I spent hours of every day experiencing the amazing benefits of this chant/mantra while in detox and rehabilitation. Always deemed myself a devout atheist as all the modern and I suppose western versions of religion give me little if anything at all I can agree with or benefit from. My Hindu brother I met in the rehab centre taught me the words, and more importantly, the benefits of meditation and mantras alike. A few years after rehab I had stopped reciting anything I learned, and found myself going back down the same road. Every day since I spend as long as possible every morning letting Krishna better my life. Guess I’m not the atheist I once was. Love to all. Hare Krishna, to all Krishna consciousness devotees. I used to go to Krishna temple in Watford every week, and that was so peaceful ever. Then, after all of a sudden, I moved to India and did not get a single chance to do such devotion, and one day, I was surfing on RUclips, and again, all of a sudden I got this amazing, peaceful, soothing melody on the screen, I just heard this melody after 6 years and went back in to flash back. Since the day I started chanting Shree Hari's name and back into his lotus feets. Nothing is amazing, then Shree Krishna and Radha Rani!!! Hare Krishna❤❤❤

@@ArunChhikara Not sure. I am supposed to get another PET scan, but the VA keeps screwing it up. I have to drive an hour each way, while my mom yells at me. At this point I don't care if the the PET scan is positive or negative. I should never gone through with surgery, chemo, radiation etc. I would be dead by now. Better than the life I lead. God gives you cancer, he wants you to die. Why fight such a miserable battle?

I spent hours of every day experiencing the amazing benefits of this chant/mantra while in detox and rehabilitation. Always deemed myself a devout atheist as all the modern and I suppose western versions of religion give me little if anything at all I can agree with or benefit from. My Hindu brother I met in the rehab centre taught me the words, and more importantly, the benefits of meditation and mantras alike. A few years after rehab I had stopped reciting anything I learned, and found myself going back down the same road. Every day since I spend as long as possible every morning letting Krishna better my life. Guess I’m not the atheist I once was. Love to all. I used to go to Krishna temple in Watford every week, and that was so peaceful ever. Then, after all of a sudden, I moved to India and did not get a single chance to do such devotion, and one day, I was surfing on RUclips, and again, all of a sudden I got this amazing, peaceful, soothing melody on the screen, I just heard this melody after 6 years and went back in to flash back. Since the day I started chanting Shree Hari's name and back into his lotus feets.

Yes it is a religious song. Even if the words are coming from Hindu vedas (as you explained it to me). Doesn't the music, the rythm still come from the humans ? And in this case can't it be, as the same time, divine words and a piece of art ?
Just like Micheal Ange painting a representation of the Christian god in the Sistine Chapel. It's a religious work but also a piece of art for instance.

@@ArunChhikara Not sure. I am supposed to get another PET scan, but the VA keeps screwing it up. I have to drive an hour each way, while my mom yells at me. At this point I don't care if the the PET scan is positive or negative. I should never gone through with surgery, chemo, radiation etc. I would be dead by now. Better than the life I lead. God gives you cancer, he wants you to die. Why fight such a miserable battle?
Don't loose hope Steve, life isn't just the number of days, but what you make of them. I know it is too easy for me to say and I cannot even imagine the pain and suffering but hold the fort and keep the faith. I'll pray for you.

Claro que si se piensa p en el bhagavad gita y el mantra hari krishna forman parte del sistema hindú y por esta razón no se quieren aceptar, se puede ir a una iglesia cristiana y cantar allí. No hay diferencia entre un proceso y el otro; lo importante es llegar a ser consciente de Dios, siguiendo el proceso que sea. Dios no es musulmán hindú ni cristiano; es dios. Ni tampoco nosotros debemos considerarnos hindúes, musulmanes o cristianos. Esas designaciones son en relación con el cuerpo. Todos nosotros somos espíritus puros, partes integrales del supremo. Dios es pavitram, puro, y nosotros también somos puros. Sin embargo de una manera otra hemos caído en este océano material, y sufrimos con la agitación de las olas. En realidad no tenemos nada que ver con las agitadas Hola de la miserias materiales. Sencillamente debemos orar.
