  • HCSCC Programming Director Markus Krueger demonstrates the geometric patterns of chip carving. Chip carving is a global woodworking tradition, but Markus focuses on the traditional patterns of Northern Europe, specifically Scandinavia.
This video was produced for Pangea 2020, a digital video project that replaced the usual multicultural festival held each November at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minnesota. Pangea celebrates cultural diversity in Fargo-Moorhead and the surrounding region.
Pangea collaborating directors are the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, Cultural Diversity Resources, New American Consortium for Wellness and Empowerment, and Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota.
