There are so many abandoned properties in Saskatchewan because people moved to cities and these properties have little to no value at all. It’s cheaper to abandon them. There are some small villages in Saskatchewan that have been completely abandoned due to dried economy. Mostly the new generation of Ukrainian settlers that were brought into prairies as farm workers left for cities leaving these houses abandoned
