Dude so many dope things about this run! Limit loop even without HP-MP. Positioning on that finishing touch. Such a clean and perfect run man, def a haaard challenge with how much HP red dragon has and now limited damage you can do without buffs.

@@Fennekin-wl8ul Thank you! ☺️ I’m sure you will do great with no materia story runs! 😁 Also, I would recommend, first just do regular story no damage runs for characters you enjoy and such, and then once you’re familiar with the bosses moves, then try no materia! That’s what I did, it’s more fun that way too haha. That’s pretty much why a lot of my last few cloud story battles were no materia, because now that I’m done with his story battles, it was time to do something more challenging for me 😅

I'm just taking my time with it since of course, I want to have content for my viewers and not to burn myself out again 😅. Plus there are different playstyles for Cloud that I Iike to play (Darkside and Mage) so I'd like to do different vids of those playstyles before no materia 😄.

But, I think it has to do with where crimson breath spills to and positioning. I haven’t tried this with Tifa yet so I’m not too sure 😅 Nice thing with Cloud is finishing touch still damages red dragon if positioned correctly!

Excellent ! This is one of the hardest no materia / no damage challenge on the whole game . Phase 2 got me scared at many moments , but you kept calm and you did it . Legend ! That was such a wonderful fight , congrats bro ! 😁

It is in the game, but only for a sim challenge. Can't remember which one. They reused a lot of missing OSTs from remake in Sims like Ghoul, Eligor, Hand over Hand, Airbuster, Mako Reactor battle mix etc.

I no damaged that months ago but completely forgot that the song I think plays during that 😅 it was prob used somewhere else too!

So satisfying to watch. Truly one of your best videos. Especially that Finishing Dodge near the end..... Only thing is: why that weapon of choice? The Igneous Saber is amazing, but with no materia isn't the Sleek Saber better?
@@00Mk000 thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 There’s a few reasons why I chose this weapon. The first being it has a passive that increases damage to enemy parts by 5%. Making it so that one braver can break wings. Second it has a passive that increases the number of consecutive slashes in punisher mode. Third , it has 2 passives that increases the limit gauge charge rate, something very important with this fight as you will need limit for crimson breath and maybe again after. Hope that helps 😁 it’s a great weapon for this fight when doing no materia
Ohhh, I see. I always use that sword to increase the duration of time materia stop, in conjunction with the increased limit on stagger, but I've always thought the increased number of punisher slashes was garbage.

@@Azumgi9 After doing disorder, I thought I had enough ATB to go into Aerial Onslaught 😆 I didn’t lol! But , I quickly recovered from that mistake haha. It was nerves, this was a very difficult challenge haha

@@RagingRowen I do have a video with Aerith and Cloud no materia against sephy, haven’t uploaded yet, but it’s not no damage. The reason I don’t care too much about trying to no damage that with no materia is bc the unskippable cutscene for that fight every time you have to reset. It ends up becoming really tiring to sit through every reset. At that point it no longer becomes a (fun) challenge run for me, so I don’t go for it. Maybe if PC version adds a mod to skip that cutscene, then I will def give it more time 😁
@@pointless7 sadly it doesn’t work, I have tried it 😅 The attack is an AOE attack, so it’s programmed to still hit you even if you’re above it. Same with Heartless Angel and some of Galian beasts phase 2 attacks
@@RE_Prince_Vegeta ah okay. i do know from a different video that you can avoid Heartless Angel through the Jump Materia, but I think crimson breath lasts too long for that. oh, and, almost forgot: GG on the run :)
