+martinaee Kimmel should, Colbert is seriously kicking his ass. Fallon still leads in ratings, but Colbert improved the ratings of The Late Show immensley when it comes to younger viewers compared to Letterman's numbers and between the two of them, Kimmel barely gets any viewers anymore.

Most/many musicians lean democratic or just don't want (public) political involvement. So, especially for Republicans, just find some royalty-free music.
+Phillip Betts In most cases the artist no longer has the rights to the song and is just making a scene when they can't actually do anything. Many campaigns pay for licensed use of those songs from the actual right holders.
