@@ayuminor Huh I was confused by this since the climber with the nickname "Mogli" is Charles Albert. I thought he was going to be in the vid and I got really excited for a minute!
Absolutely amazing climber. Also he really *likes* discourse markers. He utters approximately 147 "like" filler words in this ~10 minute segment. So 1 every 4 seconds or so.
To be fair to Aidan, he is a pro climber, not a pro speaker. I stutter when I'm nervous, and I would hope that for a climbing interview, people would talk about the content I say, and not my speech imperfections. Additionally, he has some really good sentiments throughout the interview
His articulation of climbing is next to none. He's literally evolving the language we use to describe climbing and it's nuances faster than anyone else out there. What a contribution thus man is making to our crazy artform! P.s. Shout out to Cinematic Orchestra
maybe, but he says 'like' every 3 words, it is a bit annoying. Don't feel that he is that articulated, feels more like he overcomplicate his explanations
@@spiroxylo2247the experience of a climb is inherently connected to its difficulty. Grades are made to be a representation of difficulty, the issue is that grades are literally one dimensional, integer values, meanwhile one climb can be harder than another without going up a grade. This also doesn’t account for the difficulty of climbs being very personalized but grades being overarching, climbs can objectively be much harder for someone based on morphology, or subjectively harder based on their style of climbing. Grades are not useless though, they are useful to describe difficulty, they just aren’t perfect at doing so.

This dude is like the Bob Ross of bouldering.
😂😂😂😂
The guy needs an asmr channel.
LOL!! This comment!!!
this dude straight up getting enlightened while climbing! so awesome to hear him talk about it
Surprised Mogli allowed himself to be exposed to such a high tech camera for this footage. Must have taken a good bit of coaxing, good job!
bro what
@@roowf4685 I can see how this can seem weird and rude out of context, but it's a refrence to a joke from a podcast Aiden does with Sam Prior :D

@@FeeblePenguin I agree wholeheartedly. Former me should have kept his obsessive calculations to himself.
Is there a video of the send of Aidan? Thanks!
Not yet, sounds like it will be coming out later this year.

Bet he'll do the whole "the grade isn't important so I'm not gonna grade it" bullshit
@@henrygilbert3798 it’s not bullshit, he said they’re around V17 but he wants others to try it before he establishes a grafe
