I was trying to think who Jimmy reminds me of, now it's just clicked. Bradley Walsh 😆😆😆
Similar voice, but 40 years ago (have you seen Bradley recently, he looks rough!)
I was thinking more of a mix between Bradley Walsh and Bradley Cooper
@@curtanee hahahahha!
Jimbo's the secret lovechild of Martin Roberts from Homes Under The Hammer.
Surely Bradley Copper!
I’d put everything in galvanised trunking & conduit.
It looks good & easily expandable for future upgrades .
Looking forward for the finished job
Great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
His unit is in the same place as our new office - gonna undercut you mate 🤣👍
Ffs
Undercut? Nick could buy a house with the amount you would charge.
@@NBundyElectrical One thing you don't have to worry about.
Artisan undercutting you🙄
LOL collab on the install, tons of views
I don't think Jordan knows how to undercut ! 😆😀
Try ATC lifestyle heaters. They are expensive to buy but are brilliant for small commercial spaces
Id suggest blowers that can be used either for heat or on their own to circulate/cool the air during summer , spec for more capacity than required. As for lighting/sockets , install conduit then you can run it mostly in say 25mm. Mind plumbers are like farmers, they have loads of money till you give them a price.
How about some infrared panel heaters? You could mount them up on the frame to save floor space and then if you wanted to remotely switch them on/off you could use some smart plugs sockets (I’m really pleased with my Lightwave RF sockets).
I also have infrared panels in my garage - they go to a thermostatic plug just to keep the chill and condensation off my tools in the colder months. You could also use a thermostatic plug (some of the smarter ones include timers), instead of smart sockets and just leave the thermo plug to run the heating panels when you want by setting the timer
13a internally wired bars are best for studios. would also fit some commando sockets behind for temporary power for stuff such as the electric showers then 16a for 16a to 13a drops for stuff such as camera kit or laptops during recording
I suggest the PlusHeat Power Heater or Ruby heater, they are top class. Should be able to get them in NEW Coventry or CEW Newry in Northern Ireland.
Reverse cycle split AC system for heating, 2 indoor units with single combined outdoor unit. Most have wifi adapters and an app.
You might be better off with ceiling mounting a bank of infrared heaters in the studio space, rather than a single convection heater - especially if you're already going up there to install the double sockets. They're a very common way of heating high ceiling spaces (e.g. churchs) for a lot less power. You'll struggle to get much benefit from a convection heater as most heat generated will get lost up to the ceiling space. And if you're worried about a warm red glow spoiling the studio lighting, go for infrared panel heaters. They can also be low power enough to drive through a smart plug for the desired smart connectivity.
For heaters go with ceramic ceiling or IR CEILING PANELS. no noise
This side of Christmas make my day!
Re: smart lighting: Sonoff R3 switches or Sonoff Mini's in the back boxes to add smart functionality at a fraction of the cost of Philips Hue etc.
He's a plumber surely he can do his own electriks like most plumbers.
Don't go with fan heaters/blowers as they will be noisy during filming. You could take some dimensions and do a rough calculation on the BTUs required to heat the room, taking into consideration the construction of the building which is probably quite 'lossy'. Great banter anyway!
I would use nny-j with metal clad sockets, easy to run and don't need to gland it.
I'd suggest infrared heaters so you heat the people, duplex have a commercial range of fan heaters but that room is going to be difficult to heat with its high ceilings.
If your not a fan of LAP which make of flood light do you recommend. Thanks
Best two guys
plastic conduit for the sockets, you could also run the heating circuits in the same pipe.
I’d tube it. Either black plastic or galv. Know he said convection/blow heaters but we install Rointe heaters. Decent eco heaters and easy to fit
😂😂 great video.
Honeywell smart stat and infered heaters. And about 1kish
Air con use it for heating up large spaces.
What are the chances my favourite plumber RUclipsr and my favourite electrician met up to make a vid 😎👌👌
trypophobia is fear of holes, great video as always
Do you still use SY cable had my shed wired in some just for the aesthetics
I’d go for some industrial infrared heaters.
I would say
Put a coat on and save your money 😂
A plumber asking how many heaters he needs? Get jimmy to do a heat loss calculation
Can't be bummed!
Part storage is the way to go for electric heating, tech is a lot better these days I recommend dynamic heaters!! 2 X 2.4kw
56k Dial up! Those where the days! “Get off the Internet so I want to use the phone” Definitely showing your age Jimmy… and mine 🤣
Has anyone tried infrared panel heaters? The ones that don't have the orange glow. From what I read, they don't heat the air in the room, just the surfaces.
100% radiant heaters. Infra red or gas ambi-rad. Don’t go blowing or heating the air.
What's wrong with Lap? Genuine question. I've not found the quality to be lacking so just wondered. There's definitely some brands you can tell use cheap plastic or are badly made.
Gr8 👍
I would change out the plugs to 15amp fuseless and install 15amp sockets in the the grid, bring them back to a dimmer pack and dmx control them through EOS. much more control.
Liar
Infrared heaters
In Cambridge, just sub it out to the Artisan squad 😂😂
It will be long winded but SWA would look great!
Can't you fit a heat pump or two?
Plumber sockets are a grand each, add the metal clad adds 10% so £8k+£800 metal clad surcharge. Two heater supply £500 each + plumber surcharge of 25% = £1250. £10,250+vat :)
No way convector or storage, definitely quartz halogen, they heat you and not the air,1 in each area will be fine ,they are 1.5kw to 6kw all depends on the size of the area and span which you can work out which one is suitable,I have used them in a gym, looking at the vid should get away with one in each space, the best thing with them you can instantly feel the heat and the clients are well pleased, think we got them from tlc
That's JCC advert really confused me. Dont get me wrong they make great products but who needs an app to help them install led lights on a roll? I have been doing it fine for nearly a decade I don't understand what the app is for? Unless it's aimed at consumers with no electrical background
No idea what heaters but I’d suggest nothing that has a fan blowing or he will forever be turning it off to film
The banter is strong in this one 😆😆😆
Where was Rodger Bisby?
For the heaters add a helicopter fan to blow heat back down
Absolutely agree about the fans. And infra reds for a quick effect after a cold night.
NYY-J cable for sockets
Tado heating controls .
I'd stick IR heaters on a ceiling that high.
Why does Jimmy look so small ?
My suggestion for heating would be give Jimmy a candle 🕯, he's only a small dude it should keep him nice and warm.
potter n hagrid ride again
If I fit things that the customer buys then I don't guarantee them. Makes things awkward though doesn't it.
Electric Boiler? Just need a plumber to install the rads lol
Flexi-con obviously
10k
Use some fans to blow heat down
In my experience when using fans the air blowing down is never quite warm enough and just feels like a cool draft all the time, also noisey and blows the dust around.
Never found ITS to be competitive enough to buy anything from them :-(
Doesnt matter if your VAT registered you just do it cash in hand 😂 no vat am i correct lol
And I thought it was actually going to be a 40K Project. Oh well!

Hold tight
Hold tight......
Trypophobia is the fear of holes
I wouldn’t want a heavy storage heater on the ceiling 😂
Fear of holes - Trypophobia 🤢
£40K seems a bit much, perhaps £30K then charge the same for the afternoon
Bit low that, I think £39,950 is closer
