    how many stupid comments have been made on this video cant people simply watch and admire what the guy does, seems like a class act who is prepared to try anything it sometimes works and others it doesnt but he wears his heart on his sleeve, exciying player no matter what anyone thinks.

      Johnny Pickles mate it's not even that, I'm all for trying new things but he does it in big games a clip could be made showing, "Quade Cooper: Rugbys biggest dummy" or something like that, it's good that he try's but the reds and wallabies always come off worse for it, that's why Bernard Foley always starts over him.

    Guys seriously why so much hate against suh a great player. Who cares where he is from? He is Australian and has always played for this country. If I remember, Lomu is from Tonga, and so are many great NZ players. But there are still new zealanders. Here in France (we are not at our best now I'm afraid...) many of our great players are immigrants and who cares really? Quade Cooper is probably the most gifted player I've seen but too inconcistant to become an actual legend. Anyway great video

    • @Aidankiwi
      @Aidankiwi 10 лет назад +1

      Cooper is not the only NZ born player in the Wallabies team, and that is not the reason he is so disliked in NZ. It has nothing to do with him migrating. It is all to do with some very unpleasant aspects of his character. That plus he is VERY over-rated.

    • @08padam

    Some (obviously not all) kiwi fans need to get over themselves. Wales' biggest attacking threat right now, George North, was born in England and grew up here, but we don't complain every time he scores against us.
    As for his attitude off the field, that is obviously not ok but completely unrelated to the rugby. Also, outside NZ McCaw has a reputation for being a bit of a bellend and a wind up merchant, Cooper's "hatred" for McCaw may be more justified than you think.

      995sean i have to agree, as a kiwi, quade just always went to pieces against the AB'S, its his cheap off the ball shots on richie that cost him the most here in nz, but that was all on him, tital brain farts.

  • @bremCZ
    @bremCZ 7 лет назад

    I dont think people quite understand that most Kiwis dont dislike Cooper. We treat him as we do our own players. Carlos Spencer was jeered by half the country because he played average some days and other days he was the best in the world. Cooper regularly goes from amazing to club level and back again in a month. Had he been a NZ player he would get more jeers than Spencer did. Its not that we dont like him, we just like to boo him.

    Considering he went to the Church of England Grammar School in Brisbane where he learned his rugby trade alongside David Pocock (they played 10 & 12 for a season), I would say he is entitled to choose to play for Australia. Look at the ex NZ internationals now playing for Scotland and other countries...it is their choice because they can do it. All this Islanders who move to NZ play for the AB's as they are allowed to do that... and because NZ doesnt give money back to the islands for assimilating their players into the NZ way of life.... Although, there is a game due to be played in Apia soon, so that may change the perception of the player drain from the PI's.
    Quade Cooper - The Australian Genius - HD

    • @Aidankiwi
      @Aidankiwi 10 лет назад +1

      Whoa there let's get one thing correct here. Of the Pacific islanders in the current All Blacks squad, none of them moved to NZ specifically to play Rugby. All migrated here with their families and most were young children when they arrived in NZ. The exception being Malakai Fekitoa who was 17 when he moved here again though it was with his family and was not with playing for the All Blacks in mind. There was no player drain or assimilation needed. If there is a player drain from the Islands it is more likely to be toward Australia than NZ. When are the Wallabies going to play in the PIs to compensate for the the players they have recruited?
      What makes your comments all the more ridiculous is that a large number of the Samoa national team were born guess where? New Zealand! Care to comment on that player drain?

    • @Aidankiwi
      @Aidankiwi 10 лет назад

      James elliot Maybe you should just answer the question I asked. As for the state of Rugby in the PIs and Samoa in particular, I think Samoan rugby has it's own internal issues to deal with without getting hung up on the urban myths being perpetrated about NZ Rugby

    Jonah Lomu, Ma'a Nonu and many more pacific islanders chose to play for the All Blacks, it would've been their dream growing up, they weren't picked or paid to play for our country, Nz is there home away from home.

    • @jameonmatetaa-cooper5332
      @jameonmatetaa-cooper5332 8 лет назад

      They played for the all blacks because the money was far greater playing for the all blacks then playing for tonga,samoa,fiji etc. If the money wasn‘t a factor all these pacific islander players would be playing for their island nations not the all blacks.

    • @naldo.z
      @naldo.z 8 лет назад +1

      jameon Mateta'a-Cooper obviously not they chose to play for the All Blacks because they live in New Zealand not in Tonga, Samoa etc, they started with the All Blacks in their rookie years, they wouldn't change that because people like you think their playing for the money, they live in NZ, so that's where they search for the opportunity, anyway the All Blacks were probably the main goal they set for themselves.

    He really was good back in the day, used to love watching him play. He really has fallen so far, in the end he is his own worst enemy... don’t think he will be playing professional rugby again yet, he just makes too many terrible decisions, pretty much since 2014. Recently proven by him single handedly losing Souths the semi final in QLD premiership rugby by going for a terrible cross field kick when down by 1 point with a penalty right in front of the goal with 10min to go...

  • @rodahead9347

    Love all the kiwis trying to claim Quade Cooper is good because he happened to born in NZ. or, alternatively, bag him because he plays for Australia. Being born in any country doesn't make you good (or bad) at a particular sport, if that were so being born in Australia makes you good at cricket, swimming, league, surfing, netball, etc etc.. in fact, apart from rugby, if I were born in NZ, I wouldn't be bragging about it at all.

I understand why Bernard foley was pick over him and there are much better fly-halfs than him Beauden Barrett, owen Farrell (sorry if I spelt some Thing wrong) but he is not half bad. And this is coming from an AB's fan.

    Just a quick question. I know Quade has been a bit of a naughty boy off the field on occasions (as stealing a couple of laptops comes to mind). So does that mean that under the Australian immigration policy that he would be deported back to New Zealand along with everyone else??? (I'm sure that they would find an exclusion clause for that one)
    He is on his day a very talented player. Saying that he can have some shockers as well.

      I do not see how you can claim racist New Zealand has anything to do with why was disowned, we frown on international athletes being convicted felons, we prefer know which sportsman is going to turn up on the day of any test, we prefer team players to showboats with big mouths. That is why we is disowned, race? has nothing to do with it. Remember Australia is far far more racist than New Zealand or most western countries for that matter. I speak as a Maori and as a relative of Quades

      TheDenimlocks It takes a lot of skill to turn your opponent inside out every time, which is why Cooper fails to do that. One out of ten of his showboating tricks luckily comes off for him. The rest of the time he makes a fool of himself, just like every time he opens his mouth.
