I'd just like to apologize for the obnoxious reflection in my glasses. But oh well...

Doing a presentation on WWII fashion and wanted a quick run down before I started researching. Thanks for this!

This was very informative! I wear skirts everyday now since I had commented on your previous videos you gave giving a tour on your skirts. What kind of red lipstick do you use?

Thanks! Unfortunately my favourite lipstick is now very hard to find and I think it’s been discontinued. It’s Retro Red by NYC. I used to get it as the drug store, but the only place I’ve seen it since is on Amazon for way more than its usual retail price. A lipstick I recommend though is Poppy Please by Mary Kay.

Did this changes happen in America or the European countries?

Generally speaking, these changes were quite prominent in the americas and much of Europe. And even in places where the changes didn’t begin, they would often pick up the new styles from the Western countries eventually. But a lot of the changes caused by the war were pretty universal. Even if the rationing of materials wasn’t done in Canada for example in the same way as in the UK, the UK designers’ use of simpler styles, fewer but larger buttons etc. would inspire fashion elsewhere.
