Of all the people that do things like this, JJ Watt may be the greatest ever. I am a Giants fan and I have MONSTER RESPECT for JJ. From his help with the Hurricane Harvey survivors to the Santa Fe school shootings to Make a Wish, I've never seen anyone more charitable, with an almost indomitable will to help. My hat's off to JJ Watt. You truly are awesome.

I never understood why people always say "sorry " when they start to cry. People seem to do that automatically. You just got the worst news a parent can get. There is no need to apologize. You have every right to react any way you want.

So true. I do the same thing. That's interesting that we feel we need to apologize for feeling that way. I guess we feel embarrassed and vulnerable when we cry.
It's conditioning. Some cultures believe it's impolite or wrong to show negative emotion publicly. Folks give consession to kids for open expression, but we're taught to hide our real selfs as we age. Even worse for males, who are denigrated for being emotional.
The love, these NFL players (and other pros) show, and how down to earth they are. They actually care more than we think
J J Watt is a wonderful human being. He gives a lot to his community. He is a person who can set a great example for others.

JJ is the nicest, kindest, most genuine and giving person, and who is so grounded. I knew him as a Badger at the University of Wisconsin, and he's just the best of the best! We could all learn some seriously genuine humanity from this young man. And GO WILL! WILL POWER! You've definitely picked the best possible role model.
