When he took that first sip of coffee and sighed, it proves all you need in life are the basics.
I am this kinda crazy as well, haven’t had a chance to do a full setup but I had my “birthday party” as a teen with a 4 person tent about 3 miles in the woods, set up a temporary lean-to, and started a big bonfire in about 16 inches of fresh snow. My parents laughed, they thought it was cool and half the people I invited left before nightfall, but the people who stayed got to share the booze I got 😉 slept all nice and cozy in a dope sleeping bag, woke up and made coffee the OG way with the sunrise, truly a dream like memory
Something about sitting around a fire in a clearing, so many sounds yet so quiet, I gotta get a camping pack and do something like this ❤
This video brought back great memories of the many years I did one-man back country camping in mostly Rocky Mountain National Park, before becoming severely disabled from cancer. In those days I used an MSR Whisperlite white gas stove, no coffee grinder, and everything else much the same. When you sat on the log drinking hot coffee, drinking in the wilderness, for a moment I was back there too. Merry Christmas 🎁
Yeah I hear you this was great back in the day like was 20 years ago. And I feel for you about your disability especially with your cancer I hope you live many many more years. But I have a disease also that change my life dramatically it's very hard to do physical things I can't do them anymore really. And I miss the wilderness the adventures even just a simple thing of walking in the woods all day long or even a day of hunting. But good luck with you I'm wishing you the best
Hope you're doing okay mate. Love that we can all share experiences like this together and thanks for sharing the memory.
hope you get better

I have no interest in Camping, yet I’m lying in bed at 3.30am watched every minute of this & thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks for showing even the smallest of detail such as pinning up the tent, extension poles you put in the tent and how to split the logs. This guy deserves views 👌🏽
Same man im here 2:43 am
You need to get a life instead of following any YT channel at 3:30am!
Did your Mom call you twice from the top of the stairs for Pizza Pockets?
Bet she came down to tuck you in and turn off your PS4 as well.
Its 4:07 AM now still watching !
Same 11:43pm 😂
I couldn't agree more. I like the idea of camping but hate actually doing it. Waking up in the cold at night, can't go back to sleep because of it, back/ neck pains when you wake, etc etc. But watching these videos just feels so peaceful and primal. Nothing else matters but getting a fire going for the night and setting up camp, all your big problems you stress about don't even exist anymore, it's peaceful. I hope high tech VR takes off in my lifetime so I can camp like this without the real world strains lol
Being out there enjoying the peace and tranquility of mother nature must do wonders for your soul!
Thank you Lonewolf for sharing this with me and people like me. Although I've never done anything like this brothers like you who do this kind of things inspires me and gives me hope for one day I can do adventures like this and other similar outings. Thank you so much again. New subscriber here!
Who else also gets peaceful watching these kind of videos? So relaxing 😌
Very relaxing until he talks.
Can not get by a night without watching one of his videos.
I can feel the freedom of the fresh air, the sound of wood chopping and coffee cooking. The natural vaccine of Mother Nature. Fabulous.
Coffee cooking...???????

This seems like a very relaxing trip. Thank you for having such a quality, crisp, and clean video. I also appreciate the good content. I’m just going to live vicariously through you.
Man, I have to say, I absolutely love all your gear; that mini wood stove, the saw, the coffee maker, that air mattress set up…it’s all sooo cool! I’m new to your channel and already love it. Thanks so much for sharing your outside experiences. I’m living vicariously! 😊👍🏽
Yes ! Your gear is so well thought out and appears very good quality.
Step off the asphalt already
Yeah that's a pretty sick bed. Definitely gonna look into one!
That stove chimney is the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I'm not a big camper or outdoors guy, I've never watched a winter camping video in my life but this was randomly recommended to me, now I feel the need to go and buy a tent and go off into the woods for 3 days
Good luck !
Start with your backyard and work your way up to venture into the woods
*gets eaten by a bear 😅
Go do it! Please go find out what magic is. Where God lives. How spiritual and satisfying it is being with nature . It is absolutely my therapy. My happiest most special memories. Grateful I was raised by outdoorsy parents. My kids now adults, love camping. ❤ you'll be glad you did.
Always let people know where you will be at least. Especially when. Going into potentially hazardous conditions.. so many people get to excited and may tell there co worker something but completely forget to let there friends and family's where and when they are leaving... literally every couple of months it happens and people never learn its honestly sad but getting old . People need to plan ahead !!
Best video ever. I absolutely love that there is no music, and minimal talking is appreciated too. What coziness! Felt like I was there. I would have liked a temp reading inside, both with door open and door closed. Fahrenheit reading is probably asking too much 🤣, but we can convert it. Thanks for making such a great video! People who don't like winter are missing out on the most beautiful of seasons.
Expensive equipment but very cool. The fresh ground coffee through the French press, priceless. Thanks.
I have no idea why this was in my recomendations. I am a middle aged British woman, who has never been or ever intends to go camping! but I enjoyed every minute of this video. I can't believe how much stuff went into that backpack.
Nem tudod mit hagysz ki, ha nem kempingezel. :)
🤩😍😘
That blow-up sleeping pad is by far the coolest thing I've seen so far in any camping videos. I love how you fill that thing! So neat man. Thanks for sharing.
The blowup method utilizing the storage bag is REALLY cool. By not introducing moisture via direct inhalation, you guarantee a greater insulation value. Amok
It is my sincere hope that ya'll may piece together a valid search string from my extant comments. Winterlight

