be disappointed. The song could be featured prominently or it could just be a snippet playing softly in the background. It would be great however if it were prominent enough and long enough to get viewers curious about the song and who is singing. We can hope.

She's 18 now signed up to Republic Records but they're still waiting for her to write that hit song/album, you know the one that launches your career into super time. Compare her to someone like Fiona Apple who at the age of 19 launched her Grammy Award Album 'Tidal' with three hit songs, most of the songs were written when she was 15, followed then by three years of production. Angelina is only on the first step of the ladder, if she going to make it to the next step she's better give up on cover songs and start writing in earnest, because presently she hasn't created one song which is in the same league as 'Criminal', 'Shadow Boxer' or 'Sleep to Dream', You can sing covers all day long but without the hits you hit that glass ceiling.
Angelina has written lots of songs that should be album-worthy - If they had gotten radio airplay for her Old Enough EP in the US (LDLMG has gotten airplay in several countries outside the US) Angelina could have had that and a couple of others on the charts already. Also, keep in mind Angelina has been writing songs since she was 10 years old (or even younger) and all of the ones available on Spotify and other streaming services are great songs. In fact, Angelina has stated she has written about 100 songs so far that have not been released - and that doesn't count the songs she has already written in collaboration with Toby Gad that are expected to be released later in 2024.

A lot of past hits wouldn't get noticed today if they suddenly appeared, because young people aren't interested in that sound/genre. And it's youth, as it always has been, are deciders of what's cool and what's not.

An LA concert would be great. We live in the LA area so it was very easy for us to make the Las Vegas show especially since my wife’s brother and wife live there. No hotel required. But an LA show is obviously even more convenient and makes a lot of sense since Angelina lives here. On her Patreon a week or so ago she asked fans for suggestions for concert locations. Fans from all over the country and world made suggestions. I know at this point in her career smallish venues are probably more realistic. For LA, I suggested the historic Art Deco style Wiltern Theater. It holds about 1800 which may still be a little too big at this time. It may depend on the growth of her fan base by the time she decides to tour.
Hey Chris, as you appear to have a direct channel to some of these super fans perhaps you can suggest that the try to organize some of the more wealthy fans to start requesting songs (as patrons) from some of the bigger RUclips sites. Charismatic voice and Cici Dover both have over 1.5 million subscribers and I am sure there are others that could be targeted. I would love to do it myself but really can't put myself in the wealthy bracket. Just a thought as we (Angels) appear to be getting traction with small channels but not going for the big ones.

This possible concert news is exciting - but I think that Toby Gad or RR need to release an Angelina Jordan album and get her songs on the radio! We know a lot of Angels will attend - but Angelina needs to attract a wider audience for her concerts and radio and even physical media (CDs, Vinyl) will get more people excited about going to an Angelina Jordan Concert.
I think any new album she releases will be through Republic as that is the label she is signed with. Even the new songs she has been working on with Toby will probably be under Republic. The difference with If I Were a Boy is that it’s for Toby’s album. Angelina appears as a guest vocalist. I don’t think any of us know what the promotion strategy is for Angelina between Republic, her management and herself. She has said since she was a little girl that she wanted to be a superstar and sing for the world. But Chris has also said that she has stated that she wants her career to grow organically so she may not be in a rush. I think fans, including myself are more anxious about it. The truth is though she will need to expand her audience. Us older folks won’t be around for ever. It will be very interesting to see how she is marketed when the time comes. How do they attract more (younger) fans and at the same time maintain her current fans. It will also be interesting to see how she interacts with a younger audience, especially fans closer to her own age. We don’t usually see her hanging out with people closer to her own age.
Finally someone to help her get to the right direction. Only if her Manager Uncle lets her get to where she should be. This girl should be on top of the charts by now. 🍷 Here’s to hoping Toby can help her over the line.

Chris, I asked Toby if he was going to do another Vibrato show with Angelina. And he said it was always his plan to have Angelina there, but she “got stuck in Norway’. Then he went on and said he would like to have her in a larger venue. Toby asked what size venue would be good, and 500 seats was mentioned. We told him that she sold out in Portsmouth with about 900 seats. But we all like her in small venues!
