Stay at Home Retreat Description
Retreats are an excellent method of practicing Pratyhara, the 4th limb of Yoga. Pratyahara is internalizing one’s attention. It is the boundary between the external and internal practices of Yoga and the threshold to Oneness-realization.
It is excellent to travel to retreats from time to time for rejuvenation. Yet, it is even better to have a private retreat in one’s own home. This has the power to spiritualize one’s everyday life, and further imbue the home with sacred vibrations. The home is often truly where the heart is, and when the home is full of the sacred light of meditation, so is the heart.
Rather than travel to an exotic or distant location, I invite you to take time from your work and your family and consciously dedicate these 4 days to commit to your spiritual path, further deepen your spiritual well-being, and to give your self permission to rejuvenate your soul.
During this retreat we will come together online for:
Guided meditation practice and training
Yogic philosophy lectures - how to think, act and be like a yogi
Kriya Yoga Meditation Techniques and lifestyle instruction
Seasoned yogic meditators are invited to participate to further hone their practice, and beginning yogic meditators are invited to learn the time tested techniques of Self-realization.
Books by Ryan Kurczak are available on Kindle and Amazon.

The amount of wisdom pouring out of this cat is phenomenal! Combined with a concise speaking style to effectively share all the knowledge he has gathered, I am mesmerized every time he starts teaching. We are all fortunate to be here! Thanks, Ryan! With all my "heart"!
For sure. I agree
ok
I just wanted to say that I've been listening and following Ryan's teachings for the past year and he's articulated this path so clearly to me. I actually feel like I AM realizing myself. Found him randomly, too, at the exact time that his teachings could really resonate with me. I listen over and over and I get something new each time.
I know he doesn't need or even want kudos, but I wanted to give my gratitude expression.
Very good
I'd like to thank You and the Yoga Masters in the past who probably sent you as a precious gift to the English-speaking world! You have this beautiful gentle soul, this open mind that is really representative of a new spiritual age. Most of the time I am aware of others trying to take advantage of me so it is hard to drop my guard since I have to survive here. An unconditional love seems so hard and far-fetched in this dog-eat-dog world! But I saw in your video interviewing your Yoga Teacher, who said that before Yogananda passed away, the Master advise, "DO NOT LET YOUR MIND BE TROUBLED WITH WHAT OTHERS DO AND DON'T DO." Basically, he advised us to set our goal to uncover ourselves and the universe, and devote all our energy to that straight shot. That really comforts me.
Yes, it's a good idea.

I love that you recommend personalizing spiritual practice to suit your own brand of humanity. If you cannot experience something yourself, and verify with your own spirit and intellect, you should not accept anything on faith. Faith is belief without evidence. Even when uttered through the lips of an alleged guru. Spiritual practice should make your heart sing, even when difficult on a physical and mental level. Best regards to Ryan for supplying this powerful message. You are a kin and gentle spirit and we need more like you.

🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just wow to your words and wisdom 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️ 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing these videos. What I particularly appreciate is your encouragement that everybody is different and that we don’t need to surrender to a dogma or a guru. I think we have everything what we need for enlightenment inside us. We might need teaching but the actual work can only done by yourself. The idea that we need to stick to a dogma, “need” a guru, a particular practice is an illusion. Everything is already there inside us. We “just” need to cut through to our inner divinity.
good teachers do help, but do your best
on min 30. OMG, this is exactly what I felt in my last spiritual journey. Our minds, our understanding in this body, in this reality just will never be capable of grasping the real truth about life, universe or whatever IS. Being happy with what we are capable of understanding and grasping, and that is our experience in this body, in this planet. I am very bad at putting things into words, but I am so happy to hear that concept from somebody else too!
: )
This is sooo right ........❤ Thank you 😊 ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

So glad I found this channel. Such a interesting and nice man. Thank you so much for your wisdom.😊 I always love Paramahansa Yogananda 💗 of my beloved teachers of GOD. watching this in 2021. From Washington. So very thankful. 💗💗💗💗

