Overlanding Storage | Front Runner Wolf Pack Boxes | Worth The Money?

Every time we pack our rig and set out on a new Overlanding journey we are constantly trying to be better at finding long term storage solutions. Overlanding storage and Overlanding storage boxes come in all shapes and sizes, pretty much anything you can dream up has already been produced. The problem is its price and durability. Some Overlanding storage boxes run upwards of $500... Which to us is truly insane. Front Runner has a pretty middle of the road option for us less spendy adventurers. The Front Runner Wolf Pack and Front Runner Cub Pack are both well-made Overlanding storage boxes that have a great reputation. We pulled out our wallets and bought a few to try and hopefully save you time on your quest for the best pack job. When we started our Overlanding journey we stuck to the very basics and bought a cheap pack of totes that have worked just fine. The reason we are upgrading our Overlanding storage boxes is that we want to find better ways to pack our gear and utilize the space we have to its full potential. So true we always take way to much and totally agree about spending money my mind set getting into vehicle camping or “overlanding” was get the basics and as we go I will buy what I need or want!

Wolf boxes are made by quite a few companies, some of those do a taller lid which makes them more usable for stuff that's a little bigger, gives an extra 3 or 4 inches I think !!

All they have done is take some old South African army ammo boxes but their badge on and doubled the price

Boxes are great, catches are shit. You can get better catches, I’ve not tried them. I have the taller lids which help. Would like it if they made a bigger size box

I have 4 of those and they are "okay". The lids/covers deformed on me, the plastic latch/catch are crap and they are giving up, they are NOT weather proof, not at all. The steel catch option is an extra $10/box. They are good to stack up outside the truck. I wish that these boxes came in different colors other than black. Not sure that I would buy them again, just not impressed.

I'd probably agree with you on that. I've had them about a year now and I haven't had any latches break, but they're small and really not the greatest box I've ever owned.