wow, massive views! Probably for snow camping this has to be the most compact and efficient set of equipment I've seen; yet even here, you are treking in lots of equipment that fills up a backpack. Just loved to see the process-so well done.
Wowza.....23 million views on this awesome winter camping hot tent with Pomoly wood burning stove video! You rock Jeremy!!!
This setup is probably one of the coolest most compact setups i have ever seen in the 40 years of backpacking and hiking i've ever seen. Totally awesome and Thank you for the video!
@@slydawwg Huh?
It’s surprisingly compact but probably still very heavy. Considering the stove, the heavy knife, the saw, the coffee equipment …
The only advantage is that he doesn’t have to carry any fuel (but has to find dry-ish wood).
Well done old chap🇬🇧👍
I'm on elderly lady living in New Zealand and thoroughly enjoying your innovative ideas! Very pretty the snow, but too cold for me!

Nothing innovative here.

where's the innovative part @sojourner?
I just sat through 5 seasons of "what we do in the shadows". It’s nice to see Nandor here getting out in nature again.
I made a tent stove out of an old steel mailbox, some colapsable dryer vent pipe sections, foil tape and a rack out of an old toaster oven. I turned it on it's side, made a union by cutting c circle the size of the pipe into pie slices and bending them up for the pipe to sit on, put 4 drywal screws through the side for the rack to sit on as a burn shelf. Works great and it was free except for the tape.
No talking just the sounds of him settled up and building his own camp is soothing.only talks very briefly about the weather coming and his conditions coming and then gets back to work.
This is wonderful. Brings many memories of taking my son camping every year from age 6 to 18. He now is an avid backpacker and camper.
I need to revisit this again with him. He’s 33 so it’s been awhile.
Great show…I
Do it! Call him right now and set a plan. Life is short. Time gets away from us. This is what life is about. 💖✨
Do it man, not everyone is lucky enough to have child. Especially one who shares interests.

Thanks we are going to plan it for this spring.
I mean he lives by Tahoe what’s not to like.
Campers..
If that was me enjoying a cup of coffee I would just bring a bottle of Nestcaffe that is instant just boil the water and void all that work of grinding...I love the wood stove- heater though..
I’m passing this along to a young man who wants to winter camp. Really enjoyed especially your stove. And I need that coffee grinder!
The fact that these videos blow up just proves we’re all craving our primal life of long ago
I always loved winter camping in the snow. Nothing makes you feel closer to nature and our forefathers
So true, here in Norhern Thailand we've got many camping sites with Iglo tents for this purpose, and there is also a "Giant Bamboo Hut" in the middle of Thailand's highest mountain. Awesome place, i've been there the other day
You mean closer as in closer to joining them in the afterlife? JK. I've been on some camping trips that I thought I was going to get hypothermic.
I'm not much of an outdoors person but this was incredible satisfying to watch! Thank you!
You can do it if you want to you are the product of thousands of years of natural selection remember that haha

Awesome setup. All of you young folks out there pay attention and know that life passes by fast. I was too busy trying to feed a family of six to get to do very much of this and when I could it was always poor-boying it. I am not complaining but offering advice. Get outside and do it while you can. Invest in some good gear early in life. I still camp and enjoy it very much but can car camp only. I would have to call 911 to get help getting in and out of that tent but would love to give it a try. Back packing in would be so great, it allows you to go where most people can't or won't and that is my style. Great video!
As a motocamper (Harley & trailer), this is content for bedtime! LOVE that stove!
Happy you enjoyed
As a solo doc filmmaker, I know what it took to create this from start to finish. This was great to see. It felt as if I were there with you. Thank you so much for the effort.