Nice, thanks Ryan

Thanks Ryan 🙏
I came across Kriya Yoga while reading “autobiography of a yogi” and was keen to learn more. So lucky to have found your videos. Just finished watching this one. Can’t wait to learn and practice more. This is exactly what I was searching for. Not sure if this is the ‘end’ or the ‘beginning’ of my search.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Love from Melbourne 🇦🇺🙏
Wonderful!
Ryan I love you and others who take the time to share Kirya Yoga even though so few take the path long term. You said in 16 years you’ve known 5 people who have really done it. Some may feel that’s a poor return on your efforts. But I think it’s worthwhile as they’ve become eternally enlightened. It reminds be of the shepherd in the Bible who rejoices to find the one lost lamb. Your efforts are worthwhile and I am thankful. 🙏
ok
Great work!

I have watched your videos for the last year. I've received great moments from them. But after reading your eBook "A Course In Tranquility" I read it once. I'm going to read it again.
good
The most salient point here is tat it takes a lifetime. Sometimes more. I thank you for stressing this point at the beginning. If one only wants the floodgates of the third eye suddenly blown open, then one should eat a good mushroom. You will see it but you will not understand it and will be able to do nothing meaningful with the experience. You also will not be able to replicate it at will. The road to realization is long but the view is stunning. I have studied under Yogananda SRF for almost 20 years and have just now decided to take the Kriya initiation that I was invited to do so many years ago. You know when you are ready. I do believe in the Savior, though. It is the Word, the Voice of Many Waters, the Aum. Peace.
Alan Watts is awesome. Thank you for mentioning him.
ok
I love the music at yhe beginning of this video.
Who wrote the music?
It's a tune called The Far Away Waltz. Ryan recorded the music with his guitar.
for me focusing on the whisper of the SoHum sound works best. Same with bijas, when I focus on the whisper sound of my voice, it does the trick. I connect to the energy that way. Another thing I read making exhalation longer than inhalation by itself raises kundalini, also inhaling through nose, exhaling through mouth connects mind and body and works on descending current.
If it works for you excellent. Follow your experience.
Thank you for these video lessons! I have been leaning Raja yoga, Bakti yoga, Karma yoga, and Advaita vedanta at the vedanta center by my house. It has been great but they do not focus on energy flow so I think it has been a good introduction for Kriya. yoga.
!
In reference to onion \garlic I must add that in or Vedic society these were avoided by those on the serious path of self inquiry and sadhana as was seen as to stimulating but in our culture we have a lot of mineral deficiencies and onion and garlic are roots that contain sulphur which is deficient in our soil so to keep balance recommend including these in diet and as medicine as any medicine not necessary daily..thanks,steve from london, love your talks and see you as a very good communicator.much appreciation and respect to you ryan.
ok
@57:50 Day of Silence - Ghandi did that one day each week. I believe he started it to aid him in responding to written correspondence, but it soon became very spiritually beneficial. I’ve got to try it.
Indeed.
For me, he is a great teacher... However it is not about the delivery of the message for me as much as I can carry that feeling of deep calming awareness with me in my person which is where it is to begin with as well as without or outside my body and in everyone and everything as he teaches. Thanks Ryan. And all of that goes with you after meditation when it is done in right technique.

KEEP IT UP KID 🙏!!! NAMASTE 🙏

Hey Ryan, this is fantastic. My main practice is Kundalini Yoga, Sri Vidya Kaula Tantra, so I see that as "Kriya-adjacent." My teacher also knows some Kriya, my thought is to pickup some Kriya in the hopes of helping my practice. The onions and garlic I find are healthy for me but I can do without them. My suspicion was that the Buddha frowned on onions and garlic because the monks were meditating in close proximity whenever they were indoors....he didn't want anyone to get smoked out by bad breath. I might be wrong about this.
It effects the system in a dulling way.
Lemon juice and smoked paprika in the chicken soup ... ah, yes !
Shhh...

