Id suggest blowers that can be used either for heat or on their own to circulate/cool the air during summer , spec for more capacity than required. As for lighting/sockets , install conduit then you can run it mostly in say 25mm. Mind plumbers are like farmers, they have loads of money till you give them a price.

  • @PGriff

How about some infrared panel heaters? You could mount them up on the frame to save floor space and then if you wanted to remotely switch them on/off you could use some smart plugs sockets (I’m really pleased with my Lightwave RF sockets).
I also have infrared panels in my garage - they go to a thermostatic plug just to keep the chill and condensation off my tools in the colder months. You could also use a thermostatic plug (some of the smarter ones include timers), instead of smart sockets and just leave the thermo plug to run the heating panels when you want by setting the timer

13a internally wired bars are best for studios. would also fit some commando sockets behind for temporary power for stuff such as the electric showers then 16a for 16a to 13a drops for stuff such as camera kit or laptops during recording

  • @johnmit

You might be better off with ceiling mounting a bank of infrared heaters in the studio space, rather than a single convection heater - especially if you're already going up there to install the double sockets. They're a very common way of heating high ceiling spaces (e.g. churchs) for a lot less power. You'll struggle to get much benefit from a convection heater as most heat generated will get lost up to the ceiling space. And if you're worried about a warm red glow spoiling the studio lighting, go for infrared panel heaters. They can also be low power enough to drive through a smart plug for the desired smart connectivity.

Don't go with fan heaters/blowers as they will be noisy during filming. You could take some dimensions and do a rough calculation on the BTUs required to heat the room, taking into consideration the construction of the building which is probably quite 'lossy'. Great banter anyway!

No way convector or storage, definitely quartz halogen, they heat you and not the air,1 in each area will be fine ,they are 1.5kw to 6kw all depends on the size of the area and span which you can work out which one is suitable,I have used them in a gym, looking at the vid should get away with one in each space, the best thing with them you can instantly feel the heat and the clients are well pleased, think we got them from tlc
