The admech changes are a complete buff and not a sidegrade, the AP buff and debuff from previous doctrinas were only in shooting, protector only active in your deployment zone and conqueror only active in the opponent deployment zone, these were barely cosmetic at times The army rule was only used as army wide assault, the rest didn't matter Now it's straight up BS/WS and the battline part is very easy to get, plus the conqueror AP buff works in both melee and ranged
...nevermind I feel you should have taken the previous rules for reference because there's a lot of misremembering in the video hahaha but I don't blame you, we were really rare in tenth so far :')
DG wasn't a wash, plague marine archetypes went up 40-60pts, their premier action unit (nurglings) no longer functions, and PBCs took strays from the indirect change. BLTs getting even more point drops doesn't make them useable yet, though it's getting close to the "so cheap it's worth the wounds" point on a termie body Zero gt win faction btw.
A lot of big problems with these changes here in my opinion. Very half-assed. When GW makes large changes to the core rules they really need to in turn make sure they aren't just gutting tons of things. I always believe that if a list is made unviable by a change it was too harsh, constantly rotating what's good is not balance. All types of guard outside of mechanized/tank lists are over nerfed, chaos they didn't do any compensating buffs on Dread talons so it's going to be in the toilet even worse and Deceptors has like nearly no wins and it's still not getting any attention but they slap raptors which aren't even good. Same with orks over nerfed by applying too many what's good reactionarily before we've even had tons of data and ignored what's bad like speed freaks. They even hit units that aren't even good like pain boss. I'm of the opinion that if the win rate for these detachments is further from 50% than it was before the change then the change It's a failure because it's become less balanced not more.
How are you laughing off the armored sentinel? 65 points for a t8, 2+sv, lethal hits, reroll wounds on vehicles and monsters, and can take orders from infantry commanders, in a book that doesn't exactly have a ton of good options in it.
When you actually do the maths, it's still not very good. Those things pop super easy at T8 and now that you can't keep respawning them, the value is even less. You outfit it with a lascannon and that's just 1 shot. It'll be interesting to see but I just can't see them doing the work we need.
Thanks for the review guys. Nice to see you too Clement
Enjoyed that, good listen and nice to have clement on. Enjoyed the take guys

Because they can actually do maths and understand strategy, instead of going with every hype that Guard subreddit echochamber comes up with.
