Thanks for this. I'm going to finish my first round of chemo tomorrow and my onvologist has prescribed this form me. The oncologist nurse said he's over seen it really bad once which indicates to me that bone pain is a pretty rare side effect. Hope I don't fall into that category!

the bone pain is very common my friend

@@hershbackridin It sure it. I woke up the second day after the first injection and felt like I had an elephant sitting on my sternum. The next day was even worse and I had to call an ambulance as I experienced the worst pain ever. Felt like someone had taken an icepick straight to my chest. Luckily, it was not a heart attack.Spoke to my oncologist and he suggested I take regular doses of paracetamol and iboprufen as soon as I received the injection, to mitigate the anti inflammarory response for the next two days when I got my second injection. Pleased to report that this has resulted in negligible bone pain this time around. Hooray!!!

i'm considering a clinical trial for pegfilgrastim that will require taking 2 doses.. i'm a healthy fit male. would you say it's safe and advisable? appreciate your feedback.

Hi Priyom! That sounds like an interesting trial! I would recommend talking about this with both your cancer doctor as well as your primary care doctor. Pegfilgrastim has been around a long time and has a good track record.

@@therecoveryroom2198 i don't have cancer. this is just a compensated one of those clinical trial ones for those who "consent" to participate :) so i'm just doing my research before i decide if i want to do it, appreciate your feedback!

@@KingPriyom ahhh... got it! I can’t imagine safety would be an issue, but these types of drugs can cause moderate pain for several days after.