👍🙏
You should also teach main tecnic of Kriya yog. How to do it and how much main tecnic of Kriya yog to do.
See my other videos.
Thank you Ryan for this wonderful session 🙏 just one question.. by doing Kriya yoga can one be able to see his/her past life(previous incarnation) and if yes how long would it take to reach to that state in this practice? Please shed some light on this
No idea. Never tried,
@17:00 not coming together with God, but realizing that we always have been.
yes
I'm working really hard in gym lifting weights and also eating good amount of protein (120grm)...is it gonna tax my nervous system making my kriya yoga less effective ?
Depends on the person. When I did a lot of kettlebells...overtraining...definitely got in the way. Research symptoms of overtraining. Otherwise, if your meditations are still clear and focused...
Please inform me the qualities required for initiation of kriyayoga
sincerity, discipline, devotion, discernment, patience, committment
Hi Ryan... You have so many videos and which is confusing from where to start please help me
Start with any of the playlists.
Please let us know why you chose kriya yoga out of all the different types of yoga like bhakti yoga, jnana yoga and karma yoga.
I didn't choose it. I didn't sit down and make a list of all the pros and cons of each. Kriya was what I found, so that's what I did.
Please tell me I don't need to give up onions and garlic. Ive become a almost full vegetarian / passive vegetarian. I only eat very little meet. If it been prepared by someone else and not enough to cause the need for them to purchase more meet. However I love my garlic and onions. Also how is it considered a negative pranic food? It doesn't make me tired or sluggish. Thanks Rayn glad I found your channel. Namaste!
If you can still meditate alertly, don't worry about it.
@@KriyaYogaOnline thanks. I didn't realize garlic and onions had neurological effects. I'll try to limit them and make sure I don't eat them before I meditate. I've been meditating about 2 times a day since stopping benzodiazepines February 2018. My doctor had prescribed them for anxiety. I am the last family member left caring for my mother with dementia. I really can't believe it but I'm now calmer than ever. Even though I'd give anything not to see mom suffer from alzheimer's at least finding meditation has been a blessing.
TY AG!
Thank you for your excellent videos Ryan! I would like to ask you if you have ever experienced astral travel aka out of body experiences with the kriya yoga technique?
Not with that technique, but then again, that's not my goal with that technique. I'd advise staying in your body anyway.
Meditation is about being "present" in the present not burdened by the past or anxious about the future . Meditation is the practice of being aware and present in every action
Ok.

Hello Ryan,I have a question i just started the 11 hour introduction to kriya yoga course, Is it okay to do the meditation included ( video file ) from day one and ones on youtube beginners meditations...just asking as i feel guided meditations would be best for me for now...Thank you 🙏
See the guided meditations on the playlist section of this channel to get started. Use the video in the course after you've gone through the course.
Did you compose the intro music to this video?
I recorded it, its a play on an Irish Trad tune called Far Away Waltz.
Hi Ryan,
Many thanks for your videos, I have been inspired to learn Kriya Yoga after reading autobiography of a yogi. I have been practicing Samantha meditation & it felt rewarding but I feel a strong urge to learn Kriya Yoga what would you recommend as I'm a bit torn between the two. Thanks God Bless, please reply.
ok
could you speak of the subtler energetic aspects of posture..do all awakened people have strong posture
Look at Ramana Maharshi's posture. ; )
My understanding: Kriya Yoga is Wisdom and Devotion.
yes
@@KriyaYogaOnline Thank you. I was born on March 7, 1952. I'm sure it means little but puts a smile on my face thinking my witness and presents here now is helping the Will of God? Thank you very much, Ryan. Blessings.
sorry, i get no sound!

Share the chicken soup recipe ;)
If I ever have a lot of free time I thought about setting up a camera and giving a cooking lesson on this topic. Maybe in a few years.
@@KriyaYogaOnline 3 years later would be ok? :)

your video should be in Hindi subtle. For Indian viwers.
Don't know how to do it.
Please English subtitles.

I was with you till the chicken soup, I expected you to be vegan!
Expectations are terrible things, yeah?
Such a lot of talking with no real-world techniques. this is the third video of yours I've watched and I don't have one technical way to do it.