You're welcome
🇬🇧 The coffee making ritual is so clever. Real fresh coffee from beans to cup -- the ingenious grinder & the cafetiere-type pot, all so simple and functional! Could slurpingly taste the deliciousness😋
Enjoyed your video! I went out with my daughter in winter last year. My husband built it with logs for the floor and back wall wraped itcwith tibeck. It was -21 Celsius outside and +55 inside. Made a lean-to
With a long fire and thin plastic infront. Amazing that we could keep warm and comfortable all night. I had to feed the fire once an hour. I must admit camping in summer with our 5th wheel is lovely!
I like to imagine this guy just leaves little camp sites all over the world for people to discover.
Probably the best hour I've ever spent watching something on RUclips. Absolutely wonderful.
Glad you enjoyed it
Didn't even realize it was an hour long lol. Great and easy video to watch

Interesting video ! The first time watching this kind of video !
40:50 Seems like you didn’t sleep in the tent but somewhere else ! You just get into the tent at morning, because it’s almost impossible to sleep in the tent all night long with such Thick Snow Covering the tent and the temperature dropping to negative 30, or 40 degrees ....
@@bgsdhillon9753 53:07..
Great content. Salute on the diy stove stack design. A ground tarp supported with straw would have been a plus. Here in the woods of north central Florida, we require a sealed floor tent or wake up bit by something & more than once. Keep up the adventure. 😜
I watch stuff like this for comfort.. so far this is the best type of camping video I’ve ever seen. Much love
Nothing better then waking up in the snow, your face when you opened your tent said it all! Thanks Jeremy for the relaxing hour always and pleasure. Have a fab day bud. looking forward to the next adventure. 🏔☃
Thank you very much, I love the snow
Wow! great atmosphere my brother to spend the night in these conditions. Millions watch this video. you deserve it congratulations 😎👏👏
The satisfaction it gives you when you take that first sip of that hot drink is sooo rewarding as you tak a moment to look over where you are actually at. I was born for the outdoors and I will die being outdoors hopefully
Reminds me of when I used to go winter camping back in upstate New York, New Jersey and Pa.
It was the best time of my life. Alas, I’m not as young and able as I used to be so I sit here and enjoy your videos and reminisce instead.
Your videos are awesome. Thank you for sharing.
I'm watching this in the doldrums of August summer heat, and watching you make kindle the fire actually made my AC a little more effective. So you helped me cool off on a hot night. Thank you for the content!

Hey food for thought, next time bring a tarp made of stretchy tent material and hang it above your tent. During the night when it snows, it will fill up. In the morning you'll have fresh snow for coffee instead of contaminated lake water. During the day. you can use fresh snow to make snowballs for coffee.
Man the face you make when you drink your coffee. I know that feeling. Everything has come together and your truly appreciating life and living in the moment.
The snow, stakes, cozy camp. Absolute 5 star hotel right there
Can I please just tell you how much I love that you don't fill your videos with music and talking every second -- the first 20 minutes of this are just heaven to my ears !
Why is it so therapeutic to watch camping videos like this? :) Thanks for sharing.
This is awesome!!! There's nothing like just you and the wilderness!!!

Nothing better than waking up to a snowy morning. That is absolutely beautiful, my favorite feeling breathing in the cold fresh air
That happened for me this morning. First snow of the year on Christmas eve - in Connecticut. Won't last though. I like to get out and see all the animal tracks in my back yard, to see where they were going, what they were doing.

