From the description, the heavy haulage load joined the B2011 by the York Street roundabout. I have a feeling that the load carried on along the B2011 road through Capel-Le-Ferne,and then down the devilishly steep hill from Capel down to the roundabout for the turning for Folkestone Harbour. The downhill stretch would have been extremely tricky, which I imagine, would have needed three or four tractor units attached at the rear of the load, in order for the heavy haulage load to proceed down the hill controllably
I remember seeing this incredible heavy haulage load by junction 10 of the M20 motorway. If I remember correctly, it did have to stop near junction 10, because one of its 80 wheels on the trailer part suffered a puncture
I wonder what the overall tonnage of this incredible heavy haulage load is. I've seen that the transformer is 318 tons. I would estimate that the trailer part is approx 220 tons, and I would estimate that each of the tractor units is 35-40 tons each
As a matter of couriosity, how did this get to Dover ? I presume by sea, however I note on the side of the load, what appears to be the Manufacturers is given as a firm in Stafford England
dw69ful While Astom is based in Stafford, the manufacturing plant is in Gebze, Turkey. The transformer was offloading in Dover, but because of high tides, it was too late in the day to set off. This was actually the second attempt at delivery, and it was late then as well!
Before see ships Francis Dover and in holland staying holiday a best friend's theirs gasp my Richard he was my houes staying living room furniture play travel insurance gasp! A rights very!

Those heavy haulage drivers must love their jobs and have loads of patience having to travel so slowly .

wow that is crazy big! great video, thanks for sharing :)
What's the small engine/generator for on the trailer? Is it getting electricity from that rather than the trucks?
Engine drives hydraulics for the steering on each bogie.
