Just love the traditional items in the kit. The Jute twine pouch ROCKS. I would add a Long titanium spoon , a Sawyer filter , 2 zip lock freezer bags to hold filtered water and maybe a cotton bandana. My a Stanley adventure kit is just like yours only it all fits in a 4" H2O pouch. Ready for rehydrated food and coffee just add water and food. No room for a grinder though.
I’ve never ground up my beans out in the woods… like the idea but I think taking freshly ground beans from home for a day hike is good enough and saved a little space/weight BUT still… wouldn’t mind doing it out on the trail. GREAT set up you have.
Well I never saw this, totally practical and very good idea 💡 I see this as 100 percent usefull. Very clever idea. So there is always something new to learn. Take a hike and make your coffee ☕ and I love my coffee as well
Nice kit you put together. I would add a couple Band Aids, compass. The Jute twine you use in the tube to start fires, braid 3 strands of Jute about a foot long and soak in melted wax for a few minutes. It's 💯% waterproof and will lite under any condition. It's my go to fire starter if needed. Thanks for the share👍 Stay safe and healthy my friend 👊💥
Really like the kit! For me sugar and creamer is a must. Maybe make the spice holder a little larger for these items. Love the waxed canvas. Lone wolf 902 is a great channel, please keep up the good work!
Another great video, something worth mentioning is in the event I can’t get denatured alcohol for my alcohol stove as a substitute I use 90% rubbing alcohol or HEET ( yellow bottle) aka dry gas for vehicles can be found in automotive section most stores.
I would add some raspberry leaf tea, maybe some blueberry leaf as well. Although you can't really beat a good wild mint tea either, kicks the daylights out of any domestic species of mint!
I like my coffee black, however tea must have cream and sugar. I'd add a vial for sugar and one for powdered milk. Oh, and a sweet treat to enjoy with either one. lol
Those external straps are perfect for your waxed cotton groundcloth. I've been thinking of picking up a small sling bag or tactical bottle bag for similar use. Great idea for using the glue bottle. I tried the small travel bottles in the travel/samples section of a dept store but didn't like them. Currently using an 8oz kiddie water bottle. (bought a 12 pack for a couple bucks and now I have several) Even for day hikes, I like the Brew Buddy that you have in many of your videos. If I'm in the mood, I might leave the Brew Buddy behind and bring a GSI Outdoors mini espresso maker. However, I'm very careful with it as I'm always worried that I would bend/break the hooked neck on it in my day bag. I may eventually try to make something similar to a Kuksa, but for nostalgia reasons, an enameled metal coffee cup is the cup for me. (Plus with the metal cup the coffee cools off quickly for me, I am not a fan of extra hot coffee. I like it anywhere from hot to iced.) I like using the ferro rod with the alcohol stove (a DIY stove version) as getting a lighter into the stove can be tricky. I use folded heavy duty aluminum foil for the wind break for the stove. I like the grinder and I used to be into grinding my own beans, but I'm lazy and don't do grind my beans anymore (except on occasion). I'm not that picky with my beans any more. I desire a dark (not burnt) roast that is preground and kept in an airtight container so it doesn't go stale very quickly. Great video. Thank you.
@@Lonewolfwildcamping we have not used an alcohol stove before. Do you burn it completely off? Do you have and left over alcohol? What do you do with that?
@@ChristsCreekMission The Trangia Alcohol stove, has a large o-ring in the cap to seal the stove so it can be transported with alcohol in it. Warning, many of the Trangia and Trangia copies will leak. Always test yours an make sure it doesn't leak. Many of the titanium copies don't come with the cap.
Hiya!!! You should include that Japanese 'walk around' sleeping bag in this. I still 'chuckle' about that video you walking around in that green sleeping bag! You looked like GODZILLA!!!! Hahahahahaha!!! You stay safe, Canada!!! Wonderful! Best wishes from the UK, Mr Wolf!
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Yeah!!! Practical.....but oh so.....GODZILLA around a camping site!!! LOL! Have a great day Sir, enjoy your coffee! PS. (I've just found a Honey Coupon to buy one of your small hoodies, so I'll be cracking on with that!!) Stay a lone wolf lad. Great channel!!! Warmest Regards to you, GODZILLA! Hahahahaha!!! I definitely want to get a coffee grinder like that. I've seen you use a filter that I think you said you made yourself it's got a red ring on it and the filter material.
902 area code? I wish I had a brew kit yesterday but the trip was unexpected. I have a SOG pack for day hikes but trying to get a Finnish or Polish bag for a brew kit.
You asked for input as to what could pack i found your response rude, coffee ☕ is great I pack for a hike I take coffee but I also carry a small first aid in case. A person taking a hike and is allergic to bee or bug bites they will want an eppi pen, not a cup of coffee you were rude
A person that loves coffee as we do and having a person that if allergic reaction that cup of coffee will not save a life and eppi pen in a small medical kit no bigger than your largest wax bag can accommodate an eppi pen. That pen will open the airway this is called anaphylaxis shock an reaction to a bee bug or spider bite. A cup of coffee won't open up the airway the body shuts down and the person suffocated. Unless you know how to open the airway with an emergency track. A person completely shuts down. I have been in a situation like this the proper medical item I described will save a life as you have bought some time for the person. Then he can have a cup of coffee.

I don't always take coffee advice from strangers on the internet. But when I do, I prefer Lonewolf 902.

How about a small medical kit or an eppi pen for those allergic to bee or spider bites, your large wax bag will be big enough for that.
I personally don't need that for a coffee kit
Can you please mention again the name of the company making the Titanium French press? I didn't quite catch it.
Or a product link, perhaps?
Thanks
