It is such a rich harmony in the teachings of the buddha. But nothing gives me as much comfort as to know iam protected by the lord. I have shelter because of him. Iam fed. I once thought why is Hinduism so complicated. I now realise that God is complex and he is complicated other wise how can he be God 💙🙏 all mercy from Krishna to show me the way and open my deluded eyes . I'm really surprised by the amount of good effects I'm getting while listening to this song and singing it! I'm usually not so close to the Hare Krishna movement's philosophy (since I follow pagan paths and I'm a scientist); BUT the passion and the devotion you put into this singing of the mahamantra really shows and radiates good feelings. I don't know how to explain it, but it really improved my health and my mind since I've started to listen to it almost every day. I'm so, so thankful to all of you for sharing this!
It's not 'philosophy'. Also, 'pagan' is a word used from the times of spread of christianity in europe to refer to as 'lesser gods' , which is not.right even for the context or Greek or roman civilization, where they described many as 'half-gods' . But it's outright derogatory term to be used here, and neither it fits any of that definition. I know u didn't mean it that way, so no worries. Just making an observation on the prevalent terminology.
What we have in india as hinduism is what you call paganism. The old ways of worshipping nature. Every God in Hinduism represents something from the nature. Same path different language that's all :)
Krishna Das isn't actually part of the Hare Krishna movement and doesn't follow their philosophy per se. If you keep listening to his conversation you'll get the feel of how universal his teaching (from his guru) is. It's very comforting and inclusive for people from many different backgrounds and currently observing different practices.

I'm really surprised by the amount of good effects I'm getting while listening to this song and singing it! I'm usually not so close to the Hare Krishna movement's philosophy (since I follow pagan paths and I'm a scientist); BUT the passion and the devotion you put into this singing of the mahamantra really shows and radiates good feelings. I don't know how to explain it, but it really improved my health and my mind since I've started to listen to it almost every day. I'm so, so thankful to all of you for sharing this!
It's not 'philosophy'. Also, 'pagan' is a word used from the times of spread of christianity in europe to refer to as 'lesser gods' , which is not.right even for the context or Greek or roman civilization, where they described many as 'half-gods' .
But it's outright derogatory term to be used here, and neither it fits any of that definition.
I know u didn't mean it that way, so no worries. Just making an observation on the prevalent terminology.
What we have in india as hinduism is what you call paganism.
The old ways of worshipping nature.
Every God in Hinduism represents something from the nature.

Krishna Das isn't actually part of the Hare Krishna movement and doesn't follow their philosophy per se. If you keep listening to his conversation you'll get the feel of how universal his teaching (from his guru) is. It's very comforting and inclusive for people from many different backgrounds and currently observing different practices.