This video was cathartic. I hope to bring my family out into the woods. Watching you perform each function with care and consideration, it was clear that every move was planned and thought out. Thanks!
I like your videos. You focus on the practical aspects of the adventure and deliver the salient pieces and let the observer observe/learn. Other channels I have been watching while the focus is on the adventure, the main thread is a monologue of the developer. Keep doing what you are doing. It is appreciated.
As a mountain man I appreciate you keeping that area clean & removing all your trash. I seriously wish we had more folks like you !!
Thanks, I appreciate it
It was an absolute pleasure to watch this video. So calm, so peaceful. I really loved the fact that you showed the setup process. Thank you.
That looks a beautiful spot you chose, I imagine it's awesome in summer too. That tent is very well designed, a heating/cooking and separate sleeping area, what impressed me was that it all fits in a backpack. I enjoyed this video 👍⛺
I had no idea that hot tent stoves were that collapsible! I’d never seen one set up and had assumed they were all big and heavy.
Wonderful and informative vid. Thank you. Minor tip: After you pour the boiling water on the ground coffee beans, if you stir them, they will release more flavor, and it helps to let them sit for about four minutes before using the press on them.
If my back wasnt so bad, i'd be all over this, but i am a hammock convert now. The thing i love about these hot tents and setups, is that they remind me of 'forts' for adults. You know when you were a kid and would put bedsheets over chairs and other pieces of furniture in the living room ?
Trying to find places in the Lower Mainland of BC where i can get to do some of this.
Great video as always !
Thank you, and I must agree they do feel like adult forts 😁👍🔥
chilliwack bc or mission.. or almost anyplace in bc is good for this!
This is so satisfying to watch. I find myself nodding when he's nodding after a sip of coffee looking out into the lake. Wish I had done this with my kids more.
Couldn't you still?
What a lovely place to camp out what a view.
Enjoyed the video. It always looks so cozy & warm with the stove lit. I camp in state parks here in Wisconsin in my Little Guy camper with inside heater. I've camped in the snow & colder temps. Very enjoyable & the campfire feels so good. I've never tried hot tent camping, but if I did, I'd prefer the setup you had in this video where you made the chimney opening. That steak looked yummy! Take care and stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed it

You sound like a lovely lady!.
Have you tried boondocking yet? Dispersed camping on Forest Service land or places like that? So much better than using campgrounds. If you get the right spots, there is no noise, no lights from other campers. So much more enjoyable to be away from everyone.
My husband and i went camping last night and man it was so amazing from peace of mind to the sound of nature and just having time and the environment to meditate without interruption .. Im bummed that we have to leave today but back to work tomorrow

It's so satisfying to me to watch these camping in the snow videos. I like seeing the juxtapositioning of warmth and salvation in that thin tent with death outside if you stayed outside with no protection for a while. Coolest thing was the stove...wow thats neat.
Just so beautiful!! At my age, I can't do anything like this. But lovely to see. I loved the sounds of nature and his enjoying his steak and coffee!☺️
Yep, you were right about the lack of kickstands on the vents. They might have come in handy. I thoroughly enjoyed this vid. Thanks.
If you are going to use this tent this winter season as well, i would highly suggest that you buy a picknick mat that has thermal eva foam for the vestibule area, other than saving you from the ground cold, it will give you the opportunity to enjoy the vestibule area more. Great video! Just the right amount of gear. Love that you keep the area tidy and don't have things scattered about the site.
It's amazing how everything is Compact and foldable to carry in one backpack. The thing that blows me away is the smoke stack especially when you opened it up.
Very cool. Great cinematography! I watched this on Christmas Eve with snow coming down outside! Feeling all warm and fuzzy
The colours of autumn are beautiful, mother nature is magnificent.
The 1st time I cold hot tent was turkey hunting in spencer n.y. No turkeys but we carved a multilevel hot tent out of the snow and a completely frozen river 20 yards away from a huge field, squatting in the woods. I didn't learn enough, but I learned a lot about hot tent camping. It was really cool. Not to ruin things for old time sake, but we had a rechargeable, DVD player, some vintage whiskey, and told each other good tales for the night! 😌😚plus we ate WELL! Glad we didn't need the turkeys
This could be me but without the snow, as a person born and grew up in a country that has no winter. I can get close to this by camping in the mountains, above the clouds and have chilly weather and plenty of fresh air.

How heavenly it must be ,not only to go to sleep in a warm and cosy tent , but to wake up in one in the morning...⛄
This was very interesting. I’m not a camper, but there’s many ways to incorporate the items into our lake cottage.
Great video, just a couple observations.
A good quality folding saw beats a standard bow saw for less weight. Mainly because of the saw tooth geometry cuts faster.
Where I wouldn't mind adding a little weight would be to have a waterproof bottom for your tent. Might not mean much on a calm cold night, but on a wet windy night it would be gold.
So cool !!! I enjoy watching these types of videos so much that I am considering camping out like that at least once in my lifetime. Of course there are a million ways of doing this with all kinds of different tools and comforts so it's definitely going to be an adventure. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
